Suddenly a man appeared, standing off to my left, and started into a rant. It was something about how the Americans and the Israelis are the real terrorists, and that democracy is really fascist. He was scary.
University of Waterloo Professor Dennis Stoutenburg was there and tried to calm the man.
“Sir, this is a lecture. Why don’t you sit down and listen?”

No f’n kidding, has anyone watched to Much On Demand(MOD) channel? You pay 75cents to vote for a song. There is a running tally at the bottom of the screen to let you know how the voting is going. Every third or fourth song the “democratically chosen” song gets punted for a Canadian band whose song wasn’t even in the voting list. I’m pretty sure almost no body watches or votes on this channel, you can tell by watching the percentages, often the #1 song has 100% of the vote, then a new song shows up and has 33 percent leaving 66% for the #1 song. This means 3 people have voted, check it out sometime, it’s pathetic.
