18 Replies to “Kyoto backlash in New Europe”

  1. By now it’s obvious to all except the deeply delusional green commie cult that Kyoto was a corporate plan which used the climate as an excuse to start a new market place in trading a colorless, odorless inert gas….the biggest scam since the creation of fiat money.
We now see a second side benefit where the carbon credit industry enriches the bottom feeding lawyers who seem to always profit from the world’s worst ideas.

  2. As I have said before, this will probable go down as one of the biggest scams of the 21st century.

  3. Euro gearheads I correspond with have a major hate on for anything to do with greenies or Kyoto. Four bucks a quart gasoline is just the beginning of the foolishness they have to put up with.
People tend to vote their wallet, and lots of Euros are damn tired of getting their pockets picked by these green scams.

  4. Hahahahahahaha
Who says Reality doesn’t have a sense of humor?
What else is there to say about the on-going collapse this global joke?
    I call it Kyoto Ugly!
    Again, I say … hahahahahahahah.

  5. What a lovely side benefit to the GW cause, especially for all the lawyers. This could become one of the biggest boondoggles in history, as attorneys battle it out in court for decades.
Global Warming/Climate Change is probably the second biggest scam in history, Communism deserves first place status in the Human Hall of Shame.

  6. This is what Jack Layton wants to have an election over. No way we can comply with Kyoto unless we purchase international carbon credits. They are ostensibly for helping exempt countries develop or use existing clean technologies. Take China for instance, where Bejing is so polluted that the Olympic athletes are concerned about their upcoming performance. Can anyone provide a real example of any carbon credit reducing CO2 emissions? There must be at least one example, eh?

  7. The entire premise of man-made climate change is now in its death throes.
There’s only one way to maintain the scam, and that’s to convince enough intellectual sloths that the science is settled.
Science is never settled since knowledge is constantly being revealed.
The climate change advocates are already way behind the science and should be cast as dinosaurs whose time has passed them, thanks to the inquisitive nature of the real seekers of knowledge.

  8. DMorris: Let’s not give “Crony Capitalism” (corporate feudalism) a free ride in the global hall of shame….. the greed and averice this virulent form of globalism has spawned, is a rival for the ills of statist collectivism ( communism) and the cartels that run it and profit from its monopolization of wealth and political power.
Kyoto was a product of crony capitalism ( Moe Strong excels at this and rationalizes this as “socialist capitalism”…it is still a form of monopoly or crony capitalism which has been practised ny the ruling political class in Communist dystopias since the turn of the century)
The Kyoto profiteering idea was for those on the inside ( who knew where the carbon guilt would drop), would profit greatly from the inside info in directing thei investment. Also from setting up “banks” in the guilt ridden jurisdictions to deal with “guilt trading” and sell absolution.
Now we see the legal pofession bottom feeding on the few scraps left by the carbon cartels have as their scam collapses.

  9. “Can anyone provide a real example of any carbon credit reducing CO2 emissions? There must be at least one example, eh?”
Yes … I switched from All Bran and bought some lower fiber Corn Flakes as an offset for a few days.
I noted a reduction in gas emissions, but I was not as regular, had a tummy ache.

  10. I think there may be a more viable offset program that will appease the Left and help our furry friends.
I propose setting up a “Meat Offset” program. Most of us cannot fathom the vegan life-style, but do feel a bit bad about the abattoir industry.
Sooo, buy Meat Offsets from Peta and they will use the money to protect dogs from Michael Vick and make his life a living hell as it should be.

  11. I am sure that turning my furnace off since July has reduced something, especially my gas bill.
However, putting in an a/c and several fans might have offset that.
Has anyone read or heard a comment on the above topic from algore or fruitfly. Has anyone heard or seen algore since his carbon producing concert last july.

  12. John West:
PETA stands for “People Eating Tasty Animals”.
The whole Kyoto Karbon Kredit Kult (KKKK tm) is just another giant fraud perpetrated by elites to exact guilt payments from the scientifically illiterate.
WLMR is correct this is just another over sized scam to elicit MONEY from gullible nonthinking populations.
    Cheers

  13. If Dion is ever PM he will use the surplus to buy credits from Strong.
To think all the planning and stealing by the liberals to invest in China and set up a carbon trading business is going down the drain.
Is Strong involved in any toy factories, pet food factories etc in China.

  14. That’s the family compact for ya. Mo Strong out front clearing away obstacles. The Cretin ensuring free access to first world markets. Mr Dither’s ships delivering the toxic cargo. Somewhere in the background is the zimbobrae clan, pseudo socialists in their $3000 suits, providing the diversions. Oh ya, they were banking big time on Kyoto and the flows of moolah from the 1st world to the 3rd world, with them as the middlemen(kind of sounds like some Italian “business” men we hear about from time to time – relax, my family is from Pisa). F&*%ing librano thieves!

  15. I agree with comments here . . . but do not share the optimism that this scan is over yet. So far, I have not seen much indication of a change of viewpoints from MSM — with the exception of the National Post which has always taken a more open minded view of AGW. Also — just a few weeks ago the Premiers had global warming at the top of their list of concerns to be discussed at their conference. I have a feeling that reality of Kyoto and the crumbling tower of Babel that is man-made global warming will take a while to make its way into the Canadian public’s consciousness.
