Interesting note from the event: the Conservatives thought so much about Israel that Minister John Baird attended. By contrast, the Liberals only sent Stéphane Dion, Michael Ignatieff, Bob Rae, Gerard Kennedy, Ken Dryden, Martha Hall Findlay, Joe Volpe, Anita Neville, Irwin Cotler, Carolyn Bennett, Susan Kadis, Judy Sgro, Mario Silva, Borys Wrzesnewskyj, Senator Art Eggleton, Senator Jerry Grafstein, as well as a huge contingent of provincial Liberals and federal Liberal candidates like Bonnie Crombie, Deborah Coyne, Caplan, Kwinter, David Zimmer and Mario Racco to name a few.

Ted, I think the point is not the nature of the event, which may be a worthy one, rather it is that Dion, no matter how hard he tries, does not come across as a strong leader. This may be unfair, but hey, Harper has taken a lot of flak for supposedly coming across as an impersonal, nerdy guy. Dion is just very hard to take seriously, given his stilted, fractured inarticulate speech as well as his..erm… rather awkward body language and mannerisms. Remember the incident where he used a knife and fork to eat a hot dog in Winnipeg? If Cons are fair game for this sort of mockery, then so are Libs.
Liberals attending to save face? Maybe so. Maybe not.
But how does that explain that the only Conservative to think it worth his time was John Baird?
Because they were too busy working to take the entire caucus on a day trip (holiday) to go make an appearance just for a photo op???

The federal Liberals were famed for their ‘multiculturalism’, ie, money-for-votes agenda.
Canada? What did they do? Nothing. They set up a particular governing infrastructure where they taxed at high rates and then, set up a patronage infrastructure of a Liberal dominated civil service, judiciary, RCMP, MSM, Senate – and bought votes.
