  1. Liberals don’t do math….Trump does
…they don’t realize when 1 million people demonstrate….that means 325 million did not
and the 325 million are the ones that count

  2. This is the most likely outcome; as children’s cartoons are actually more informative about human behaviour than CNN or MSNBC could ever pretend to be.

In fact, the Tasmanian Devil is actually more well behaved than CNN or MSNBC; they should take some dining etiquette lessons!

  3. Kate, thanks for the good news story on CNN and MSNBC. They are experiencing the ESPN effect. I wonder what motivates news executives to purposely order a shift to a left-wing slant, and then watch their viewership numbers tumble.

  4. CNN went all in with the Trump-Russia connection. I’m sure they thought it would lead to Trump’s impeachment, garnering the network a passel of Pulitzers in the process.

Wellllllll it didn’t work out, and now CNN is suffering a ratings hangover that would stagger a moose. I’m surprized that Jeff Zucker — the head of CNN — is still gainfully employed.

  5. The Trump is dead serious about CNN … He refused to allow them a question @ news Conf… The New ownership will have to change some Production Deck slime balls… (cheap hires & the brain dead)…..SAME hairball guests of the “failed” administration…Boredom has consequences. George Soros can’t dance

Tressa May could bring back the Tower Bridge Bird Cages .. Paint them up with Signs “Communist Provocateur” Same old trick that they used on Pirates

IMHO: The EU has lost control of the communists and TRUMP just helps them to Stand UP.. They will get it done…..

  6. Back when Cable TV licenses were being expanded e.i. competition for Saskatchewan, (in which I was peripherally involved) the Liberal controlled CRTC(Canadian Radio and Television Commission) licensees
had CNN broadcast out of Detroit. We thought it strange that that the CRTC wanted local news coverage to be from one of the failing, increasingly crime ridden cities. As that skewed Canadians impression of America.
Even back then, the “progressives” here and there chose certain channels for portraying a political viewpoint.

Fox News was a relatively recent addition, and dominated within a few years.

As Prof. Jordan B. Peterson opines, the internet with options of serious discussions of issues last up to an half, a full hour or more, providing enough time to develop an understanding. On the TV interviews he’s done with 4-6 talking heads in a 15-20 minute segment. There isn’t enough time for anyone to put forth a full argument or that and a counter argument to get a grasp of an issue/question.

His massively popular interview debate with Channel 4’s Kathy Newman (10 million full views and millions of clips and republished in diff. websites). That lasted 29 minutes, and female affirmative action in the workplace was thoroughly debunked. But Channel 4 TV only broadcast 5 minutes.

He argues that the MSM/legacy media is being replaced by internet free and full discussion channels e.i. his, Joe Rogan, Stephan Molyneux, Stephan Crowder, Ben Shapiro, Dave Rubin and a host of others, because, they are early adopters of a new media, one as revolutionary as the Gutenberg Press. Most of the world now has virtually open access to news and information. The smart and truly curious gravitate to the longer discussion format. It is truly a university w/open access.

The partisan/ideologically driven legacy media are reduced to offering exaggerated click bait headlines/coverage, competing desperately for a shrinking advertiser base. The social media attempt at ideological control is doomed to failure, too. With podcasts/subscribers, donated funding, their independence and success depends on real market forces.

Kate’s meme of the dinosaur MSM media, as a moribund species is an apt one.

Instead of adapting, they compete for a shrinking audience, one often too old or too isolated to access the internet. Investor doom on the horizon.

  7. You say tomato, I say tomahto.

On average, Fox brought in 1.3 million viewers daily this past week. MSNBC averaged 763,000, while CNN had 535,000.

My friends, it’s all in the way that you perceive it. Yes, Fox has the most viewers (~1.3 million). But add up MSNBC + CNN and you have ……..~1.4 million.

    The country is totally split.

    1. Bang on. The media arms of the institutional left pisses all over 50% of the US population while one network (Fox) “attempts” to balance the discussion (making it mostly unwatchable, IMHO) capturing many of the pissed upon audience. Besides, Cartoons are intellectually, closer to reality than the nihilism on the left.

      1. There is nothing remotely ‘balanced’ about Fox. They have become a parody of themselves.

  8. it was always fun watching wolf blitzer twist himself in a knot every night over the trump b.s.

  9. A-Mess-NBC and the Fake News Network(CNN)Big Bad Wolf Blitizer they called Trump Stupid for dumping The Paris Accord then wonder why no one believes them anymore Its better with Kids shows like THE LION GUARD then the Lying Peacock News Network(NBC)who faked GM Truck Fire back in 1993

  10. The jokes told on children’s cartoons are funny … the jokes told on CNN just fall bitter and flat.

  11. I have never had Bugs Bunny look me in the eye and lie to me. That’s all, folks.

  12. Fox at number one got over a million views. This article is comparing pathetic numbers to even more pathetic numbers. Thats not a win for Fox or anyone else. I have no idea how any of these companies remain solvent. It’s not rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, rather, organizing them by quantity of people who sat in them.

    1. exactly Remote……the pop of the US is about 327 million….FOX getting 3/10th of one percent is nothing to crow about either

    2. You are one of about 3 sane people here. My generation (millenials) tend to disdain cable news and Fox in particular. Many of us get our news through aggregators like Google newsfeed, which is honestly the best way to go.

      1. undork, googles about as fake a you can get. Fox, is, and always has been a lefty shithole. They give 3 times the $$$$ to the KKKraps as they do to the GOPPERS. They just learned that pretending to be be “balanced” would draw those who are aware of the leftist slant on most news out lets. 2010 study showed that 85% of uronlists identifies as demoKKKrapers. 2015 study showed that there were 7% of urnolists who identifies as GOP, see the biass, it’s grossly to the left. Fox just runs a business model that works.

      2. Google news isn’t an ‘aggregator’ … they are a leftist ‘curator’ of LIES, half-truths, and omissions. Your echo chamber is one big circle jerk … tug-away on yourself … FOOL.

      3. “You are one of about 3 sane people here.”
Says a window licking poster child for failures of publik mental health care.

        “My generation (millenials)”
Consumes news in soundbites, has the collective attention span of a retarded amoeba and has been brainwashed by decades of PC edumbacation.

        “ tend to”
… begin to understand why political correctness is bad when you move out of your parents’ basements.

“Many of us get our news through aggregators like Google newsfeed,”
Which feeds you pretty much the same load of excrement all other MSM outlets do. But at least you get to pretend that you are hip and nuanced when you’re swallowing the same crapola your parents swallow upstairs.

        “which is honestly “
Everyone already knows that you’re beyond dishonest.

        “the best way to go.”
would be away, anywhere but here, you truly make every conversation dumber, every time you post something the average IQ among those participating in a discussion drops by about 20 points.

  13. So…how ’bout those indictments?

“In the summer and fall of 2016, the operatives invented Guccifer 2.0 and used “him” to release additional stolen documents through WordPress. The indictment notes that a candidate for Congress actually requested that Guccifer send him or her stolen documents related to his or her opponent, and that Guccifer complied. (The candidate is not named.) The Russians also sent stolen Democratic Party data to a “then-registered state lobbyist and online source of political news.” ”

    MUELLER TIME

    1. undork, just how stupid are you. Try understanding the TIMING of this announcement, and you’ll understand the significance of this announcement.

That the Russians hacked away at various systems has been know for a year , or more. That obungles interfered in Israel’s election, and Canada’s is also known. Tell yer mother to let you play on the computer a little more often

It’s all just a political stunt to try and discredit Trump’s effort to talk to Puhteen

      1. Claiming that the evidence presented in the indictment doesn’t exist doesn’t actually make it go away.

        1. Evidence? Hey millennial simpleton! Words and statements aren’t evidence or proof of anything … no matter how many names are specified.

I guess depending so heavily on a platform perfectly suited for catfishing the gullible and desperate results in your sort of thinking …

          1. They made an indictment because they have evidence. There’s a congressional candidate out there who’s laying bricks.

          2. … and without a shred of any evidence or proof … Mueller’s “team” has passed the entire charade off to the same department of the DOJ that developed every FISA warrant to surveill Trump Associates. Illegal FISA warrants based upon HER oppo research. This indictment will die a slooooww death in the DOJ … as time … puts it … further … and … further … out … of the … public … eye … and … is … completely … forgotten.

BUT THE ANNOUCEMENT MADE BLARING HEADLINES IN RED LETTERS ON DRUDGE!!!! sandwiched between a shameful display by a disgusting excuse for an FBI Agent … and MY President’s upcoming meeting with Vlad Putin

    2. If all that is true, humanity is in Russia’s debt.

Continued globalist dominion over the United States was in nobody’s interest. It was a recipe for the end of civilization as we know it. Indictments? If he had the sense he was born with Rosenstein would have recommended they get medals.

As it is, Rosenstein can be sure of this—if they manage to defeat Trump, the globalists will reward Rosenstein for his services by dumping his carcass without ceremony into a mass grave. There will be no room in a globalist America for Jews even as slaves.

    3. I read the indictment (posted on FOX). Really very interesting. I recommend it. Not a difficult read. It lays out the case that the DNC and the Clinton Campaign were hacked and ….. and ……… you know the rest.

Nothing about “collusion” by or with anyone. Efforts to hack RNC or any of the Republican Candidates not mentioned either but not disallowed by findings. Maybe the Republicans are more computer literate. (I think if they wanted Trump to win the Presidency, they would have helped him in the Republican primaries to make sure he was the candidate). John Podestra (Hillary’s Campaign Manager) is not named but is clearly “victim #1”. What a fool. He opened the door to the Russians.

I was always aware of Hillary’s baggage, disposition, and corruption so release of e-mails didn’t change my opinion of her. And, like others, I think the Russians did the U.S. a huge favor.

      1. “Nothing about “collusion” by or with anyone. ”

You clearly didn’t read the indictment or even the section I quoted. A congressional candidate asked for and received stolen DNC docs. There’s more.

  14. Sponge Bob Square Pants had an all naked special, that might have drawn away the CNN viewers. Maybe Wolf Blather with his wooden face should do a naked special.

  15. Regular Show has more brains than all the cable news orgs put together, and The Amazing Life of Gumball is funnier than anything on Comedy Central.

  16. Wolf Blitzer and Plankton have a lot in common with just about all those cartoon villians

  17. I noticed Hallmark Channel in there. It films a lot of its stuff nearby in Hamilton and I know some of the crew.

Hallmark is interesting in that aside from saccharine TV movies based on romance novels, it only has three regular TV shows in production (all also based on romance novels).

You’d think you were watching the Mormon Channel. There are no LGBT characters, no characters who aren’t white, no cities, and all melodramatic conflict is always initiated by a female character who is inevitably sorted out by a more level-headed male character by the end of the episode.

The Hallmark Channel outperforms The WB on every day of the week in every time slot. The divide is a lot bigger than anyone realizes.
