It’s not really news anymore that someone connected to the Librano and/or UN Crime Families has a scam on the go.. It would be newsworthy if one of these fartsuckers was found to not be scimming money or commtting fraud. I’ll give the state run news agency a pass if they don’t report this.

What is distressing is that Strong is so low profile here in Canada. If people even know his name, they have no idea of how much power her wields. I find it interesting that CIDA provided funding for the Peace University deal. I strongly suspect that Strong was behind the 1 million a week being sent to China under the Libs. When the conservatives brought up the issue they were simply told the funding was not going to stop, and I believe this response came from CIDA. And who knows what wheeling and dealing is happening with both Chretien and Martin in China lately. We also know that Strong is the king pin steering Kyoto, which clearly also has access to tons of money for funding protestors, doing reports (Stern’s), conferences, etc. etc. — all of it driven directly or indirectly by Strong. All of this, under the radar. I am convinced that Kyoto is the new oil for food and that the whole thing is completely diabolical. Why virtually no interest from the Canadian media?
I listened to the radio version of CBCpravda on the drive home from work. It tends to be even more “all liberal all the time ” than the website. not sure why I do it , its the old dog returning to vomit syndrome.
anyway the story was the liberals complaining that the justice committee has too much law and order bills to revue. 9 in all. of course CBCpravda in its balance only interviewed liberal opposition and they said it was a Tory ploy to put so much law and order on the books that no one ( especially liberals- my add) could possible review and pass it. it included age of consent legislation ( the 14 year limit is still popular in PQ)and of course accountability type legislation.
anyway the whole story was a to make it look like the tories were using the promised law and order bills only as a future election plan not as a fulfilment of the past promise. straight liberal propoganda from start to finish . and being a liberal story there were no “critics say”

cal2, I heard the same crap on CBC this evening. The good the CPC’s doing on the law and order file was totally spun from the left’s perspective. In fact, the CBC “story” was just that: not news, just views to unjustly malign the Tories. And that’s now, quite clearly–and brazenly–CBC’s agenda.

Since Canadian consumers of the traditional media aren’t privy to the sort of overt details about Maurice Strong that Rosett gives us, it’s easy to forget the scope of his questionable dealings, and his influence on Kyoto and Canadian politics. Ten years ago, in the National Review (an American publication) Ronald Baily fleshes him out: “A small cadre of obscure international bureaucrats are hard at work devising a system of ‘global governance’…Maurice Strong, a 68-year-old Canadian, is the ‘indispensible man’ at the center of this creeping UN power grab.”

The bottom line is, shouldn’t all Canadians be given the opportunity to take a closer look at this man, so that we may better understand the actual ideals behind Kyoto? Shouldn’t CBC run a Tommy Douglas-style biopic, or something? Or at least mention him once every ten years?
