The CBC – 3 times more stressful than serving in Afghanistan;
According to a 2005 “wellness” survey of 4,630 CBC staff — which has only now been made public, thanks to an Access to Information request — 44% of CBC staff display symptoms of high-level psychological distress. And in 9 cases out of 10, that distress was reported as work-related.

What a farce! Taxpayers paid to get this info? Who freakin’ cares! I certainly don’t. Toil in the ranks of private business and you’ll see what stress is all about. I walk by the CBC “centre” in Ottawa from time to time often finding myself wanting to scream at these people as they come and go or those standing outside having their smoke letting them know how I despise their journalistic bias and crap they spew. Leeches! What a bunch of little whining self centered pacifists. Boo hoo hoo. Go to hell CBC. Time to remove all subsidies…swim or drown on your own.

Privatizing the CBC is WAY over due. If it is truly a much valued and needed institution (as one hears from CBC enthusiasts), it will survive and prosper in a private existence. If it doesn’t survive and prosper, then we’ll see its true value/need. Sounds pretty simple to me…

Although I do know a couple people who work in production management at the CEEB …. you should hear what shit they have to deal with from mid level management that was hired and promoted on affirmative action programs…..
