  1. The “writers” guild strike must really be impacting the sock puppets who do TV news…left without “creative” scripting there really is no news sensational enough to pander.
Speaking of the asteroid Kate…I was watching one of the alphabet network news casts doing a piece on Iraq where the “on the scene reporter” was actually in a bombed out part of southern Lebanon ( the road sign he passed had milage to Beirut on it) then he went into a diatribe about the infrastructure damage the US ground forces were doing in Tukrit Iraq…obviously remote broadcasting in safety but with some ruins as a back drop to set the dramatic effect of his theatrical “news” presentation.
As he became very animated and fervent about what “his” nation had done to “these people”, while standing in a bombed out Hezbollah fortress, I thought I caught a glimpse of the asteroid entering the atmosphere just on Camera at the top right of the screen 😉

  2. “Still, one network executive charged that audiences for those shows are “borrowed” viewers. “A majority of those viewers come in for that show and then leave,” the executive said.”
Who ever sticks to one station simply because it is their favourite station? Perhaps the sports network, but NBC? Then again, I don’t have cable. My choices are a fuzzy global, CBC or CTV. I end up watching CTV most of the time because I can’t stand most of what is aired on CBC. And when CTV has junk, I turn it off. It is about the shows, not the network.

  3. Apparently MSNBC is going to be making DEEP cuts in the news organization. They will be firing senior directors and editors but retaining the very important on air personalities.
Mathews Olbermann and Abrahms were specifically mentioned in the media report.
It occurred to me that If there ever was an credibility in the organization it could only have been in the senior news staff. Now …. none to be found.

  4. But if I look down I find money!
Plus I’ve earned like 20 google bucks, I need some socialist to advocate a minimum wage for bloggers,
Hard to have sympathy for them when for the most part they only push one political viewpoint.
    😉
    Ps I’m not that little.

  5. The lamestream media, telling you what to think for forty years. They know in their heart of hearts that they’re better than you, and it’s your fault for not understanding that.
