You have a paper (as all of you know, the IHT is owned by the NYT) that is in crisis.
In a big crisis.
For many years.
Losing money.
Losing readers.
Losing advertising.
Losing market share …
And what your bosses do?

Being Liberal is now contra-survival. To many lies, evasions or skullduggery. We always knew socialism was a mental illness. Sad to see the prognosis in full hideous bloom by its elite. It’s a death cult that kills all it touches including industries that fall under its sway. The real talent will prosper as the chaff blows away. Count on it.
Typical leftards and their thinking. Make it look like you are doing something, when in truth you are only making things worse. When are these offensive polluters and destroyers of forests going to finally sink? Hey Goracle. Why aren’t you after their asses for destroying Gaia? Oh right. You are jetting off to that land of mafioism and facisim,Italy, to make an opera.
Yeah, I scrolled up, even before he predicted I would.
A number of years ago the Edmonton Journal “changed its look” and I didn’t notice it until someone pointed it out to me. The articles were the same as were the editorials and the comics.
A number of years ago Global took over the local TV station ITV. I regularly watched the ITV news but I was so disgusted with the Liberal spin inserted by Global that I quit watching the local news.
Memo to the media: “ITS THE MESSAGE STUPID”.
They just don’t get it and probably never will. They are severely stuck on stupid.
That croaking creature is a traditional newspaprus.
There are many big stupid firms throwing their advertising dollars away in those flyers we dump out of the *daily* before reading it.
For various small service firms I used to run, the one piece mailbox flyer worked well.
Notice that Telus, Shaw, Bell, and the political powers *talk* to us effectively this way. .. eh? = TG
whithout government there is no end game

Someone tell me that Gumby is *not* the model for Trailer Park Boy’s similarly odd character “Bubbles”.
Yes, when/if people hate you it’s best to grovel -then they’ll respect you. You may even get a pat on the head and the last bit of their biscuit. Although the IHT may have had the biscuit already.
With government, there is no end game, beyond four years, that is.= TG
The lefty elites, that are in charge of education and MSM, belief that “everybody hates the West in general and America in particular” is a case of projection. We’ve allowed the loons to be at the helm for too long.
….”do you think that without the flag the paper will be more accepted in places that hate us today?”
CNN International, whose content we never see here, is rabidly anti-American, playing to the “they hate us” audience. And, I read somewhere that Hollywood with their increasingly smarmy anti-American movies dont’t really care that they are a bust in the domestic box office because they really have their sights on overseas distribution.
I despise these people. They are amoral collaborators with people and ideologies that would harm us. They really don’t care. They can’t be financially starved, shunned and ridiculed into the ground fast enough.
When faced with immanent insolvency, the management decides focuses all their attention on the design of the mast head graphic.
We have seen this kind of thing before. It happens in all bureaucracies eventually, and it even has a name: the Peter Principle. The promotion of an individual beyond their abilities.
In large, stable companies with little pressure from competition, you end up with a really expensive layer of people who work hard but don’t really do anything that needs doing. If something changes in the business environment these people basically bring the company down like a chainsaw on a redwood.
That’s what happened to IBM in the 1990’s. The company fixed it by basically firing half their staff at one shot.
The newspaper biz is now going through the same thing. About damn time too.
The ONLY time I buy a newspaper is when we are going to clean the window. Vinegar and newspaper does a great job and no unfriendly chemicals involved if you don’t count the ink or the editorials.
OOOh, This is rough on all Liberal left newsprint.
Let*s hold on to the National Post though…
OK? There remains some sprinkled virtue there and in the FP. = TG
