I will grant her one thing – the “school of sharks” analogy is pretty accurate, though her description of a helpless victim (a multi-million dollar respected professional news organization) is a bit … off. And let’s not forget who chummed the water.

Mrs. Mapes is apparently pissed that CBS was forced to uncover the truth. Reminds me of Warren Kinsella’s objections of the Liberal Party of Canada.
Saw part of an interview with Mary Mapes the other day and her spin on journalism (if you can call it that) was truly scary. Her contention was “prove that my allegations are wrong”. Kind of like you are guilty until proven innocent. the big problem is that until recently most of the population took the MSM as gospel. After all, if Walter Cronkite or Lloyd Robertson said something then it must be true. This is how the Lieberals manage to sway voters. Peter Mansbridge says “hidden agenda” and presto, it is a fact in the minds of trusting Canucks. But guess what? It ain’t so today kiddies.
It is more work but today I tend to read the local paper, channel surf Fox and Cnn and then check on a few internet sites (and blogs) before I take some news as gospel.

Mary Mapes is unfortunately typical of the people you find staffing the large media organizations.
In answer to your question Kate (see below) I have done some research and it seems you have it backwards. MWW and her spouse are owed money by her previous employer. Moreover her previous employer seems to owe money to quite a few individuals and companies.
As for MWW herself she is apparently self-employed and living in the United States. Her bsuiness is doing sufficiently well that the frequent postings you referenced seem to have largely disappeared. I hope this information helps.

Now, can you answer for me – have you heard any rumors about a person who calls themselves “MWW” (among other psuedonyms) who posts frequently on the internet being sought
for questioing about funds missing from a previous place of employment?
I have no idea if this is true, just wanted to know if they had answered to the charges.
