You have good taste Kate. I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve watched the show all the way through. He is a very charismatic individual, has a great time and it shows. I never thought he stood a chance. Taylor and his success reminds me a bit of Rupert off one of the Survivor series. I think it proves we like to root for the underdog.

I, too, thought Taylor Hicks was good. But, I also thought he would never make it through.
What surprising good grace Simon showed in the face of being obviously wrong early on about Taylor.
I never watch the show either, but when I heard that Taylor had made it through this far was compelled to put up with that two hours of hype to see that he actually was the people’s choice as well as the judges.
What an exceptional treat.
Taylor caught my attention early on as well, and quickly became my fave. Congrats to him!

I picked Fantasia and Clay to win during their auditions, and pegged Bo for the top two very early on. I was rooting for Taylor but thought Chris would win for sure after his performances of I Walk The Line and that Fuel song (which, if you haven’t seen, you should try to track down. Wow).
Anyway, I’m very happy for him and actually enjoyed last night’s finale, which is normally the two longest hours in tv. Please tell me Kellie (Calamari) Pickler is getting her own tv show…

Good pick, we have been cheering for Taylor from the beginning. One thing about this show is there is no fighting, swearing, just kids trying to catch a break. This man will go along ways. Enjoyed every one of his performances. Soul Patrol!
You called that one EXACTLY! I would never have dreamed that some guy with white hair would ever win. Good call – I wonder what you would have won from Vegas if you would have put a couple of bucks on your prediction way back when you first called it? I bet you would have won a nice little sum because the initial odds of him winning must have been a long shot!
