Not everyone behaved themselves while weathering hurricane Emily.
We were Allegro Guests as well and it was great that we were able to be in the Royal Hideaway Theater. It was so sound that you could hardly hear any wind blowning. The most annoying thing was listening to a CSC reporter from Canada complaining about Allegro guests being allowed to be in the Theater. She was an embarassment to any Canadian. She and her little group of friends were complaining to a Manager at one point that the Royal Guests should have had king beds put in for them. IT was unbelievable and the poor staff did not even know how to respond to such a ridiculous request. The staff were doing the best they could and were so organized and calm. My husband and I commend the staff of both hotels and are so mad at her behavior that we want to write a letter to CBC to complain about her representation of the station. Her name was Krista something. Does anyone know of her? What do you guys think?

Just looking at her picture angers us. Even her article has nothing good to say about the hotels organization or preparation. What she did not write is that the part of the dry wall that came down was over the stage and the staff did not let people on the stage due to it not being fully secure. No one was hurt and people were not screaming. Now we are really going to write a letter about her. Thank you for the information.”
Well, it’s nice to have an eyewitness account. Like Kate, you have a bit of a well-placed burr regarding the truth not getting it’s proper due. Which is not only endearing, and habit forming, but also, as a perk, civilization-building.
Plus, I’m sure Krista is nice. No one who posted here knows her, so no one can say otherwise.

I know her. She’s not nice or genuine. She’s a hot girl on tv in a relatively small town. She considers herself local royalty, and certainly acts like it. She’ll practically drop to her knees for someone “important” yet won’t give the time of day to Joe Blow. Her closet is full of fur. She certainly picked the right career, as she loves being the center of attention. The reports of her behaviour while on vacation do not surprise me in the least. All that being said, she’s not a bad reporter, and her leather outfits certainly do liven up the CBC cast.

Ahh Morrison you do not know her at all. She does not have a closet full of fur and your comment on won’t give the time of day to Joe Blow attests to the fact you do not know her at all. Consider the time a poor woman at a discount store in winnipeg was with great sadness looking at a winter coat and she turned to Krista and said I need this coat but i don’t have the money and I don’t like the fur collar. Krista turned to her and said i will buy you the coat and you can give me the fur collar.
In fact a good portion of the comments that have been posted are outright slanderous could be used in a civil suit or could be constrewed as threats. None of you folks that have posted derogatory comments know her at all. Furthermore it is your behaviour that is the most disgusting and telling of what kind of people you really are.
Krista is a committed journalist, perfectionist and has worked many many long hours on stories for the CBC making an important contributions and breaking stories. Shame on you, none of you could ever achieve one ounce of what she has done in the last five years because you folks idle your time away posting horrible comments about someone you know nothing i repeat nothing about.
I do know Krista. I have known her for about ten years. IN MY OPINION, she is a nice person SOME of the time. So she offered to buy some lady a coat. Unlikely, but if true, CONGRATULATIONS. I’m sure that completely erases all of the other things she’s done that have served to earn her the reputation she carries around today.
IN MY OPINION, it seems Krista is not well liked. One can claim that it’s just jealousy because she anchors the news (some say she got the job without paying her dues) or because of her looks. Well, IN MY OPINION, it’s mostly because of her personality, the things that she says and the way that she treats people.
There are things that she has done that people talk about because they were there, and they saw with their own eyes. There are things that she has been in trouble for @ the CBC. These things tend to happen when someone is so quickly shot into the limelight, without the benefit of years of experience at being a public figure.
The other Crista is so quick to point out how she and her husband, being from ahem….CALIFORNIA! “do not even care” about the CBC or anything else for that matter, but continues to post long-winded defences of Krista. Wonder why that is?
Regardless, IN MY OPINION, this event sounds like trademark Krista. I hope she grows up fast.

You are full of it. You have not personally know Krista for ten years. I can attest to that. Your knowledge of her is purely superficial, case closed. So don’t make statements that are in fact inaccurate. There are not things that Krista has been in trouble for at the CBC. And what people see is subject to their own interpretation and biased view of the world. In other words opinions. The world is full of people who don’t like other people. That is life. There are many people who don’t like you westerner. Westerner you don’t have to like her and she doesn’t have to like you. There were many people who didn’t like Diana Swain. Furthermore, all of you had better be very careful about what you say about her publicly. Broadcasting is full of type A personalities, you don’t cut it if you aren’t. It is a business driven by deadlines and intense pressure. It isn’t a caregiver business. So westerner I suggest to you it would be in your best interest to keep your opinions to yourself. Investigations are based on fact.

Thanks for showing support for Krista too. Some of these Krista bashing people sound pretty insecure to me. I just wanted to let everyone know that I did go to the travel page and called those people on their lies. I guess I should have thought about that before. Can we stop the Krista bashing now everyone. The story is not true, I was there. Enough is enough.

The reason why I am defending Krista is because she is my friend. We all became good friends while waiting for and enduring the hurricane together. We were all stuck together and terrified. I stay at home with my kids so have time to post on here. I just want the truth to be known that is all. I am not Canadian and have never even seen the Cbc. I honestly had never even heard of the Cbc. Wouldn’t you protect a friend for slander? Then again maybe you don’t know what it’s like to have a friend.
