As a journalist entrusted to report what was going on to not just his fellow man but his own people of colour, his voting demographic, the people he wants to believe in him….. he at most reported that protests were happening.
When the protests went well beyond what BLM protestors wanted to make for a statement, and began to destroy property, city tax bases, jobs, communities, dreams, lives, when communities were already crying out to stop, as an opinionated show host he did not criticize the protests. He could only criticize attempts to quell the behaviour.
Why? Why would a human being of influence allow his fellow man to suffer like that? Was he fearful of physical retribution for wrong think? Getting cancelled from his career? Based on what was done to other humans who had uttered lesser criticisms than he could have, have been both ways.
Within 24 hrs of ignition 88 days ago, any decent critical thinker that understands human behaviour, society, and looks at history in similar circumstances watched and said this is not going to stop for a while. Where the tipping point would be was hard to see in those first few hours but as Democratic politician after politician, city after city, institution after institution, kneeling not to the BLM message but the protests, it was easy to see this was not going to end soon. It would take more destruction of whole communities before there was enough of an outcry from within saying please stop.
While I am sure any of the communities within would have liked it to stop within the first minute, those in control, Democrats, for whatever calculus wanted it to go on.
We said the media and the left would only be too happy to let it happen either thinking somehow it would either peter out, or in their hearts go all the way to. We also knew the longer this went on this would help Trump re-election.

I don’t watch CNN or the CBC, I subscribe to the Rebel, and I watch Tucker. If you don’t have Fox, or can’t get Fox, each of Tucker’s shows are up on youtube the next day. I do watch CTV occasionally, because there are few other Canadian “news” services that I can get. It is painfully obvious that when you do watch Tucker and Rebel, then CTV, the bias is so blatant, you can cut it with a knife. I suspect CNN and CBC would be just as bad or worse.
