  1. The unidentified museum-goer is likely a Liberal running away from reporters who want to ask them if they are joining the leadership race.

  2. That is actually painful for me to read. I HATE when stuff breaks, especially irreplacable stuff!

  3. I’ll bet the fellow was left handed. Left handed people tie shoelaces ‘backwards.’ When they walk, their pants legs hit the knots, working them loose.
The poor guy must be mortified.

  4. everything should be broken in New York and Washington and downtown Toronto where loose shoes are the norm.

  5. Just an observation about my favourite subject CBCPravda.
there hasnt been half as many articles about the incoming government as there have about the Libs.
Libs leadership, no rats want the leaky ship.
    Libs regrouping.
    Libs this libs that.
even the report about the Gomery inquiry has a backhanded stab at the accountability proposals of the conservatives. saying even the Libs went to far.
of course accountability has no place in the pravda propaganda. expect an all out complaint blitz when policies are introduced.
havent been over to C Tass V news agency this morning.
does anyone thing that Pravda is directed from above or is the place so riddled with long time liberal snivel servants that they dont even know that they behave that way anymore.

  6. h/t was a bit too concise to be a review of the Bush speech. I was most impressed with His (Bush)determination to plan for the Baby Boomer challenge. I hope SH was watching.

  7. That’s why I wear loafers when I visit the ROM. Damn expensive having to replace/repair all of those Qing and Ming dynasty vases.

  8. The CBC, like everything else the Liberals have their fingerprints on, will need a complete overhaul to rid it of the dire case of liberalitis it has contracted, better still, sell the freakin’ money pit off and cut our losses.

  9. Hey, Cal2, re:

I’ve noticed the same thing and wrote to the CBC yesterday:
“Watching your flagship nightly news show last night (Peter Mansbridge must have been on holiday), you’d never know that Canada has a new government. Why? Because there was NO MENTION of either our Prime Minister-designate Stephen Harper or any of the members of his party whom he is in the process of appointing to the new Cabinet.
“On the other hand, we were treated to a long piece on the Liberals’ McKenna and Manley stepping down from the Liberal leadership race and speculation as to who might be in the running in the coming months.
    ****NEWS ALERT, CBC!!!****
“The Liberals are OLD NEWS and Stephen Harper and the CPC are HAPPENING NEWS. Don’t cheat the Canadian public out of news of their newly elected government. The point is not how you feel about their win. The point is that the Canadian electorate has spoken: We now have a new government and the CBC has a mandate to keep the public informed of what they are doing.”
So, I wonder if anyone at the CBC is listening…probably not…but tossing my angst at the guys who are p……g me off makes ME feel better.

  10. just over at C Tass V , news agency. they are a bit more insidious because they arent direcly linked to the government. but they are the same dwelling on their old pals the libs.
things way to comfy after all these years and always a potential Governor Generals spot in the offing.
suspect they figure this is just a temporary exit until they convince the rest of us great unwashed to swing the other way again.

  11. What the #$%#^$#@%#@Q do the CBC and Liberals got to do with this posting about Ming Vases?
Talk about off topic or what? Bad enough reading about them in other topics, I’d like for one to read a funny post and leave it that way…

  12. Good Letter, new kid on the block,
Like you, I was looking forward to never having to see the frothing, mumbling, stuttering, droning, BORING wattling- worbbling old turkey of a pmpm or one of his minnions in the TV screen every time the news came on – but in my heart, I knew that it would ‘hurt’ the insipid MSM reporters and Left wing goofies too much to even approach, never mind question someone as clear thinking and handsome as Stephen Harper. Mr. Harper and his Conservatives are not ‘androgynous’ enough for the MSM people.
MSM are going to be FORCED to talk to our new Prime Minister if they want a job here; I hope they prefer to quit.
Maybe (HOPEFULLY), the MSM talking heads will all catch a slow boat to China and ‘follow their ‘ledder’. I DO hope that pmpm will bail out, if he doesn’t, doesen’t matter, but the CBC/CTV etc are going to need a BIG bail out if they keep featuring that old bimbo as the voice of Canada!! Stephen Harper won’t bribe them like the Liberanos used to do – they might be ‘looking for work’, very soon. Can’t be too soon for me. We need new media up here and we need it RIGHT AWAY.
