Last evening’s Global news coverage of the Liberal leader’s stop in Regina described Ralph Goodale’s actions around Stephane Dion as akin to that of a “campaign manager”. That was a nice way of putting it. I noticed something else – as Dion begin to take one reporter’s question, Ralph quickly inserted himself between the Liberal leader and the microphones and answered it for him. (If anyone can find a clip of that, let me know).
What was Dion saying, and why was Ralph in such a hurry to shut him up?
The Global segment ended with Goodale at the speaker’s podium with Dion standing behind him looking on.
Meanwhile, we have ourselves another “independent farmer” sighting! Check out this passage from the Canadian Press version carried in CTV’s online report of the Regina stop;
Dion said he believes there is the capacity to mandate a 10-per-cent biofuel content in gasoline by 2010 rather than the five per cent the Conservatives are currently proposing.
“I think the strong reaction has been yes, it is possible to deliver it,” Dion said.
That won favour with Lonny McKague, an farmer from Ogema, Sask., who said he considers himself a Liberal supporter.
Well, credit Tim Cook of CP for at least asking. The farmer from Ogema, Sask. was also interviewed in both the CTV and Global televised reports, but with no mention of his political leanings.
“Liberal supporter”, indeed. Lonny McKague ran as the Liberal candidate in the federal riding of Souris–Moose Mountain in 2006.
JAN 17 UPDATE: CP responds to a reader’s complaint.

You just know from the history of these staged political events that they had the ONLY liberal farmer in the province there…..check the guy further you’ll find he’s a party officer of some sirt. Frik this Lieberal media theater is growing stale.
The honesty of the Libranos never disappoints. Power, always, at any cost, by any means.
I think that you’ll see someone other than Dion answering questions more and more frequently.
There is first the problem that Dion is totally and utterly incomprehensible in English.
And second, that he comes across as arrogant, controlling and vindictive in his answers to questions.
The Liberal Party is trying to reduce Dion’s public ‘ad hoc’ presentations, allow only staged interviews that can be controlled for questions and don’t put Dion ‘on the spot’, and reduce the requirement for him to, rather than simply repeat the Party Line, answer in a spontaneous (and incomprehensible) manner.
And on QP,Owly Oliver just touting Schizuki,as an ICON of the environment..then slags Khan for not coming on QP.EARTH TO CRAIG..world does not revolve around you.
Maybe Dion will ask for Goodale to stand at the podium with him during the debates as well. That’s about the only way he’ll avoid being skewered.
Has there been one public appearance where Dion didn’t say something mangled/non-sensical, radical, or offensive?
That’s exactly the point, mitch – that in every single public appearance, Dion has been, not only incomprehensible, but offensive, insulting, ignorant and arrogant.
The Liberal BackRoom Boys are trying to lessen his presentations by now always having a ‘handler’ around to immediately take over answering questions.
Watch – and you’ll see that from now on, Dion is always accompanied by a ‘handler’ who takes over the discussion.
As for the leader debates – I wonder, I wonder, The Liberals will have to get out of them. I wonder how they’ll manage to get out of them. If they can’t, they’ll reduce them to irrelevance. They have to. Dion is a disaster – not merely because he can’t speak English, But in himself.
He’s vindictive, arrogant, controlling and ignorant; he’s highly manipulative – and that’s just great for winning a leadership contest. But it’s not ‘just great’ for being the leader of a country.
In the coming campaign will the liberal war room keep dion out of sight, like they did Truedeau for an entire election campaign. For such a wimpy looking guy, he does come across as arragant, my way or no way, and sends the message, if you don’t support me or my dream team you are stupid. Body language and facial expressions tell a lot about him. He is a real control freak and scary and his hidden agenda is rape Alberta.
ET, spot on. Honest(?) Ralphie is Cretin’s proxy to deal with Stephanie’s hoof in mouth problem.
Mitch, I predict Dion will be skewered in the next elections debates in both English and French.
What about his continuing to be a citizen of France, I thought under French law a French citizen is not permitted to hold any political position, such as leader of the opposition, in a foreign country.
I want to secure a govt. grant to study the stupidity of lieberal voters. There must be someone that knows where you can get these grants, these morons must be studied and a paper written. Anyone stupid or dull enough to vote for this new liar Dion must be outed and shunned, this university asshole couldnt feed himself in a dumpster behind a Mcdonalds as he cuts a swath through the west with his sycophants in tow bad mouthing oil workers and farmers, f…ing arrogance of these humanoids amazes me.
ET Said” There is first the problem that Dion is totally and utterly incomprehensible in English.”
yes but what he does mange to burble out tells me all I need to know…we got another arrogant, Quebec-centric Fancy commie college boy in the Librano hot seat again….personally I think Dion has the arrogance and ideological belligerence to push this global socialist UN crap on the west and he will be the spark that gets the western separation band wagon going…he learned from his mentor the Cretch and he only knows how ti use federal authority to bully through easten socialist agendas that are abhorant to the west.
Either he will be replaced when the Libs see their western support dwindle to nothing after Dion’s national socialist agenda pissing us off or (if he ever gets any of his UN commie agendas in federal staute), Alberta will hold a bug-out party so fast it will make a Quebecois demigod’s head swim.
Mitch said: “Has there been one public appearance where Dion didn’t say something mangled/non-sensical, radical, or offensive?”
Is this not Deja vu? What other language mangling, gaffe prone Quebec demigod characature set this public image inti the cutesy “”petit gar” media image?
Who was Dion’s mentor and laeadership sponsor? Who’s agenda is he following? Contrary to the Liberal party BS about Dion being the neutral candidate to calm the war between the Martin and Chretien camps….Dion is pure Chretien school and Desmarais-powercor sponsored….we gots us another Powercor commie in the Librano leader’s seat.
Fortunately, like all Liberal candidates, Dion carries around a litre of Jean Chretien’s blood
for emergency spine-stiffening situations.
The trick, as with most “liberal juju”… is not administering an overdose.
Citizen Dion is now the muted/silenced puppet/dummy on Ralph’s knee. It’s an admission that Dion is a liability for the Liberals. Bah, oui.
BTW, Ralph learned his communication skills at Mother Corp.
Fact: Goodale is the de facto leader of the Libs. Prediction: Dion will be gone, sooner than later. Trust-Me Goodale will be the next Lib leader. …-
Ralph’s Credentials include:
Parliamentarian of the Year (2006): Ralph Goodale
(His voice is sonorous enough that as a student he landed summer work in Regina as a CBC Radio announcer.)
Unlike his clan, hers has roots in Saskatchewan Liberalism going back to the storied Jimmy Gardiner machine of the 1920s and ’30s.
http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/27112006/21/parliamentarian-year-ralph-goodale.html
With the staged interview with Mckague: The LIEberals are sure newsMAKERS. They will do whatever they can to retain power.
Funny, when Harper made the bio-fuel announcement many Liberal’s and Liberal bloggers ridiculed it saying bio-fuel was useless in addressing ghg.
Here’s an example:
“Harper’s Biofuel Connection
I have to confess that I’ve always been a little skeptical about the phantom promise of biofuels, especially the most typical model used in North America based on the production of corn and soybeans. It’s frequently overlooked by many that cultivation of these crops requires huge quantities of fossil fuel for farm machinery, pesticides and fertilizer, not to mention that their mass production as practiced in North America is generally regarded as being ecologically unsustainable. Effects include massive topsoil erosion, pollution of surface and groundwater with pesticides, and fertilizer runoff. So why have the Conservatives chosen to focus their efforts, as somewhat limited though they are, on this particular form of alternative energy?”
Of course this same blogger made this post the day before.
“All well and good, but there are a few problems with the Conservative’s proposal… First, it’s woefully inadequate. Speaking in Winnipeg today, Stéphan Dion blasted it saying, “The Prime Minister has failed to seize a golden opportunity to make significant advances in the way that Canadians use fuel. By choosing to only mandate that Canadian fuels contain 5 per cent renewable content, he is not going far enough.” Dion has committed to increasing the ethanol content in Canadian gasoline and diesel fuel to 10 per cent by 2010. This is the highest level of ethanol that can currently be used in cars and trucks that are made in Canada without making substantial changes to the way cars are made.
So am i to assume Dion’s bio-fuel announcement is twice as bad?
Check out the photo of Dion and Dryden in todays g&m. Does Ken ever smile. Is that frown frozen on his face. He had the same look in photos during the trip to alberta. Must be mad he isn’t leader.
Every opposition has had a shadow cabinet, so why all the spin re dion doing the same. We know who will be in it, bisson, volpe, dryden, iggy, maybe goodale, and of course bs, fry, and some other women. Question is will goodale be included, or is he the next one to be asked to leave the caucus or find he wants more time with his family. Maybe he will appoint Rae and Kennedy, after all, Dion was appointed by Chretain without being elected and made a member of the Privy Councel. Then, chretain had to buy his election in the next election. Dion is being led by chretain and the martin chretain fight is still being fought.
If the Liberals have to get Dion out of the next leadership debate, it will be done.
Simple. The, in-the-libs-back-pocket, media will take a “poll” and “report” that the “people” no longer want live TV debates. Instead, a new formate. A taped, staged “speak-to-the-nation” format with “color-commentary” by Boag, Taber and Oliver.
“Independent Farmer Sighting”.
Will it enter the lexicon like Steyn’s “Brutal Afghan Winter”?
Brava Kate!
I can’t wait for a photo op of John Turner patting Stephane Dion’s ass.
My take was that Dion was a defensive move by the Libranos, meant to keep Harper from getting more traction in Quebec and thus a majority, while they went through the ranks looking for a real leader that could possibly win election after next.
maybe ralphie was stopping beaker from talking about all the easy money the people in the oil patch are making. this waste of skin has the nerve to talk about something he knows nothing about(true liberal). my son works at fort mac ….14hour days up there for his “easy money” maybe beaker should put on a pair of carharts and try some real work for a change and then head back to his homeland….FRANCE.
B. Hoax Aware. Exactly.
The Liberals have to remove Dion from active debates. It’s not only that he’s incomprehensible in English. But it’s that his real nature is apparent in open interactive discussion; he’s manipulative, arrogant, ignorant, vindictive and extremely controlling.
So, more and more, we are going to see Dion presented on stage, giving only his preset speech. Questions will be dealt with by an ever-present ‘Handler’ who will step up to the mike and take questions. Dion will only appear in direct conversations in situations where the questions are predetermined, in preset TV interviews. Never, ever, in off-the-cuff remarks. His real nature is then revealed.
Dion is a disaster for the Liberals. Dion managed to manipulate his way to the leadership within a delegation of pro-Liberals, but, it’s far more difficult to ‘sell’ himself in a situation less amenable to manipulation – ie – an election campaign.
So, the Liberal BackRoom boys have to deal with this disastrous new leader. They have to remove him from direct interviews, set up all public interactions within a tightly stage-managed format, always have a Handler there to take over the mike.
And prevent the debates. Or smear them to irrelevance.
The Liberal war plan, in my view, is to focus on the Cloud Dwelling ideology of Quebec – which wants its socialist lifestyle maintained. Dion will claim that he and only he, can leach out Alberta’s wealth to give to Quebec. Dion wants seats, a LOT of seats, in Quebec.
And, the other agenda is to set himself up as Chief Pontiff and Imam of the new religion, the Kyoto Religion. The agenda here is to get obeisance not only from the many supplicants in Quebec, but also from seat-rich Ontario latte land. Dion wants seats in Ontario and he has to fight Layton to define himself as the Chief Pontiff of the Kyoto Religion.
With seats from the Bloc in Quebec, and Liberal/NDP seats in Ontario- Dion hopes for a minority gov’t. The fact that he intends to split Canada into West and East is irrelevant; he has only one agenda. As he (and Chretien) said – the only agenda is Winning.
Not the good of Canada or Canadians. Winning Power. That’s all.
Watch how Dion and the Liberals work.
Was wondering today,if this “win the west”tour of Dion’s had been going swimmingly…why isn’t Cheerleader Cherniak all over it?? Not one word! and if he does post on it..I’m just waiting for all you “easy money”crowd to be all over it.That is,IF he allows post to appear.
ET, to bad that you didn’t have a column in a paper.
You really have a way of putting it in black and white! I think I will copy and save this comment. ET’s bang on prediction!
Canadians will insist on understanding the product they are being sold by Ottawa.
We are living in an interactive age .. .witness SDA.
Witness the Apple Stores which are minimalist but interactive
I was in an Apple outlet in Toronto yesterday. It was jammed full with people of all ages and all colours. The presentation of product is incredibly minimalist, less is more. They have very little inventory on display, but it’s interactive. The sales force is very very good. I understand that Apple picks 1 out of every 200 qualified applicants to work in their stores.
Conservatives have to be like the Mac. Less is more. Stay focused but adapt to change.
We have to continue to keep our message simple. But we have to listen …as we have been for example on the environment. We have to tackle the problems of the nation in an interactive way that respects the voter like a customer. That’s what Apple does. It adapts terrific technology in a simple way.
Dinosaur Dion cannot be interactive. He can’t even speak English. For 13 years, Liberals have kicked all the problems of Health Care, Equalization, and fiscal imbalance forward to the next guy and treated everything with emotion not fact. Liberals are the opposite of an Apple store. They are all about emotional sales and no interaction with the customer.
Liberals tried to prevent change and became the frog in the boiling water that didn’t jump out while it could.
We can beat Dion the Dino .. we must keep it simple and adapt to change.
“That is,IF he allows post to appear”
Too true.Cherniak likes to make blatant allegations/smears and yet when you prove him wrong with links or quotes from the news media he won’t allow the post.
Latest case in point:In regards to Khan’s defection he is now trying to say Dion never issued an ultimatum.I tried to post Dion’s official press release where Dion states he issued the ultimatum.
And the worst one for Cherniak is his ongoing whine that Harper mislead the media about talking with Dion on the nation motion.Several times i tried to post the interview on a New Brunswick radio station where Dion said three times Harper called him on the phone. And then when Dion changed his story to being called by the pmo.
Do you think they just go to the Nodice site to find their “independent farmers”?
Fool me once – shame on you, fool me twice – shame on me.
Bartinsky-Please let us know when you get your grant, I want to be on your committee. Perhaps the place to look is under the Arts grants. You want to paint/write,publish a new art form mural, the subject which will be-Our liberal PMs thruout history and their effect on the mindset of cdns.
If one can get a grant to produce a MEAT DRESS, POSE NAKED IN PUBLIC, your request should pass with flying colors. Just remember, the new color for libs is green as red means danger or stop.
As for the debates, watch for dion to make a big splash that if May is not included, he will decline to participate, or he will come down with a severe case of laryingitis minutes before air time and Chretain will take his place.
This is a good post/thread.
Damning for Dion.
I cannot help but get the idea that perhaps Ralphie Goodies spoke for the leader because Dion is not only inept with one of the two official languages; perhaps he’s not as smart as we’ve been led to believe (perhaps he’s an idiot savant whose only area of competency is exposing the stupidity of the PQ and Bloc, not that that’s all that hard to do).
Perhaps Stephane is also too slow to formulate a decent answer to a question?
Hats off to Ralphie Goodies for his fine babysitting job of the Napsack-Toting Rain Man! I bet Stephane has a teddy bear or something in his napsack…
Like the speech-impaired Warren Kinsella has a purple dinosaur in his gym bag, which he carries with himself into TV studios for some reason…
It is clear that Stephane Dion’s has done such a poor job with the media that he now has others speaking on his behalf. He has single handedly wasted the honeymoon given to him and his Liberal party on a platter by the MSM by and his constant gaffes and his failure to sell his party’s platform.
Last week on QP, even Craig Oliver, who is by no means friendly to the Conservatives criticized Stephane Dion, saying that telling us that he will be the greenest Prime Minister is not good enough without telling us his party’s plan on the environment.
from Steffs news conferance.
fur sustanabull devulopmennt mr gooddale willbe make de annouwncement in advanced to our liberal farmars. the canadien whit boart will be de sole buyour fur dis bio fuel . if it tacks won and won half liteers of fuel to produce whit or rye or baarley for won liteer of fuels we can eggspect the subbsidies from de alberta oyal sands to pay fur dat.
yes there is a ad campaigned for dis wish will be ruin by de GroupAction unner mr martin .
The reason one is uneasy in Dion’s lepredious presence ? Is that a person becomes exposed to the long forgotten feeling one got as a child in the dark. With the night horror’s waiting, to pounce upon you from every shade or din.
He has nothing but distain for “commoners” as he see’s them. Nothing but an endless thirst for power. Backed by corrupt collectivistic elites. Like Creitien as godfather, with Maurice Strong & power corp playing the Spider King. Canadians are only the tools for there convience. Beware there perverse tongues ,always causing divisiveness!
Canada as there fief. Milk cow, with a retreat if beset by exposure to there dark dealings by those with the power to gage them.
This is why our Justice system is a joke. Our prisons comfort zones for evil doers.
Dion is a carrier of this viral infection known as socialism. Like any disease it has its carriers, immunes, survivors & the dead. So many dead from this mental malignancy.
Yet this contagion has infected the Eastern Canada to a point where the true believers are delusional. Dion only facilitates there frenzy, with the promise of Utopia.
Threw surrender of our honor or word to allies. Fairy tales of the world dying, & other such illogicality treated as fact. Promises of imaginary wealth . Not worked for. Gain without sacrifice. All the pathologies of selfish children ,offered us with our own angst stained money, bought with the loss of adult liberties becoming forfeit. These personnel freedoms are not considered real by Dion ,& those who follow their attitude.
Make wrong right. Black is now green. Lower educational standards. No social mobility. Rights are a fancy to sooth the masses, only the collective archetype matters.
I feel for the sane Easterners left in the wake of this plague. The mad tumblers of misinformation cavorting about, twittering there nonsense every moment. To stem off any impression of reality.
It would drive the sane to despondency!!
Meanwhile he will kill this Nation, leaving a husk like Zimbabwe with no culture , no economy left. No law, tribal, split into factions all hating each other. Till the system degenerates like France is today. This is Citizen of France. Dions & company’s designs.
A European socialist dying state. Backed by the EU anti-American interests. Plus the ever reliable bent Liberal party.
Make no mistake, for supremacy, these guys will do or say anything!
Alberta will leave. Where realists, not separatists. Looking to have this moon beam as a PM means where saying adios, if it ever occurs. This whitened gravestone, is a nation buster.
As for keeping Dion out of sight during the campaign – if Trudeau Junior runs, you can be sure that cardboard cutout will be the face of the campaign, keeping the droning pedant Dion well off to the side. I watched Dion with the Liberals’ court jester, Rick Mercer, the other night. Dion was unintelligible.
Reverent Dream . . . umm, maybe you should cut back on the coffee, you sound like a liberal from last year. “If Stephen Harper wins he’ll ban abortions and we’ll go to war in Iraq! People will be rounded up and put in concentration camps!”
Sheesh. Take a deep breath. Even if Dion does win (unlikely) he isn’t going to ruin the country. Alberta and Saskatchewan maybe, but not the country.
Cheers,
lance
With all the fear re global warming/freezing etc, what guarantee does dion give western farmers that we will not have a severe drought and limited production of crops for this new fuel. Does he plan to buy if from Iraq, the hated USA, or Australia. Has this possible cost been factored into his plan. Just heard Craig issue an angry blast at Khan. Good for Khan, to stay away from that show. Craig wants the report he wrote, I want dion to publish his 65 page report on his environmental plan. Taxpayers also paid for that, but no mention of that secrecy from Craig.
Remember, stay away from travel to Toronto, cdns get killed there, by guns.
cal2, “..if it tacks won and won half liteers of fuel to produce whit or rye or baarley for won liteer of fuels ..” Dion.
Maybe not quite one and arf. However, 1976 U of M (for what it is worth) reseach showed way back then that it is not economical. More like comical.
But how long will Pinnochio Dion be able to sit on Giuseppe Goodale’s knee?
On Question Period I saw Suzuki’s bit as well. The master of all things scientific is comfortably and arrogantly sitting as the high priest of climate change, elected by the Canadian media. It’s apparent that every politician, regardless of party must now worship at his knee. Baird has now paid homage and bowed low enough to be noticed by the exalted one.
But what is Pinnochio Dion and Suicide Suzuki not saying?
How about the most significant so-called greenhouse gas is not carbon dioxide – it’s water vapour. And how about the fact that 70% of the earth is covered by water. Comparatively, somewhere less than 15% of the world is covered by matter and the means that is emanating carbon dioxide. Hmmm.
And of the 15%, let’s see, are we to believe that coal plants and SUV’s are effecting climate change more than ocean currents, carbon flux in the oceans, irregular solar flux, a wobbly earth orbit, an accelerating shift of magnetic north and periodic episodes of widespread volcanic activity? (The volcano Krakotoa emplaced the industrial equivalent of decades worth of ash and other pollutants into the atmosphere in less than two days).
In the Geological Association of Canada journal last year, a paper was presented demonstrating that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide appear to follow increases in temperature, not precede them. Ooops!
That’s rock hard science versus Suzuki’s soft salad pseudo-science.
Or, I wonder if the liar and the suicidalist understand the fact that because we’ve had a mild winter in much of the country, the burning of fossil fuels for heating has gone way down and so has the consequent emissions of carbon dioxide?
In leiu of mounting evidence and rational understanding, Kyoto is nothing more than a pernicious plan to redistribute wealth.
Pinnochio needs his nose cut off and Suzuki should commit Hari Kari.
Hmmm…CTV and Global TV describe Lonny McKague, a Liberal Party member and former Liberal MP candidate, in a Dion puff piece as “a farmer from Ogema, Sask.” Makes McKague sound downright “Little-House-On-The Prarie”ish, eh?!
This is a very telling example of either total incompetence or extreme bias on the part of those two networks. While it MIGHT be a reflection of incompetence, I’m more of the opinion it’s knowingly a lie-by-omission, a despicable example of propagandizing on the networks’ part.
Lance:
Sheesh. Take a deep breath. Even if Dion does win (unlikely) he isn’t going to ruin the country. Alberta and Saskatchewan maybe, but not the country.
Cheers,
lance
Your last sentance say’s it all. I need say nothing else.
Happy Trails.
Lappier (sp) just announced that in his riding he is leaving a membership of 1000 and 50,000 in the bank. I thought that riding was a bell weather one, but if it only has 1000 members, that is less than many conservative ridings in the west. He also stated he thinks dion will not allow Justin Trudeau to run, he is saving that riding and Martins for his star appointments. Don’t the voters of Quebec have a say in who runs in what ridings. He said the riding association will follow dions ORDERS. And they call Harper a control freak. Does dion have 308 people he plans to appoint as candidates, will the liberals of Que and Ont rebel at this dictator. I thought we had democracy in Canada. And what happens to dion if all or most of his choices are defeated. He should quit looking into the mirror and asking, Who is the smartest of them all, and getting the answer, You are my master, and believing it. And remember, the kyoto accord runs out in 2012, and will probably not be renewed. Perhaps Duceppe and Harper can make hay out of dions dictatorship antics, by telling voters, with us, you have a choice. Wasn’t it quebec voters that got angry over Fortiers appointment to the senate and made a cabinet minister. Hyprocricy is the liberals middle name. Boy, did giggles get mad at Peter, constantly interrupting him re Khans report. Why let her see it to tear it apart and call it lies. She actually asked Peter if said report actually exists. Ask dion if his 65 page report exists and who paid for it. My wish is for dion to come out of the next election with a worse record than Kim.
Bet Sheila Copps is laughing at them all, and thankful she is out of there.
Even if Dion does win (unlikely) he isn’t going to ruin the country. Alberta and Saskatchewan maybe, but not the country. -Lance
Close, Lance, but not entirely correct.
If Dion wins, he ruins Alberta (and probably the whole Western region). Once that happens, the whole country is screwed! Remember, Alberta does the heavy lifting for the federation, followed by B.C. If the West becomes “have-not” due to NEP II and some stupid commie agricultural policies of the Liebrano$$$, then the other provinces get no equalization, as they’ll be equal anyway… equally screwed and in deficit!
The Liberals want to do to the West what they’ve already done to the once-strong-and-prosperous Atlantic region.
And that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Re-electing the Liebrano$$$ would give new life and vigor to the separatist movements of the West and Quebec. And I, for one, wouldn’t blame those movements. Who in their right mind wants to be part of a federation that’s ruled most of the time by a criminal organization?!
Remember these words: the Liberal Party of Canada will destroy Canada if it gets re-elected time and time again.
For heavens sake don’t dis Dions english.
Remeber what happened when a campaign ad made fun of Chretiens slur and slanted face the bleeding heart of this country flocked to him in droves.
Not saying that being bleeding hearts is a bad thing just that; That is who we are and if you use those tactics you will lose and rightly so.
I speak french albeit very badly but when offered the chance at least I try and Dion should be afforded the same leaniency or you face the spectre of alienating the french population not only in Quebec but all through out canada from Newfoundland Labrador to British Colombia.
Mr. McKague was Ralph’s best man at his wedding. An independent farmer, should of asked him also about the CWB or does he hope to sell his wheat to the ethanol, bio-fuel industry?
“That is who we are and if you use those tactics you will lose and rightly so.”
Wrong. Screwface had a disability and the PC’s gaffed on using it. Make no mistake, screwface used it to his utmost advantage.
Dion has no disability other that he didn’t take the time to learn proper english, says alot about him.
Bleeding hearts my ass. Where was all the indignation when the media slammed Harper on everything from shaking his son’s hand to his paunch?
Bleeding hearts? More like lazy brains waiting for CBC to give them their opinion for the day.
Do they mean if the liberals had a uncontestable majority for 26 years in a row (instead of only 13), that they might actually keep some of their promises?
NL Expatriate. The ratio of French people West of Ontario is minimal.
And as has been pointed out, Chretien’s speech in both English AND French was mangled – and he certainly made the most of it. It enabled him to slither out of answering any question. He played the victim to the hilt – ‘da liddle guy from Shawinigan’. Heh; he’s an oil billionaire.
The fact that you speak mangled French is irrelevant. You aren’t setting yourself up to be the Prime Minister of a country where 80% of the population speak English. If Harper could learn to speak excellent French, then, Dion could learn to speak passable English. He has chosen not to. It isn’t that his speech is mangled; it is incomprehensible.
And when you do understand what he’s saying, you can only be shocked at his ignorance, his arrogance, his contempt for people.
Alienating the French population – in Quebec? My dear boy – that French population is, in the vast majority, not interested in The ROC except as a trough to sustain their socialist lifestyle.
hang out your willy for biofuel
http://www.businessandmedia.org/news/2006/news20060105b.asp
biofuels make no sense. in Dions word “dis woold be nonsence”
http://www.environmental-expert.com/resulteacharticle4.asp?cid=21293&codi=6668&idproducttype=6&level=7
google biofuel inefficient and you get more hits than Stronach bimbo. both are true.stronach bitch gets more hits so my MSM logic , votes for things make them true.
Has anyone seen anything in MSM about Dion’s fiasco in Alberta re: “easy money”? The lib media is doing him a big favour again by not showing this. But they are quite ready to have Goodale’s best man(you know that for sure john?)speak for the farmer’s.
I agree with the comment about Dion’s accent, and inability to speak good English. The fact that he says strange things is more of an issue than how he speaks.Belittling his accent contributes to a divide as much as his lame statement about easy money and the milk cow.
I just saw David Zuzuki and Craig Oliver on QP for CTV, Dave’s last line was very informative, he said that a great deal of the momentum of the Kayota hoax depends on how long the media can keep up the force feeding program. This begs the question: ‘Who is picking up the tab?’
It also blatantly illuminates the (false) claim to anti biased reporting that the CTV claims as one of their precedents. Craig was all smiles for Dave.
