The Girls Who Couldn’t Say No

Over at Bread ‘N Roses, Canada’s vocal feminist left doesn’t shrink from the uglier aspects of Islam;

For example, if you co-own a slave she is off limits. Sex with your wife’s slaves is also a no no. But if you are worried because your slave was married when you took her captive… no problem, go to town, she is yours so far as Allah is concerned. Just do not have sex with your slave’s sister because that would be improper unless, presumably, you kill her male relatives and enslave her too in which case no harm no foul. No word on the age of… well, consent is not exactly a factor here…

Well, actually, they do. For the really tough jobs, we need the masculine right.

  1. I’m offended!
    Where do I get a CHRC complaint form?
    Oh! Nevermind. I’m a white, married, employed, Christian, Canadian-by-birth male.
    I have no Rights.
    Silly me.

  2. The only thing that makes this progressive rabble different than the rest is that dear rosie takes a shot at Islam. How totally neocon.
    btw, Carrie Fisher also stole my heart so many years ago.

  3. Going to these blogs always makes me feel like I have entered an alternate Universe. Bizzro world where everything is backward.
    I often wonder how these people function in the real world or if privation of the real kind ever hit, how could they cope?

  4. Dear Kate, you have two identical links in your posting…was that intentional? Maybe I’m daft, but I’m not following your lead.

  5. Casual comment on Bread ‘N Roses: “one very simple solution to male domination of this world”.
    Sounds eerily similar to “the final solution”.
