Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Drag out as many clandestine letters and phone records as you like. It’s all bullshit. We are suckers and they know it.
Nothing will happen and the Liberals will win the next election.
The only hope we have is that Quebec has another referendum soon so they they can go and maybe so can we in the West. No one else in this imitation country has the balls to do anything that requires action to bring about change ……….. except Quebec. Kudos to them ..
I only wish I could vote for Gilles D to hurry it along. As it is I won’t bother to vote … because … it doesn’t matter.
uh, if M Boulay was born in 1942, in 2001 he’d be 60- not 50, ‘a half century,’ as the letter indicates.
Are you sure this letter is for real?
Sig,
Nothing is real in the great white north. It’s all bullshit always has been … always will be.
Diagnosis: Psychological immobilization.
Canada. Cambodia. >>>>>>>
The void in culture and the paralysis of emotional recovery are intimately connected to the political situation. Cambodians feel hopeless about politics, stymied and threatened by an insatiably greedy kleptocracy. The governments relationship to recovery is ambivalent: Hun Sen and his cronies benefit from the psychological immobilization. The prospect of Cambodians remaking themselves as a people holds few attractions to a political elite that rules by fear and brute force in the absence of significant dissent. >>>

An equal bombshell let out at the same time as Gomery WHY?
The Citizen has a scathing article quoting Jack Granatstein, the former Director of Canada’s War Museum, when he accuses Ottawa of following Quebec’s foreign aid policy that has crippled our relationship with the US and others, and has been detrimental to advancining Canada.
A MUST read that is more explosive than Gommery in my opinion, why let the story out now, which story is supposed to smoke screen which story?
This is the most explosive accusation aganst the Libranos I have seen by one who holds such hig esteem amoung Canadians.
This story has to be expanded on
Lets have an election for the love of God!
Also a scathing story in the Vancouver Sun this day, quoting a Mary Eberts before a Commons Sub Committee how corrupt the Liberals are in appointing judges. The first lawyer to lay out such an attack on the Judiciary, that the Conservatives have been hollering about for years.
God bless the troops, and God bless the troops than may be in the cross hairs of one of their fellow “canadians”, and God bless the children of Canada!
Stephen. Parksville BC ww 2 vet,
Dammit not “foreign aid” but “Foreign” period!
“Quebecs Foreign Policy “!
Stephen:
Stephen,
I agree totally. Nice post.
I also read your website intro and loved it.
I feel the same way about most things. I happen to be a cat lover, but I do have bird feeders in my yard.
I love that you let them be free in your “jungle”.
Duke ..
Nanaimo (also paradisical .. is that a word?).
George, I have wondered the same thing, why has no one ever tried anything? Oh yeah, they took away our guns, protecting themselves not the public! Since they are not much more than organized crime I am sure they have “access” to stuff should the time ever arrive.
Thanks Duke you touched me???Made an old man’s day LOL.

…For months, Mr. Malo saw justice up close and personal. He sat in the public gallery of the sponsorship inquiry about twice a week, in both the Ottawa and Montreal hearings, and “made it my business” to watch the rest of the testimony on television….
…Mr. Malo, 69, who retired as a vice-president of Canada Post in 1995, views following the ins and outs of the inquiry as his duty. (While Judge Gomery was highly critical of former Canada Post head Andr Ouellet, Mr. Malo had left by the time he took over the Crown corporation.)…
…And while he understands why Prime Minister Paul Martin escaped blame, he believes he ought to have known the sponsorship program was racked by misspending and patronage…

Will Peter Adams, Liberal MP, be forced to drink the Kool-Aid/hemlock soon to be offered to him by the Liberal Party? >>>>
Lance Anderson –
The federal Liberal Party isn’t off the hook, says Peterborough MP Peter Adams, even though Prime Minister Paul Martin has been exonerated in the highly-anticipated Gomery Report.
Released Tuesday, the report, authored by Justice John Gomery, names those responsible for the mismanagement of millions of taxpayers’ dollars in what has become widely known as the sponsorship scandal.
It paints the Liberals a nasty colour of red that MP Adams admits will be difficult to clean.
“I take my share of the blame,” said MP Adams late Tuesday afternoon following a turbulent day in the House of Commons.
“I supported the sponsorship program. I thought it was a good idea.”
However, he never anticipated the scandal that would explode from a program apparently aimed at promoting federalism in Quebec.
MP Adams hopes Prime Minster Martin is credited for commissioning the report and making the scandal’s details known to the public, despite how that makes the federal Liberal party appear.
MP Adams admits to being “ashamed” of being a Liberal a couple of times during his political career, adding the party can’t undo what’s been done. >>>>>>

Rat On, Maz!
MP Adams sez that the liberal party can’t ‘undo what has been done.’ (He conveniently fails to mention some of the very same things, that they are doing RIGHT NOW! Am referring to the recently announced 61 million bucks to host the Koyoto Clusterf**k in Montreal next year, or the mega million contract with Bofors, (also in Quebec), for military stuff- nice to see that they are ‘tooling up’ for what we know is coming?
