    Sure it’s propaganda of the worst sort, but Canadian universities provide experiences that allow students to detect propaganda when they see it, don’t they? Canadian universities provide a balanced education and teach students to think about all sides of an issue, don’t they? Just have faith in the liberal arts institutions in Canada; surely they are providing students with the wherewithal to give this the evaluation it deserves. You know they were just funnin’ us with all that stuff about “Israeli Apartheid Week”.

  3. Wow, a 10,000 plus sq. ft. home for Reverend Wright worth 1.6 million. Couldn’t this church that ministers to the poor found better use for the money? They really do take care of their retiring clergy. Guess life in America is not so bad after all.
    Maybe this is why Obama never thought that the Reverend’s controversial sermons should be taken too seriously. He didn’t really believe any of that poison he was spewing; it was just theatre not unlike the Suzuki and Gore roadshows. It’s all about power and money.

No second thoughts as to the veracity of Brenda Martin’s claims, just another spurious opportunity to try to convince Canadians Tories are just as dishonest and incompetent as the preveious government.
    Brenda Martin tearfully bares her soul to the world when she thinks she might get out of jail, but when it comes back to bite her, then her privacy rights have been violated.
    No wonder these morons don’t want to fight election against Tories. They’re even more pathetic than I thought.

  20. On the Global Warming front. Environment Canada forcasting -18 overnight tonight. 3 inches of snow in Camrose yesterday. Hwy 2 from Ponoka to Red Deer was a death highway. Stars was kept hopping. Yep things are really warming up.

    The reason for this shutdown is not to hurt this country in any way shape or form. But is in fact a peaceful method of sending a message to Washington, D.C. That we do indeed need help & our industry is the backbone of life in America as we know it.
    The why of it covers issues that you & I as truckers, both O/Os & Co. drivers face on a daily basis. These problems range from excessive Regulations ie., Fuel, Federal & State Fuel tax’s, excessive DOT regulations on NON-SAFETY related items, Excessive Insurance Pre., The list goes on & on.
    The when of it, is APRIL 1st, 2008 {see http://www.uscattlehaulers.com } I & several others picked that date for a reason. April 1,2008 is Aprils Fools Day, that being said, we as an industry are going to send a Strong message to the otherwise FOOLS in Washington, D.C. that *enough is enough*
