  1. Iggy Power Broker$ His Gag: $$$$$$ Librano$.
    Iggy power brokers
    April 6th, 2006
People didnt trust me when I said that Iggy is pulling the best talent our party has, but here it is. This is just a small fraction of what he has in his bag. He is going to be the first candidate to raise the maximum permited amount and it will happen before many others reach their first million!

  2. (1) Michael Ignatieff reveals what puts him head and shoulders above the other candidates for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada: Opposable thumbs.
    (2) Michael “I-never-advocated-torture” Ignatieff shows reporters what you string terrorists up by.
    (3) Ignatieff courts T.O. voters by emulating another famous Canadian ex-pat: Mike Myers in Wayne’s World.
    (4) Ignatieff predicts the number of seats the Liberals will capture in the next election under his leadership.
    etc., etc….

  3. This guy reminds me of Mr. Rogers, the guy with the kid’s tv show. Does anybody else see it. Even in a suit jacket he looks like he is wearing a sweater. He talks “nice and slow” so us simple minded boys and girls can follow along. Sort of “welcome to my neighbourhood boys and girls. Now I’m going to give you all nuggets of my vast knowledge. He is like an actor – I guess professional lecturers are in fact actors. They follow a script even to the hand gestures.
So here is mine: Paper, scissors, Rock, Dynamite! HaHa boys and girls, my dynamite blows up your rock. See, I can play simple minded games just like all you little people. Arn’t we having a blast!

  4. He’s looking for the farm vote. This is his milking position. Next step is to try it with a cow.

  5. “I bring something to the table that the other leadership candidates are missing…opposable thumbs!”

  6. My thumbnails….so shiny….almost like mirrors……heavens, I can see myself……Mmmmmm, oohhhhh, soooooo beautiful……how could they not love me?

  7. Michael “Egghead” Ignatieff, Canada’s smartest Liberal, excitedly plays with his thumb puppets at a recent candidates’ gathering. Conservative critics are asking the question, “Is this a prime minister?”

  8. AAAA & AAAA. I’m twice the Canadian as the rest of you guys.
Or being a greedy librano. Guess which hand the viagra’s in

  9. Now for my impression of Jack Nickelson doing Mike Myers “Wayne” of Wayne’s World.
“Run for the Liberal leadership? Party on! Excellent! You want the truth? I can’t handle the job let alone the truth! Shaaaawiingg!”

  10. (1) “Then there’s the thumbscrews, yeh, that’ll get ’em talking. After that, you can step it up to the panties on the head. If that doesn’t break them, you may have to go to the naked lap dance. All in cause of ethically fighting terrorists, of course.”
    (2) “Ukrainian nationalists’ brain? Oooh, I’d say about yay big.”

  11. Q: Name the nerve that runs from the brain to the “outside world”.
A: Newman says its: Buzz: CAW…
    Newman slathers on the hyperbole/flattery.
Watch Newman, Iggy. Remember Mulroneys fatal dalliance with Newman. The flattery: “Cary-Grant-vintage elegance”; “the set jaw” ; his face is unlined: the literary reference to Balzac, & etc. Enough is too much. +
    PETER C. NEWMAN
“Cool” best describes Michael Ignatieff, the Liberal leadership contender creating all that buzz. …
“The day before that appearance, I dropped into his nondescript riding office in Etobicoke, a lakeside constituency in Toronto’s southwestern burbs. The temperature didn’t change but he was as compelling a presence as I expected. What stood out was his Cary-Grant-vintage elegance and his deep-set eyes that wince with concentration, even when answering the queries of an itinerant journalist. His face is unlined by what Balzac called “private defeats,” but the set jaw signals an inner strength of will unusual for an intellectual. Ignatieff’s dozen books expose but seldom preach. He is one of those rare action-oriented academics who achieve results not by imposing his views, but by encouraging people to find their own way to his beliefs.
As we left his office, I asked Maclean’s Chief Photographer Peter Bregg, who had accompanied me, what he thought of the Cool Contender. “Nice change,” he said. “Good to meet somebody whose heart is attached to his brain.””

  12. “There’s Harper in the sights of my .50 cal!”
(Believe it or not, a .50 cal machine gun has dual verical grip handles and is fired by pressing the trigger with the thumbs.)

  13. “Now that Iam no longer a teaching intellect, if this MP thing fails, I could always rate Movies”

  14. “This thumb represents my left-hand shield – I call it ‘Rae’. The other thumb represents my right-hand shield – I call it ‘Scottie Boy’. When the shooting stops, I will drop these shields and reveal, for all of you little people to see: the next Liberal leader!”

  15. “Here’s the church, here’s the steeple, open the door and here’s the people…..” (Yet to come–there’s the parson climbing up stairs and there he is saying his prayers.)

  16. “Yes, yes, my beauties! Once we are leader, we shall squash them like bugs!! And they said I was MAD!!! Hee (wheeze), hee (wheeze), hee (wheeze)!!!!”

  17. “Newman slathers on the hyperbole/flattery.”
“Flattery can be extremely serious, as when it is aimed at a libertine’s conquest, designed to prepare a man for a swindle as we fatten a pig for the killing, or when it is an occasion for sin. But even at its lightest, its obsequiousness is a disgusting thing. It is a foul, enervating cultivation of human weakness, hurrying on the disintegration of the individuals at whom it is aimed. To a healthy appetite flattery has the taste of too much whipped cream or too much of the poetry of Keats: too sweet, too sensual.
The real opinions of the flatterer are never known. He has cut the links that might have bound him to men and so to the social unit, the links by which we normally communicate with men. Instead he has chosen to use men as tools, humoring them, toying with them, playing on their weaknesses, and all the while laughing at them behind their backs.”
