  1. This is huge, no wait.. this is Astronimical, in the cretingate sense.
My prediction: after Corbeils mind exploding testimony, and after slackjaw flees to sicily, poll marxtin takes up scubadiving.

  2. “And the Liberals fast-tracked 15,000 immigrants to Quebec through citizenship court so they could help increase the federalist vote in the referendum.” Who would’ve thunk it? The Libranos, using immigrants to push a political agenda? Naah, we must be dreaming it.

  3. Watch the main stream media go into HUGE spin mode after his testimony.
Hmmm… come to think of it, no wonder they gave so much attention to the whining and complaining of the Toronto and Vancouver mayors. Harper is evil! Harper eats babies! Harper makes the devil look like Sheila Fraser!

  4. Great work and very compelling – too bad in the republic of Banada that this information will be suppressed by the Liberal Gestapo …aka CBC, CTV, Global/CanWest, all dailies and most conglomerate owned weeklies.
Maybe you should feed this to the US media – they are the ones who cracked the corruption in Mexico because the Mixican media was gagged.

  5. It won’t matter how the media report (or fail to report) – at least in and around the GTA. It seems that folks in these parts respond much like a battered spouse – they will believe any lie while they repeatedly return to their abuser. No one uses fear better than spouse abusers and Liberals.

  6. The current Sponsorship scandal is all very interesting and, as both a large and small c conservative and a libertarian, I am enjoying it immensely.
On the other hand while the scandal seems to definitively to be much larger in scale (especially when the Human Resources boondoggle is added in) than anything engaged in be the Mulroney government, it probably is not much different in kind from some of the activities of persons in and associated with that former government. As a result, my moral outrage about the scandal is somewhat subdued. Nevertheless, since this type of theft from citizens by the politicians in power seems to become epidemic starting around those politicians second term, a properly advised citizenry should throw the thieves out at a minimum frequency of every eight years. On that time frame, the Liberals are long overdue to become the Opposition.
As far as I can tell almost every politician and their supporters engage in similar activities to a lesser or greater extent (in fact a politician who was to upright to do so might will be too dangerous to elect.). For our own protection as citizens and taxpayers we just have to throw them out at regular intervals.
As you can see, the chicanery of the current and recent crop of Liberals is not what deeply disturbs me. But what has actually frightened me is the Liberal propensity to use the RCMP to assist them in achieving purely political results. As far as I can recall, the Conservatives whatever their other failings when in office never did this.
If you want examples, consider the following that I recall off the top of my head:
    1. The letter to the Switzerland written by an RCMP officer in the Airbus affair. That letter was sufficiently lacking in truth that the Liberals caused the government to pay $5M to Mulroney to avoid litigating his libel claim.
    2. The use of the RCMP to raid M. Francois Beaudoin’s home and his wife’s golf course during his lawsuit against the Federal Business Development Bank, in which claimed to have been wrongfully dismissed by that Bank. His dismissal followed his attempt to have the Bank call the loan it had made to the Auberge Grande-Mere which was owned by the same person who had purchased the adjoining golf course owned by Chretien. You can read the court judgement that details these events at: http://www.johncummins.ca/docs/Beaudoin%20jmt%20complete%20English%20translation.pdf
    3. The use of the RCMP to stifle, without any security justification, purely political protests at the G8 meeting in Vancouver in 1997.
    4. The activities of the RCMP in the Maher Arar case generally and, in particular, in respect of the raid of the home of a reporter (Juliet O’Neill).
    5. The RCMP was one of the conduits for the dispersal of Sponsorship graft money.
Now these are only what I can remember off the top of my head and, even if these are all the events that have publicly surfaced, I, as a prudent person, always multiply what I know of government wrongdoing by a factor of ten to cover all of the information of its wrongdoing that the government has been successfull in withholding from me.
On that scale, the use of the RCMP by Liberals for purpose other than law enforcement is truly frightening and is the most important reason in my mind for throwing these clowns out and keeping them out for many, many years.

What is the natural tendency of the State for the deployment of State Police?
The model is Soviet Russia & Stalin:
” Of the 1,966 delegates that attended the Communist Party Congress in 1934, 1,108were arrested over the next 5 years.
Only 70 people were tried in public.
The rest were tried in secret before being executed.
Official figures suggest that between January 1935 and June 1941, 19.8 million people were arrested by the NKVD- secret police.
An estimated seven million, 7,000,000, of these prisoners were executed.

    Down with National Socialism.
    Long live freedom and democracy.

  8. Looking at all the polls this week, it appears the sponsorship scandal has had little effect on the Liberal Party. Where is the outrage in Alberta? Saskatchewan? I see little in the newspapers. Is Canada forever a Liberal Party state? If this doesn’t get voters interested in turning out the rascals, nothing will. I fear you’re doomed.
    A Sympathetic Yank

  9. Laddy,

The question would be, did they talk to anyone in Alberta, Saskatchewan? The outrage is there, they just don’t want anyone to know about it. Here’s another poll that “may” be closer:

    http://www.the-comment.com/

No one looks at the polls anyway, as everyone knows they’ll be biased by which ever party that paid for them. Currently, the libranos are the ones with all our money.

  10. Local polls done in Saskatchewan show 60+ % support for the conservatives. Keep in mind that when the national polls do the west, they do tiny samplings, mostly in the cities. I think that Goodale would probably hang onto his seat, but the NDP is in for a world of hurt.

  11. I don’t have any idea what the local polls are in Alberta, but if tradition and the current atmosphere hold strong, there may not be any librano seats this time. The anger here is as bad or worse then when Trudeau was in, so ya kinda know what that means.

  12. Rob said: “The outrage is there, they just don’t want anyone to know it.’
    Where is the “outrage”?
    Where is “there”?
    Prove your assertions.
    Who is “they”?
    Who is “anyone”?
What is “outrage”? Rage … bursting out?
Riots in the streets? Thousands of citizens demonstrating in Calgary, Ottawa, Moose Creek & etc.?
Check the malls today: Canadians worshipping Mammon. Just what/where the Libranos want them: Chasing the GDP instead of the Libranos.
    Cynical, eh?
Vote? Who me? They are all corrupt. I do not know who to vote for & Etc.
    Dictator’s fodder: Saddam material.
    Oh, well….ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZ….

  13. Sorry maz2, meant to say MSM/librano doesn’t want anyone to hear about it.
Anger building, time, patience required, timing has to be right. Write your MP, express your anger, tell your neighbor, spread the word. Time needed to herd the sheep.

  14. I don’t think it much matters what you guys and gals in the West do. You nearly wiped the Libs from the western map last election and you still fell short a bunch. Looking at the Ekos Research poll, 60% of all Canadians want a new governing party. Yet the IpsosReid poll shows the Cons getting blitzed in Ontario by 11 points. If Ontario wants the Libs, Canada’s going to get the Libs, isn’t it? I used to feel down when the Dems controlled the Congress for my entire life. Then miraculously, the Reps gained control in 1994. Miracles do happen, but the way the Canadian seats are apportioned makes the Cons job almost impossible it seems.

  15. 1) Corruption and organized crime follow the money, it doesn’t matter who’s in power – get it?
    2) Harper would have called an election, but he won’t because it will look like he’s doing it for power only. Even suggestions of calling an election was cause for a huge drop in his support.
I think the liberals want a non confidence vote so they can fight the election on those issues – slam dunk.. goodbye conservatives.
btw, there are other alternatives.. proportional representation, independants, green party etc. your not stuck with the conservative compromise if you don’t want it.
look what occured in montreal at the convention, that’s the future of the party, no love from quebec..no power in canada.
