  1. I’m glad that Wernick misused Vomitorium, shows even more ignorance on his part…

related… no the cons should not recruit those 2, they may be honourable, but they are still leftists progs

  2. … In short, Wernick is the Canadian expression of the establishment deep state ruling class that is the US Democrats and RINOs.
Full on smugness, up to his neck in the swamp with his ill-considered communications with SNC Chair, whom he replaced.
IOW, coming soon to a election near you, with the slime Kenny warmup leading up to the CPC is racist defaults.
Is he just uncurious, incompetent or involved in the scheme to besmirch our justice system letting off crony kleptocrats?
I don’t believe in demanding resignations, but I’ll make an exception in this case. I tire of these bureaucratic court jesters.
His insulting attitude towards citizens and taxpayers of this nation is unacceptable, and on that basis he should be removed.

    1. Warnick is number one comrade official in Turdeau’s new world. Soon we will hear that 98% of the population voted and 99% of these voted for our illustrious exalted dear leader.

  3. It’s getting to the point where we need international observers. This is banana republic bullshit.

    1. International observers? Don’t worry they’ve got a call into Venezuela, China, and North Korea. 🙁 Sarc off

Seriously, they’ll engage the Tides Foundation.

      1. That would not be surprising. Tides more or less controls our energy industry. Might as well control our elections also. George Soros is always the winner.

  4. I must apologize to another poster named Chris who stated that he worked in the civil service. I asked him a question to which he kindly responded but I wanted to ask him a follow up but didn’t.

Therefore, Chris, if you are reading this thread; thanks for the answer but the real question I have is does a civil servant lose their pension if they are convicted of a crime in the COMMISSION of their duties? I wonder if Chuck Guite had his stripped from him?

If Wernick were to be stripped of his pension, that provides a very strong incentive to lie like a dog in front of any investigation

    1. “does a civil servant lose their pension if they are convicted of a crime”

Nobody loses their pension over anything. Typically half a pension is the person’s own money and the other half is a benefit for past services rendered. It isn’t some kind of charity. I have heard of a postmaster signing away some or all of his pension to reimburse a theft and stay out of jail but that was a voluntary restitution. He actually owed the money.

      1. – Literally. “Mister Williams” didn’t lose his pension, the rationale at the time being that he’d paid-into it. Mind you, his ex-wife was after just-about all of it as a divorce settlement…

    2. In don’t really know what the consequences would be and what punishments could be awarded.

  5. This is as close to perfect definition of “swamp” as possible without actually wallowing in it.

  6. Early election – I can see it. The Admiral Norman trial, if it ever happens, will be informative plus the Jody Wilson-Raybould disaster is far from over. If there is a campaign, the Conservatives should just script the narrative assuming the worst Liberal abuses and run against it. There is no need to be honest in a campaign – the Liberals have never actually done it.

    1. They probably have their talking over, interruption and fake news slime points well rehearsed.
After all they are already saving jobs that are safe for the next ten years.
How many more existing jobs will they be able to save with their serf slavery is safety mantra?

  7. That we tolerate a partisan politician being awarded a ministerial position in something called a Ministry of Democratic Institutions is proof that Canadians accept corruption at the highest levels and even more so under a Liberal government. It is beyond the level of conflict of interest of even a unionized public service. A committee of deputy ministers isn’t any better given their likely allegiance to the ministers who appointed them. Any function related to oversight of elections should fall under the most independent of agents such as the auditor general for example.

  8. – Stick his big toe in the water while the SNC-Lavalin scandal is still at full boil, and Adm Norman’s trial is in the offing? If Trudeau is stupid enough to call a May election, he’ll test the 2-member Conservatives’ record for ‘number of seats lost in an election by a former-majority government’. Doubly-unlikely considering the magnitude of the many scandals that have already blown-past his tousled coiffure, from the Kokanee Grope to his disastrous vacations in India and on the Aga Khan’s island.

I find it hard to believe that even he’s that stupid, but I guess we’ll see.

  9. such innovation.
brand new ways the TURDoo finds to shyt all over Cdns and Cdn values and institutions.
migawd I have never detested a Cdn politishun more than that trust fund brat who never, and literally, had to fret over finances for a single SECOND.

  10. “TRUDEAU – Making Canadians “hewers-of-no-wood and drawers-of-no-water” one lost-job at a time, to SAAAAAAAAAAAVE THE EARTH!!!”

    – Or how did Stiffy DeYawn put it? “GO GREEN – VOTE RED!”

  11. Canada has no need of any ridiculous “Critical Election Incident Public Protocol Panel”.

Canada doesn’t need Michael Wernick either; there are plenty of senior-level public service executives available to replace him as I rather suspect he’ll be “retiring” quite soon anyway.

  12. I hope everyone was watching when Trudeau’s little fascists shutdown the Justice Committee meeting today. After three or four MPs gave their reasons why the former AG should come back, a Liberal MP asked that the meeting should be adjourned. Of course the Liberal MPs all voted for the adjournment. And so the meeting abruptly ended. So much for democracy in Trudeau’s Canada.

    1. “So much for democracy in Trudeaus Canada”… Thast how the Liberals role and they have the Media to cover their backsides, not to mention a pig ignorant, self interested ethnically divided citizenry that vote for their own tribal interests. While Supreme leader Turdhole builds sand castles in Florida and the LIberal Party led committee shuts down whats left of our democracy the Media tows the Liberal Party line. “Does this story have legs?” “Does this story resonate with the public?” ask the Media. Funny, the Media never asked those questions when it came to a 16 dollar orange juice or of Mike Duffy doing nothing wrong. Never underestimate the Media’s ability to ‘rehabilitate” the Turdhole image ( 8 months until Liberal re-election) and never underestimate the utterly detached ignorance of the Trudopian voter. Peeair set up a french colonial shithole and thats we got.

  13. I don’t believe Trudeau will call an early election, when he is lagging badly in all the polls and SNC/JWR is fresh in everyone’s mind.
I posted this article earlier at Reader tips, but didn’t have time to do any research on the author,Mike Cohen. Who is he?

Okay: from his twatter page:”Mike Cohen is a Montreal newspaper columnist and blogger, school board communications & marketing specialist and an elected city councillor.”

  14. Don, last week the media was crowing that Trudeau’s numbers haven’t dropped all that far after the SNC-lav, he was down maybe 2 points against scheer. I’m sure I saw the media high fiveing on TV last week. I know Vassey has gone out of her way NOT to say “the PM” may have interfered, but rather “the PMO” may have interfered.
I think Trudeau may very well give strong consideration in a snap election. Do it before the Norman trial, of course during the campaign Liberals wouldn’t be able to answer question as it’s before the courts. They won’t sign the USMCA trade agreement before the election, campaigning they won’t sign it tills Trump gives up the Steel/alum tariffs. Raybould was difficult and hard to please, Phillpotts was just being a good friend, and CCC was just a whiner, and was quitting anyway.
Scheer has demonstrated he can’t speak in public, even when he’s the aggressor and attacking,,,,,imagine him on defense, defending policy or other CPC’s? Could Scheer get worst, not likely,,,, but Scheer could get better with more time, by the fall election date.

  15. So the author, Mike Cohen, thinks the Cons would be wise to recruit two die-hard Libss who are forced out of the party for indicipline. Well, that’s a good indicator that the Cons are just Liberals in blue suites. If they were truly different parties, then this move would not be possible for them or the party. Of course, Andy 2% would doubtless think this a cunning wheeze of a stratagem.

  16. It may be a little rough for the Liberals for a while, however with aid of the media will successfully be able to sweep this and the Admiral Norman affair under the rug. Sorry to be so cynical. Over sixty years I have seen too much Liberal malfeasance get evaporated to have any hope that this time it will stick. The swamp dwellers take care of their own. The renegades at the Globe will get clued in shortly.

It is time to get back to Duffy, Duffy, and $16 orange juice.

  17. Vivian Krause has documented massive meddling in Canada’s Energy extraction activities, by foreign NGOs and US Foundations. These groups also interfered in the last national election, favouring, who else… the LPC.
    https://business.financialpost.com/opinion/vivian-krause-new-u-s-funding-for-the-war-on-canadian-oil

The proposed panel sees nothing wrong with that, or with G Soros funding of liberal activities and politicians in Canada.
The very makeup of the panel ensures that it proceeds in lock step with the current liberal thinking on Climate Change, immigration and a host of other issues.
Why do Canadians need a panel of their “betters” to monitor some vague foreign threat to free elections? We don’t unless they are going to investigate these groups, and that is a non-starter.
As for the hyperbolic Wernick, and his whining about social media, can anyone come up with a worse person to represent Canadian voters?
