If the environmental movement remains so entangled with the political movement, 2020 will be ugly

…our public discourse on the climate file has sunk so low, been so manipulated and warped, that a global news institution, in a discussion about the challenges of trying to adapt the richest economy on earth, finds it appropriate to insert a false, political, manufactured, propagandistic quote from an ignorant and used teenager about an alleged human rights violation. 1. It’s already ugly.
It’s not about the environment – that is just the current excuse. They will do/say anything to control every aspect of your life.

  2. From the Bloomberg article cited:

“…the rush to plow funds into investments that fulfill environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards has opened the door to a new risk.

“…the worry is that issuers are overstating their green credentials (known as greenwashing) to meet huge investor demand. Meanwhile, no one’s really policing whether the issuers’ claims are true. In short, investors don’t really know what they’re buying.”

To put it another way, firms that market themselves as “green” are lying to investors, either about not relying on cheap fossil fuels for their viability, or about being anything more than scams designed to relieve investors of their money.

  3. Take a look at this article..

    https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2019/10/what-happens-if-we-beat-climate-change

I saw it when leftist radical Druh Farrell of Calgary City Council tweeted it this morning.

“By 2030, your CO2 emissions will be greatly reduced. Meat on your dinner table will be a rare sight. Water and the air you breathe will be cleaner and nature will be in recovery. The money in your wallet will be spent on being with family and friends, not on buying goods. Saving the climate involves huge change, but it could make us much happier at the same time.”

By 2030. It goes on to say cars will be banned, you’ll have exciting plant based food to eat, you’ll have shared living spaces etc. By 2030!

This is what they want now! Be prepared to defend your territory folks.

    1. That reads like a 15 year old wrote it. All that in ten years eh? Gawd Drue Farwell is a nit wit for retweeting that garbage. Not surprising though.

    2. Druh (rhymes with “duh!”) just described North Korea. Why doesn’t she haul her skank ass there?

    3. These daffy prognostications remind me of nothing so much as those naïve old Popular Mechanics articles from the Forties and Fifties, you know, the ones that showed us flying to work or to the mall in our personal helicars or kids wearing jetpacks to deliver newspapers.

The reality check for Ms Furrell’s fantasist notions is simple : Dream on. Ain’t gonna happen.

    4. “Meat on your dinner table will be a rare sight. Water and the air you breathe will be cleaner and nature will be in recovery.”

But, but, but. We will have a new $250 million ‘event center’ in which to watch overpaid boys play hockey. And ‘Green Lines’ to nowhere. (the ‘Green Line’ is the next section of the LRT system to be built, but it is being scaled back year by year due to budget constraints)

  4. The elimination of science in order to accommodate global warming politics has progressed to the elimination of biological science as well, while great efforts are currently being made to cater to the mentally ill, it’s a stretch to think that males and females will put up with obvious insanity indefinitely since their propositions are ludicrous and the consequences for females very negative.

Perhaps the backlash against the new ‘gender science’ will hopefully be more broadly applied to current ‘environmental science’ as well, the public is already sceptical when crying or angry children are used to sell political messages.

  5. It is already ugly.
the true believers want us dead and have not been shy about saying so.
To question the lack of scientific evidence for their wonderous fabric,is blasphemy.
Heretics may not speak in public, heretics will not be heard in the controlled medias.
To ask to see “The Science” is to “deny”.
Climate Catastrophism is the new State Religion, with all the crippling madness and power seeking that such creations ensure.
Nothing makes true believers, who stake their self image on this belief, crazier than to dismiss their ravings as idiocy and unscientific cant.
    Ugly?
They have no idea just how ugly it is going to get, wait until they finish destroying the electrical generation and distribution system.
    Ugly is yet to come.
There is no cure for stupid, when the system breaks, these clowns will march on the super markets demanding that they produce food, even though those shortages will be caused by breaking the transportation chain.
When the water and sewer break, they will chant at the taps and drains, invoking the Water Gods.
And when their cellphone/smart devices fail, they will wander around clutching these icons and staring at each other..seeking the “magic spots” were reception might be.Plugging their chargers into every electrical receptacle..cause that “is where power comes from.”

Try not to be living in the large cities, when Gang Green succeeds.

Ugly thats how it gets, when delusional people realize they have just been told “NO”.
    By armed and desperate citizens.

    1. John, when things finally fail, and they will, I hope I am still prepared and physically able to take what I need from those who wrecked everything.

  6. Two articles that confirm the worst possible case for Canada’s future.

Canada could be an LNG giant — but the Liberals screwed it up
    https://business.financialpost.com/diane-francis/diane-francis-canada-could-be-an-lng-giant-but-the-liberals-screwed-it-up

EIA analysis explores India’s projected energy consumption
    https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=42295

The Liberal’s support of the Paris Agreement is an anathema to the country and its people.

India is investing $60 billion on a natural gas grid to reduce their use of coal ( https://business.financialpost.com/pmn/business-pmn/india-investing-60-bln-on-gas-grid-to-link-up-nation-by-2024 ). Canada is unable to provide the natural gas wanted and needed by India because of the Liberal government’s policies stemming from the Paris Agreement.

Canada could have been the major supplier of natural gas to India. This would have helped to reduce India’s Co2 emissions by hundreds if not thousands of Mtco2 and would have lowered world Co2 emissions significantly. Further, it would have added thousands of jobs in western Canada, increased Canada’s exports by billions of dollars, added millions if not billions of dollars to Canada’s tax revenues and helped to unite a divided country.

For a government to have missed out on an opportunity of this magnitude is nothing short of scandalous.
