Too bad Bush signed a 25 year extension on legislation (Voting Rights Act) banning basic literacy tests for voters and other perfectly reasonable measures, eh?

Let’s take a closer look at the Voting Rights Act:
“The National Voting Rights Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. § 1973–1973aa-6) outlawed discriminatory voting practices that had been responsible for the widespread disenfranchisement of African-Americans in the United States.
Echoing the language of the Fifteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, the Act prohibited states from imposing any “voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice, or procedure… to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote on account of race or color.”
Specifically, Congress intended the Act to outlaw the practice of requiring otherwise qualified voters to pass literacy tests in order to register to vote, a principal means by which southern states had prevented African-Americans from exercising the franchise.”
Obama has a wide lead over McCain among women voters too. Don’t get me started on that mistake.

I noted that those illiterate places are very high in black population who would naturally vote for Barry. It’s scary to think that those folks might decide the election, but then I remember, they will have trouble remembering to go vote or even figuring out where to go vote.
Remember, these are really stupid people.
I note that many of those cities highly placed in illiteracy, are those with a greater number of immigrants from… I’m guessing Mexico for the most part, but also cubans in the Miami area.
So I’d be curious to know if their survey was measuring a great number of these people who cannot read english, as opposed to illiterate in any language. If that’s the case, no doubt that the University of Regina suffers from certain faculties with high illiteracy levels…
Not that the spanish language education in Mexico is to any great standard… but is education in Mexico only funded by the government? that may need to be considered.
Brownsville and Laredo are 120 miles apart yet both deal with the same overwhelming problem.
Miami, Miami Beach, and South Miami Heights? are all in the same metro population.

It seems that it is the blacks who are playing the race card first. That they are framing BO’s candidacy as some form of vengence for past wrongs will not be lost on the white AND hispanic populace. This looks to be another sign that the wheels are well and truly falling off of the BO campaign. If BO is trailing when Denver rolls around we could witness a very bitter, divided, and acrimonious convention.
As I have said before, the first POTUS of color will be elected in 2012 and his name is Bobby Jindal (with a better than 50% chance that his veep will be newt).
Part of me hopes Obama gets elected, why you ask? Because he’s not up to the task, someone is using him as a puppet and I’d like to know who or whom that person or persons are. The left are punch drunk, Obama can do know wrong, even if he screws up royally they won’t care. If he has to act like a world leader and make decisions he’ll be a dismal failure. He’s a purdy box but an empty box sorta like his cult followers.
A quick look at the list and what I’m spotting is heavily concentrated areas of inner city blacks and newly arrived Hispanics and that includes Miami. Both groups share an abysmal record of dropping out of high school. And, don’t confuse Cubans who prefer the term Latinos with Hispanic which implies having Mexican origins.

The Democrats need these dumbed down voters for their survival. Their unions have dumbed down our schools for decades. With every election cycle we have more illiterate, entirely disengaged, and uninformed voters being herded to the polls. It’s sickening.

The Left is voting for emotional security not real security. O’Mama will not know how to handle a bad situation. Some evil people in this world cannot be charmed by this marionette freak show. We are at risk with that Barry in the white house.
If there is a marionette master in the wings calling the shots (and I believe there must at least be one or two big shots programming their boy in the back room). The people have a right to know who that is. We like to think that the people we voted in are the people who will be making the decisions and answering to us for them. That’s how democracy is supposed to work.

I can understand Ludacris exalting people to vote for the black man. But he is not a legit black man in American terms. His mother was white, as was his grandmother who brought him up, and his father was a Kenyan loser. So, I think it’s an insult to black Americans to demand they vote for the Ubermessiah because his skin colour is blackish.
No-one in his familly, including he with his priveleged life, has done the sufferening that American blacks have done. His wife bitches about how hard it is to live on $300k per year. I wish I had that problem.
