It’s Probably Nothing

SFGate;

Officials at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) are trying to figure out how an unexpected Chinese-language message suddenly blared over the loudspeakers at a National Weather Service office in Maryland on Wednesday.

The intercom announcement caught employees off-guard because the office loudspeakers are not used often, The Washington Post reported.

Minutes before that message was broadcast on the intercom there, the voice of an unknown woman delivered the same message, in Chinese, to employee phones at the NOAA’s Center for Weather and Climate Prediction in College Park, Maryland.

The announcement, loosely translated to English, said “you have a package from Amazon at the Chinese Embassy. Press 1 for details.”

  1. When Harper permitted the Chicoms to takeover Nexen for $15b+ we were told not to worry, the Chicoms will play by the rules this time.

What part of never trust a Communist don’t you understand?

    1. If you remember that far back, there were people commenting on SDA how great a deal it was because they had shares.
The media cartel and the “experts” like Diane Francis were full of free enterprise talk and that the Chinese communists owning a large Canadian resources company was not a problem. In fact and in the main they supported it.
Harper eventually changed the laws so this kind of nonsense could not be repeated.

As it is, once those that have acquired lots of money sitting in the bank, they really don’t care if somebody is of any political pursuation, when they see profit in putting money in communists pockets they will invest.

It would be interesting to know who is investing in Venezuela.
Yes the country is going down, there are those that will immensely profit from it.
      Just watch.

        1. oooooooohhh ya.
they had a form of civilization that predates the egyptians. note there arent any more ‘pharoahs’ around now.
          lots of Chinese.

China will be the very first nation in all of civilization to be a superpower for a 2nd time.
          one decade at a time.
one oppressive tactic at a time.
one computer hack, stolen proprietary information, etc etc at a time.
aaaaaaaand they’re pretty much all ‘in on it’.

  2. So a scammer’s autodialer hit the NOAA telephone system and everyone is confused? Direct lines to desks and the PA System has a direct dial number too. Not really technically difficult to access.

I don’t know which is more newsworthy, that there is a direct dial access or that they can’t figure out how it happened?

But then again, this is the agency bringing you all the technical data on the climate warming front. Shouldn’t be surprising that they are confused by simple technical issues.

  3. Let’s see who can infiltrate the swamp?

Ok, let’s see who can’t infiltrate the swamp?

    It’s that easy isn’t it!

    1. Yes … Princess Rainbow Freeland is begging HELP from the EU Sisterhood of the (nearly) ALL female Swedish Govt. … and Frau Merkel and the Eunuchs of Germany.

      Good luck with the sisterhood.

And sayyyyyy, Princess … what about China’s abuse of dissident women?

  4. Off topic the name of the shooter in NB still not released…..the longer it goes……?

    1. @Spencer100: Well as I type, it has been about 12 hours since the shooter was taken into custody. Be patient. I know, you are wondering the same thing I am. My guess, based on zero clues thus far, that it has nothing to do with Islam.

      1. Oh, another one I missed: “officials are warning against an anti-islam backlash”. You know, the backlash that never has and never will actually happen?

  5. The chicoms are apparently pissed at the 15b price tag they forked out for Nexen. They were promised a pipeline…….
I think Nigel shepherded the deal for the conservatives, the same guy that gave the Puffster 90k with no strings attached.
Bongo would like to sell some assets to his chicom friends but ‘conditions ‘ arn’t right as they say.

  6. Speaking of the mythical “anti-muslim backlash”, we have to do something about infidelphobia. It is becoming a serious human rights issue.
