  1. Help me out Vitruvius, I have some Dave Rutherford/Adler audio files I would like to post on my blog. Blogger doesn’t seem to support audio, but they send me to sites that don’t do what I want. I want to take an audio file I have saved, and publish it on my blog, can you help?

  2. To be clear, Hunter, tonight’s SDA LNR content was not uploaded by me; it’s hosted by the Free Old Time Radio Shows web site, and I just linked to it. That said, I have used keepandshare.com to publish a couple very old records via The Sagacious Iconoclast, but be careful. If you upload to the Internet content that someone may claim copyright on, and they do so, then you will be held responsible for having done that, under our property laws. Beyond that, your personal risk analysis is of course up to you.

  3. Is Mr. Obama eligible to run for president of the United States?
Firstly, where is the original birth certificate?
    and secondly…
if born in the United States, of an american citizen mother, who has not lived in the United States for 5 years after attaining the age of 16, (his mother was 18 when she gave birth to “Barry” and a non citizen father, he is simply is not eligible.
Regardless of his place of birth, because his parents weren’t eligible yet… and she wouldn’t have been eligible until she attains the age of 21.
Does anyone care to investigate? It’d be an excellent fourth of july present for the Democrats… even better than knowingly sleeping through 20 years of sermons.

    REG
They bled us white, the bastards. They’ve taken everything we had. And not
just from us, but from our fathers, and from our fathers’ fathers.
    LORETTA
And from our fathers’, fathers’, fathers.
    REG
    Yeah.
    LORETTA
And from our fathers’, fathers’, fathers’, fathers.
    REG
Yeah, all right, Stan. Don’t labour the point. And what have they ever given
    us in return?
    XERXES
    The aqueduct?
    REG
    What?
    XERXES
    The aqueduct.
    REG
Oh yeah, yeah. They did give us that. That’s true, yeah.
    UNNECESSARY
    And sanitation.
    LORETTA
Oh yeah, the sanitation, Reg. Remember what the city used to be like.
    REG
Yeah, all right, I’ll grant you the aqueduct, the sanitation are two things
    the Romans have done…
    MATTHIAS
    And the roads.
    REG
Well, yeah. Obviously the roads, I mean the roads go without saying, don’t
they? But apart from the sanitation, the aqueduct, and the roads…
    VESTIGIAL
    Irrigation.
    XERXES
    Medicine.
    EXPENDABLE
    Education.
    REG
Yeah, yeah, all right. Fair enough…
    SUPERFLUOUS
    And the wine.
    PFJ
    Ohhhh yeah…
    FRANCIS
Yeah. Yeah, That’s something that we’d really miss, Reg, if the Romans left,
    huh?
    UNNEEDED
    Public baths.
    LORETTA
And it’s safe to walk the in streets at night now, Reg.
    FRANCIS
Yeah, they certainly know how to keep order. Let’s face it, the only ones
who could in a place like this! (indicating them)
    PFJ
    (general agreement)
    REG (irritated)
All right. But apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine,
public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system, and public
health… What have the Romans ever done for us?
    XERXES
    Brought peace?

  5. “his mother was 18 when she gave birth to “Barry” and a non citizen father, he is simply is not eligible”
This would make his father a poeaeiouandsometimesydophile, yes? A sex offender? A rapist who came to America to rape children under 18?
Women under 18 cannot legally consent to sex with 23 year old men, now, or in the 60s. Why isn’t this rape a bigger story?

  6. Just rented the latest Denys Arcand film L’Age des Ténèbres (The Dark Ages?) which is a follow-up to his Oscar winning film L’Invasion des Barbares (The Barbarian Invasions) and also Le Déclin de l’Empire Américaine.
It is a great satire of many things, but especially the awful bureaucracy of the nanny state. It is also incredibly politically incorrect and at one point features a bunch of medieval times reenacters calling for a crusade against the Muslims.
Very touching too since, as in his previous film about baby boomers realizing their mortality, it shows the main character dealing with his mother’s decline and death.
It didn’t get great reviews, I think partly because it satirizes journalists and also because Arcand did less promotion this time around since his Oscar-winning film took a year out of his life as he toured the world promoting the film.

  7. Liberalsocialist-Marxist-Leninist Stephane Dion is a citizen/citoyen of France.
Why is that fact not mentioned by NP?
What was Dion studying in Paris? French literature? No.
Citoyen Dion was studying Marxism-Leninism and its Big Lie: *’the worse the better’.

    *”‘the worse the better'”
“While imprisoned in Petrograd’s Peter and Paul Fortress—from 1862 to 1864—he wrote “What is to be done?·”, a novel deemed by many of his contemporaries as a handbook of Russian radicalism. So influential was this book that it led to the creation of a strong and widespread—if ultimately failed—, populist Land and Liberty political society. V.I. Lenin named one of his pamphlets after Chernishevsky’s novel and it was the hero of Chernishevsky’s novel who coined the phrase ‘the worse the better’: the worse the social conditions became for the poor, the more willing they would be to support a revolution.”

“More anti-war figures are voicing their opinions about contradictory and confusing statements regarding Iraq made Thursday by presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama, and the news is clearly not good for his campaign. One such concerned party is Tom Hayden, the famed ex-husband of Jane Fonda who, along with Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin, was part of the Chicago Seven that incited riots at the 1968 Democratic National Convention.

  9. Mugabe + socialism = Theft and Death.
Labour, NDP, Liberal, fascism, nazism, communism, etc. = variants of Mugabe’s socialism.

“Exclusive: secret film reveals how Mugabe stole an election”
    ” Link to this video
A film that graphically shows how Robert Mugabe’s supporters rigged Zimbabwe’s election has been smuggled out of the country by a prison officer. It is believed to be the first footage of actual ballot-rigging and comes as Zimbabwe’s president faces growing international pressure.
Shepherd Yuda, 36, fled the country this week with his wife and children. He said that he hoped the film, which was made for the Guardian, would help draw further attention to the violence and corruption in Zimbabwe.
Much of the footage was shot inside the country’s notorious jail system.”

“NYT: Maybe Greenland Isn’t Melting After All
For years, climate alarmists in the media have loved showing video footage of Greenland glaciers slipping into the ocean in order to evoke feelings of global warming gloom and doom in the citizenry.
On Friday, the journal Science is publishing a seventeen year study of Greenland’s ice sheet that flatly contradicts all such hysterical reports and claims.
In fact, the paper concludes that such melting is a normal summertime event, and that when looked at over a longer period of time, there has been little change in the ice sheets in this region, and even possibly a slowing in glacial movement.
    Imagine that.
Somewhat surprisingly, the New York Times’ Andrew C. Revkin appears to be the first to report some of the findings (emphasis added):”

  11. Living in the country and being cheap, I rely on rabbit ears for my telly. My choices are TVO or CTV. You can imagine how large my DVD collection is with htose two choices as an alternative. Tonight the CTV Movie is the “Henry Morgantaler Story”. Hmmmmmm- do you think they booked that one months ago? or do you think it was a cynical ploy to cash in on a controversy.
I suppose it doesn’t really matter. Ivan Fecan is still an idiot. I like one of the American shows he brings in- the Dance one, something about those Samba costumes, I guess.
