The very “liberal” United Nations has just said Canada’s Pot is as potent as Cocaine, Heroin. So why did Chretien and Martin want to make it easier to drug up Canadians, especially kids ? To create more problems for gov’ts to solve ? Have to create more Swivel Servant positions ? Just why do the Liberals want chaos ?

The German government is about to trigger a new crisis in Europe’s flagship climate change policy, the European Emissions Trading Scheme. BBC News understands the German cabinet is likely to agree a deal under the ETS that will result in a carbon reduction from its industry of only 0.6% by 2012. Kyoto targets require Germany to cut greenhouse emissions in total by 21%. The decision will influence other EU countries, including the UK, which still have to settle their own caps. Environmentalists and climate analysts fear a meltdown of EU climate leadership. Regina Gunther from WWF Deutschland said: “These figures… freerepublic

Canadian pot can be very potent but it is not addictive at all. Unlike heroin and cocaine which will suck you in and spit you out a shell of what you used to be.

The Mullahs or Imams speak to you directly [translated], so you can understand the direct intensity and the very real threat we all face.
I feel those who fail to go to the little bit of trouble,[use IE browser], to view some of these clips, will miss the immediate urgency and intensity of the threat we all face.
These clips, coming directly from the mouths of our enemy are required viewing for all of us and are powerful and real enough to convert and awaken even die-hard liberals.
I only wish they could be viewed with my Opera browser. Had to use M$ Internet Explorer. TG+

My friend Neil has a beautiful park like property and house that will be for sale soon. He is presently refurbishing the house but the property is one of only three along Fitzgerald avenue with big trees and it*s the prettiest. 2 cedar, 3-4 Douglas fir and 2 nice big willows.

Courtenay may be the most preferred place to live on Vancouver Island. I want to mention this in order to save the trees. Fitzgerald avenue is one of the two main routes across town. Legal and dentist offices are one block away. I hope someone keeps it residential. I fear commercial interests would remove the trees. TG
Hey TG, sounds like a reason for a blockade and standoff. /tongue in cheek humour
Seroiusly, that seems to happen all too often. I’ve seen professionals set up in a residence which is kind of quaint but after a while the whole block is offices and by golly it is more economic sense to just build an office building seeing as how we have the land (rezoned) already.
Gomery: Witnesses lied to me…… (no kidding- selective memory lapses)
“Justice John Gomery says witnesses who forgot key information while testifying during hearings on the sponsorship scandal had “deliberate memory blanks” that are tantamount to lying under oath.
In an exclusive interview with CPAC that airs tonight, Judge Gomery says everyone has memory lapses, especially about unimportant events, but it is another matter when the “forgotten” event is one that has “marked” the person.
“If it is a determining factor in someone’s career … and the witness has absolutely no recollections of this event, we can say ‘it is not a memory blank, it is a deliberate memory blank.’ It isn’t a memory blank. It is a lie to say I do not remember,” Judge Gomery says.”
The interview will be on CPAC.CA tonight at 7:00pm ET. via neale news

Everyone is addicted to many things. Oxygen, for example. But it’s a matter of degree. Someone who fills their house with oxygen is likely to find, upon the next spark, a conflagration.
One can consume too much coffee, too much Scotch, too much Marijahoochie. Too much of anything, even web logging. As my grandma used to say, everthing in moderation.
So, logically, it seems to me that if a rational enjoyer of a moderate amount of X finds that it is Y times more powerful, they would simply decrease their consumption of X by a factor of one over Y.
Of course, I can’t speak for irrational people; I don’t know what that’s like. But don’t forget the words of the band “Sweet”, which produced the famous 1978 lyrics:
Love is like oxygen
You get too much you get too high
Not enough and you’re gonna die
Love gets you high
SWEET!

Kate mentioned flaky internet in Missoula.
How abouut in Ontario?
I subscribe to Bell Sympatico as service provider and have for five or six years now.
I pay for high speed internet as well as the usual Bell charges for their telephone lines.
Until about two weeks ago the internet web site uploads was fast and had not varied during the intervening years of usage,
However for the past two weeks the system has slowed down perceptibly to the point of dial-up speed ten years ago on a 28000kbs modem.
Now that is slow.
I contacted Sympatico who passed me off to a Bell techy. Two hours on the phone produced the results. Nothing wrong with the lines into my home.
The tecky suggested my computer is causing the slowdown. Spy ware, ad ware infection working in the background slowing things down, he said.
So I then downloaded anti-spyware application to test if my computer had anything of that nature causing the slowdown.
The computer is clean.
Besides the MAC computers are not susceptible to PC viruses anyway, although adware is a possibility..
The tonight on the six O’clock Global news they mentioned that Bell Sympatico has just now initiated monitoring their customers on line for whatever reason.
Great!
Having learned that is now taking plac,e has me wondering if my system will regain the high speed I am paying for or whether it will now function at this new low speed for loading web sites.
Only time will tell, but I am not a happy customer at this point if in fact I am receiving slower service for the same high rate.
I feel rip off in my bones.
I would like to see some responses from other Bell Sympatico users if they are experiencing this same reduction in service that I am currently and have been for the past two weeks.
Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that Larry Zolf’s article is on Stephen Harper. The whole piece is an ad hominem attack with absolutely no facts to substantiate his claims. If our taxes weren’t paying for this drivel, it would actually be a tiny bit amusing.
OK, just for some light-hearted thought:
I’m sure there are many here who detest and loathe the electoral gag law as much as I do. So let’s start our own political party. We could call it, oh, I don’t know, the “Libranos”. Our platform would be to enrich ourselves and our friends through generous salaries and expense accounts, untendered contracts with mandatory kickbacks, and an obscenely rich pension plan.
We could boast that our policy is, if caught, we won’t repay any illegally gotten funds. We would offer immediate and total amnesty to any party members convicted of misappropriation.
Of course, we would have strict fund-raising ethics. You would only be allowed to raise $1 per individual. I suggest we define individual as “any living entity capable of becoming an adult”. Since most men have about 250 million sperm in their bodies at any one time, and most women have about 10,000 ova, they can make contributions in the name of those individuals. We’ll make Joe Volpe look like the piker he is.
The fun part would come when we show up at all-candidates meetings. When we lay out our platform and get the expected jeers from the public, we could just point at certain other candidates, and say “Well, that’s what THEY did.”
We get to make our point, do it legally, and have some fun! Who’s with me?
What’s all this about Canadian pots? I go shopping all the time, and I see pots from Italy, pots from France, cheap pots from China and Korea, but never Canadian pots. And how can you get addicted to pots? They’re useful for making spaghetti and boiling socks, but addiction?
What’s that? Oh, Canadian *POT*.
Well, that’s something else entirely.
Never mind.

Former UN chief named in Oil-for-Food scandal (Boutros Boutros Ghali)

Saddam Hussein’s regime paid millions of dollars to a South Korean businessman to create a “secret backchannel” to top UN officials, including Boutros Boutros Ghali, then the UN Secretary-General, US prosecutors alleged today. The claim, formally naming Dr Boutros Ghali for the first time, was made at the start of the first US trial over the UN’s Oil-for-Food scandal. Prosecutors said that Tongsun Park received $2.5 million (£1.4 million) in cash plus promises of lucrative business deals in return for providing access to Dr Boutros Ghali and at least one other top UN official. “Tongsun Park has access at the…

Operation Summer Rain:
UPDATE 06/27 @ 21:25: Unfortunately, we’re human and must sleep so that we can cover this story for you with our full effort. Don’t give up on us tonight though… we’ll continue to update if there is a dramatic breakthrough. As the Israelis continue to push into Gaza to rescue 19-year-old Cpl. Gilad Shalit and deal a blow to the terrorists, we must remember several important points. First, Israel is acting in self defense after months of rocket attacks terrorizing its population. Second, terrorists control the Palestinian Authority, and have brazenly endorsed the kidnapping. Third, while Mahmoud Abbas may be the elected President, his inability to bring about the release of the solider, or an end to the rocket attacks, has forced Israel to finally act on its own. We don’t know of any other country that would do otherwise. Stay with us as our coverage of Operation Summer Rain continues at 08:30 Eastern time. …-

Any chance, Kelly, you could let us in on what’s aMAZing, to save some of us who are in a hurry?
Thanks!
I know that Joe Clark wasn’t exactly a Conservative: Red Tory, for sure and no one I’d ever vote for. (Apropos of nothing: I was in a room with him once and was surprised by how tall he was; at least six feet or taller. On the other hand, I saw PET a couple of times in person and was amazed by how short he was. The MSM must have always shot him from a certain angle to make him appear to be taller. He was tiny.)
In answer to someone’s question a few days ago about Joe Who’s marital status: He is married to Maureen McTeer, a feminist activist lawyer and they have a daughter Catherine Jane, who is in her late twenties, I believe, and who recently married.
‘Big foo-farrah when Clark and McTeer married because she chose to keep her maiden name and not go by Maureen Clark. You’d have to Google McTeer to see what she’s been up to; ‘chances are no good.
She was very vocal about women’s rights, tying them to economic power: In other words, at the time I had chosen to be at home with my stay-at-home kids, she was saying that the only way women could have equality with men was if they had economic power–which meant, of course, that women had to be pursuing careers.
Thanks, Maureen, and you have a nice day, too.
