  1. How quickly they sell themselves for hire. Street walkers of science. The Barnem & Baily’s circus of an ever roveolving progression of lies wrapped in the tissue of plausability.
All for the praise of men, influence, or control & their own fortune of course. They are like fruitflies breeding ever new mutations, but forever staying just a fruitfly with a fruitflys life.

  2. Even the LA Times’ Jonah Goldberg sees through Suzuki’s scam;

[.. you see that environmentalism is in fact a perfect 21st century remapping of traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs and myths.]

[Environmentalism’s most renewable resources are fear, guilt and moral bullying. Its worldview casts man as a sinful creature who, through the pursuit of forbidden knowledge, abandoned our Edenic past. John Muir, who laid the philosophical foundations of modern environmentalism, described humans as “selfish, conceited creatures.” Salvation comes from shedding our sins, rejecting our addictions (to oil, consumerism, etc.) and demonstrating through deeds an all-encompassing love of Mother Earth.]

Sounds like Suzuki, doesn’t it? Billboard image and all.
Kyoto/Gaia worshiping – ‘my religion is just as good as yours’ – ‘well anyways, its no worse’.
    Collection plate, carbon tax.

  3. Probably paid for (lighting included) by your tax dollars or possibly some carbon offset credits. To quote a famous political commentator, ” What a maroon, nyuk, nyuk…”.

  4. One can almost see the thought bubble: ‘don’t notice the poionous mercury that will be going into landfills. Don’t notice….’

  5. Well you have to give Dr.David Suzuki some credit.
Can any of you name even ONE other visible-minority on the whole planet that actually gives a shit about the enviroment?

  6. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, as an electrical engineer, CFL bulbs are one of the most hideous technologies invented in a long time, and they represented one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on the consumer in the last 100 years.
The fact the Suzuki would lend his image to help flog them tells you all you need to know about him.

  7. That should have been “represent” not “represented”…it’s never good to type when you’re in a huff.

  8. So how come Suzkooky isn’t telling us how to safely dispose of these mercury ladden nightmares?
Or does he figure we can just flush it all into the Pacific,to go along with all the raw sewage?

  9. I need more caffeine. I thought that was a mushroom cloud over his palm — “Finally a message from David Suzuki that I can agree with!” Alas, it is not so.

  10. Spooky, never know where that guy will pop up.
Mock up of Florence Nightingale, the lady with the lamp?
Maybe he and Gore should admit what they’re up to, team up as ‘whores are us’.
When will he autograph photos of himself in that pose he made a few years back with nothing but a fig leaf covering his family jewels?

  11. From Doug quoting LA Times’ Jonah Goldberg:
“[At its core, environmentalism is a kind of nature worship. It’s a holistic ideology, shot through with religious sentiment.]”
I agree with this as it applies to the disciples the faithful followers of the Lords of Fear.
Doomsayers Gore, Suzuki and Paul Watson and their ilk all profit from environmental emotionalism. Does Suzuki know that the lights are in fact nothing but an emotional feel-good fix? Does Watson know that cute baby seals tug at the heart-strings of the mortally insecure? And Al Gore: Does he know that his prophesy of doom has the discouraging effect on the enthusiasm and our children who go to bed at night with their demons?
They don’t care. There’s money to be made by this slimy fearmongering.

  12. Mr.g, what exactly is a “visible minority”, and what does that comment mean? Do you judge an individual’s position, or worth, or the validity of his position on ethnicity? If Suzuki, (who I think is a deluded, indoctrinated, tax funded fool) were of caucasion decent, would you look at his ideology or his cause differently? When I look at Suzuki, I see a Canadian environmental fascist and extraordinary hypocrite, and whatever “minority” he may be in is completely irrelevant.

  14. Hmmm. ‘visible minority’ is something we don’t need to bother with here. No need to use a PC phrase when the arrogant idealogoy of agw is more than enough.
However… one does wonder: how much of his hate rhetoric comes from bitterness about the internment camps of the 40s? Sometimes Leftists do have reasons for their hatred of Western society.

  15. Mrg. Suzkooky cares about the enviroment? Bwahahahaha. Good one. If he cared so much,he would get rid of his mansions, stop flushing his crap into the Pacific, quit flying everywhere, etc. He cares only about his image, power, and money! And his enthinicity has dick all to do with it. The biggest liars and Ponzi scammers of all time,Gore and Mo-Stlong are white. So what? They are still fraudsters. Does the “g” stand for Mr Gullible?

  16. I think what he meant with ‘visible minority’ is that AGW is a rich white liberal concern.

  17. the bulb must be very bright, he is squinting.
I think the bulb shape is meant to say scre w you Canada.

  18. “I think what he meant with ‘visible minority’ is that AGW is a rich white liberal concern.
Posted by: bob at May 22, 2008 10:32 AM ”
OR he could have meant that only one “visible minority” buys into the AGW scam?

  19. “odd that socialists ALL live in the biggest houses they can afford”…..i heard that in england…many years ago…never forgot it….
    it’s got some true pith.

  20. John Hamon, a well know right wing writer and columnist in the SW corner of Saskatchewan, once dubbed the followers of David Suzuki as “The Suzukian Cult.” Ditto on that!! To Cal2: Love the “squinting” joke!!

  21. Now there’s a moment I could get into the “Earth Day Turn the Lights off” thingy.
We’ve gone through 3 of those bulbs in the house.
The incandescents that are elsewhere are STILL working.
    Global warming………..ptooooie!

  22. those squigly bulbs don’t work in the cold
they have been known to explode and cause fires
they don’t last as long as advertised
they are essentially fluorescent bulbs which are a very unnatural source of light for your home
    they’re expensive
    and they’re made in China
what a scam – Suzuki has no credibility
he shall forever be known as a hysterical communist

  23. I presume that the comment about “visible minorities” was saying that it is only the rich, white, smug, sanctimonious, ecofascists who are tring to control our way of life.
People in developing countries are not preoccupied with AGW myths and are unlikely to be buying overpriced, overhyped, inefficient fluorescent lightbulbs.
They, perhaps, have more common sense than we do.

  24. Great lights those squiggly Suzukers, had one break and fall on the floor with a couple of mid sized chickens in a shed, killed them both, I would hate to have one go off in childs room, that would almost be as bad as that little pervert Suzuker sneaking into the treehouse with random kids in the neighborhood, or sneaking into some poofters basement admonishing him about his beer fridge and not getting a hockey stick over the goatee. Liberalism has to be classed as a mental disorder before the clowns break us all with these energy prices thanks to the Scam of the Century, global warming.

  25. I would like to see Sa zoo kee on a treamill with a circut attached from the treadmill to a squiggly light bulb. Way back in the ‘dark’ ages our physics class did this experiment with a static bike. It would be a cutsy wootsy photo op.

  26. how cold does it have to get before a visible minority decides we should have global warming?

  27. If brains were visible through the skull, the Left would BE a ‘visible minority.’

  28. Didn’t Uncle Fester used to be able to light bulbs up something like that too?

  29. I think what he meant with ‘visible minority’ is that AGW is a rich white liberal concern.
From: http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com/ (it’s pretty funny, check it out):
“If you have decided that you want to improve your status with white people by applying a bumper sticker to your car do not make the assumption that you can just use anything! Stickers that support right wing politics, guns, patriotism, war, or hunting are all unacceptable. It is also unacceptable to use a sticker with a clever slogan that does not support a left wing political cause. Any of these stickers will likely end any chance you had of befriending a white person.”

  30. here’s a bumper sticker idea for you;
    SUZUKI IS A COMMUNIST
    put that on your Hummer

  31. He hustles climate for bucks.
…. eeewwwwwww. Shouldn’t he stick with the does?

  32. Ookie pukie DAVID SUZUKI sorry but i cant afford those dediculous pigtail bulbs and GORE and SUZUKI are both pair of DIM-BULBS
