Art Of The Fail

How insanely stupid is Justin Trudeau’s team?

Canada is trying to deal with tariffs brought about by the Trump administration. We are about to host Trump as part of the G7. Why on earth would Trudeau’s team leak details of a phone call to CNN’s Jim Acosta.

Yet that is clearly what happened.

I see Brian’s already posted on it,  but I’m leaving this up for the headline value alone.

  1. Is that a serious question.
Or are we trying to establish the limit of stupidity?

  2. I guess we are lucky Canada never became the dominate force, or the USA would have been toast. The goodie two shoes doesn’t work.
R3emember that Canada fought the 1st an 2nd WW as loyal British subjects for King & country.. Serving under the Turtle (slow moving) F.M. Monty

During the Cold war with the USSR…Canada sold wheat & farm products to the enemy, their friend the USSR

During the embargo with Cuba.. Canada opened Business’s in Cuba & traded openly…..Want Cuban Cigars, go to Canada

Canada has chased USA Aid Money, for Communication systems, to third world Counties,,, Follow the bribing practices by a certain Canadian Phone Company that is no more…

The incompetent UN leadership by Canada.. Judge Rand (Rand formula union fame) and Lester Pearson decisions evolved into the ME quagmire with Palestine….. Was it deliberate?

    Deal with the doubt!

  3. It’s like Trudeau’s unsupervised toddlers after filling their diapers think they now can now finger paint impressively textured pictures describing the beautiful progressive world around them that will be loved and admired by all. Somehow I don’t think Uncle Trump’s gonna be quite as enthused over the runny crap these innocent lil darlings are using to smear his White House with. A well deserved consequential spanking is almost certainly coming…

  4. Didn’t Einstein stay that the difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.

    1. I love these clever videos and songs. Keep ‘um coming.

Historically speaking, somewhat inaccurate in context (Canada did not exist as a country in 1812, etc.) but no denying that Washington DC burned and the invasion of Canada was a disaster. Ironically, it allowed a fresh start to a place (DC) really going nowhere.

  5. I think the problem is that getting applause from the “right” people (limousine leftists, champagne socialists) is more important for Liberals than doing what’s best for Canadians. The Liberals don’t really seem to give a damn about working class Canadians at all except for repeating meaningless slogans. Getting atta boys from foreign VIPs is what feeds the Liberal ego.

    1. ” working class Canadians” simply don’t go to the right dinner parties, my dear.

  6. Trudeau needs this trade war . They will pin the economic fallout that is coming on Donald Trump , not their own disastrous policies. The biggest impediment to a deal is politics in Canada . He is simply diverting attention.

    1. This actually makes sense. While Trudeau is extremely dumb…his handlers and advisers are quite Machiavellian. They’ve essentially taken a page out of Fidel Castro’s notebook by blaming all of the country’s misfortunes on the Americans.

    2. Yes,nothing can save Trudeau’s bacon like the anti-Trump sentiment rampant in Canada.

    3. As always Turdope just loves blaming someone else…usually it is Harper. This economic fallout is all Trudopes. When China steel is bought and made into object them sold to USA as Canadian steel…Trudope is lying. China is using Canada as a dumping ground and Trump knows this!! Trudope thinks Trump is stupid…not a chance he is, now we get to see whom is playing whom. Trudope hates the working class along with the middle class (which there is NO MIDDLE CLASS NOW…WITH ALL THE TAXES).

    4. This is perhaps the pithiest, most-accurate comment I’ve seen to explain many things in the past year.

  7. “How insanely stupid is Justin Trudeau’s team?”

Just look at the leader. The stupid diffuses outward in all directions.

    1. Stupid grows from the heart outwards.

Canada should have put in place a Plan B to negotiate a one-on-one trade deal. I don’t think Mexico helps us at all in a three=way discussion.

  8. I read yesterday that Canada is sending in some negotiators. This is in keeping with my theory that
Trump’s tariffs are nothing more than a negotiating tactic. Nobody wants a trade war, least of all
Donald Trump. Treudeux is out of his depth. Trump is a world-class wheeler-dealer. He will get
some minor concessions from Canada, and the feckless PM will walk away thinking he got a got
deal. That is the hallmark of a good salesman.

    1. Let’s hope so. I hope Trudeau is willing to bend on dairy. Let’s hope that makes Trump happy.

  9. While PM Dressup has the depth of a puddle (Sorry Kenny, a “finger bowl” sounds too much like a Gay Pride float) his and his team’s stupidity might be of an unfathomable depth.

  10. just google “we kicked your asses in the war of 1812” to see Canadians publicly boasting of this event. It’s a very common opinion in Canada. But now that Trump has said it, suddenly “it was the British! Trump is so stupid!!! Canada didn’t even exist in 1812!!!” His odds of winning again in 2020 seem to be pretty good if this nonsense continues.

  11. Am I the only one to remember that before the US election that made Donald Trump president, where everyone was saying he had no chance to win, the stupid idiot Trudeau went down to the United Nations and made a big speech where he was slagging off on the soon to be President?

    1. I remembered he sneered about Trump as President, but did not remember the UN context. Funny the left and Liberal media did not take note. Under Harper, some minor person made a comment favouring Romney to win, and such an outcry about how harmful this was, on and on. What short memories Liberals have. Everything they do is self-serving.

“Trudeau needs to be smarter than this.

What Trudeau needs to be doing is using his personal charm to get Trump alone in a room and talk to him. Trump seems to genuinely like Trudeau, use that to your advantage, to Canada’s advantage.

Insulting the president, insulting his intelligence and giving that story to a man and network Trump despises may feel good for Trudeau’s minions, but it won’t feel good for Canadian workers.

Especially if this leaves us stuck out in the cold.” (BLillie)

    1. Trudeau has no personal charm with serious people. Trump does not suffer fools.

      1. Trump mansplaining (legs spread apart, leaning forward). The horror, the horror. Come on Trump, show us your feminist side…..

  13. Jordan Peterson said it best when he pointed out how irrationally Trudeau had picked his cabinet.

When he had to fill the most important positions in Canadian government, all requiring complicated combinations of skill sets, he did it primarily based on whether or not the potential minister had a vagina.

If you check, you’ll probably find that the group of negotiators we saw pictured on this blog earlier are all left-handed, or Libras or something.

    1. I believe that was done (apart from optics) to ensure the Cabinet would be easy to manipulate. Women as a rule are easier to manipulate than men. We also did not want anyone who might appear smarter than Justin, so some capable, more experienced people were side-lined. The real decisions are not made in Minister’s offices these days. I don’t even think they are made in Canada. The Cabinet is largely cosmetic — just for show.

      1. Trudeau is an ageist.

The decisions about post-national countries are made in Europe by the top 150 most wealthy people, aka the Bilderberg Group.

Glenn Beck and others spoke about this years ago. We may not be pleased but this has been shoved at us. They want one world government. We are to be ruled by an unelected body. Everything else is a distraction.

  14. Maybe I’m a bit slow, or maybe CNN and Trudeau are a bit thin on their history, but during the war of 1812, Canada was a part of Britain so did participate in the whole event.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Confederation

Says Canada as a separate entity came about in 1867.

Now IMHO even that is a bit irrelevant. To ask “Is it a risk to supply?” from Canada one must only look at the failure to get oil pipelines built and folks doing things like stopping train shipments of oil.

Nothing, at all, would prevent similar politically driven actions from blocking the shipment of steel or aluminum to the USA during times of politically inflamed and opposite views.

    1. The dye was cast when Canada did not throw in with the 13 Colonies and fight for their independence from the Brits. Instead Canada opted for colonial rule and things have not changed much since. The oligarchy of the Larentians elite took over from the crown. No USA constitution to protect us.

      1. “The oligarchy of the Larentians elite took over from the crown.” After they destroyed the Family Compact as a viable political entity. The Laurentian Elite now have a firm grip on the country, as PM Harper was an aberration the Elite will not allow to reoccur. You are right about no protection as the Charter is a joke.

      2. My god there is a single Canadian up there in the frozen socialist wasteland that gets it!

  15. Canadians: Trump never said anything if the sort. This is obvious fake news.

Know how I know? Because only in Canada do historians flatter their countrymen that Canadians burnt DC to the ground.

In the States, every schoolboy knows that the War of 1812 was fought between the United States and Great Britain, not Canada. Only a sustained war effort by the armed forces of the British Empire convinced the United States that it was not worth conquering Canada. Canadians unassisted would have never had a prayer against the Americans, then as now.

Every schoolboy except Jim Acosta, apparently. That, or Jim is truly so stupid as to believe Trump is this ignorant.

  16. Justin should really, really not try to outsmart or make President Trump look bad, this will not work out well for him.

    He’s just not bright.

Just stick to diversity, inclusion and gender rights.

  17. At this rate, Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization will own Canada. Not United States, but DJT and his company.

  18. This is interesting. I think that most other country’s leaders actually believe what they see on CNN, read in the NYT and Washington Post. They actually think that CNN has some sway on the matter, that they can pressure Trump through the media.

They can’t. The media doesn’t represent the citizenry or even the electorate as it once did.

This is like leaking something to Pelosi. Sure it will create a fuss, as this has. But it puts you in the place of the opposition.

Other countries are watching this and learning, if they are the least bit intelligent. If Trudeau’s entourage were the least bit intelligent they would have figured it out by now. It has been obvious for two years.

    1. derek: You are absolutely right on where Canadians get their NEWS…CBC, CNN NYT and the Washington Post FAKE NEWS that is what Canadian believe CBC lying all the way to BANK with CANADIAN TAX MONEY!!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES CANADIANS BEFORE IT IS TO LATE. Soros dirty money to Lead Now to gum up the Ontario election in favour for the NDP heaven help if they get in…good by Canada and goodbye Ontario. This is all Linked to our elections are being stolen by outsiders!! THINK ABOUT IT!!

  19. I mean, for whatever reason, Trump has decided that Canada is his adversary. I don’t see what sucking up to him would have accomplished. But yeah still a pretty stupid move.

    1. Andrew: Maybe Trump has realized that Turdope is a friend of Obummer and is being paid by Soros to change Canada to One World gov’t under the UN and you know how Trump feels about the UN. Thousand of illegal migrants…Islam coming to Canada soon!! That is a threat to the USA….another border wall!

  20. I think if one is asking how stupid juthtin is they must have been living under a rock for the last four years.

  21. This is about playing to hair lisp’s base. The anti American left. Same liberal playbook as always. Remember Martin and Chretien’s glorious handling of softwood lumber which was to basically poke bush in the eye.

    1. And, by so doing, to totally screw the workers in the softwood lumber industry. British Columbia was particularly hard it. Of course, since the effect was worst in the hinterlands outside the trendy “Left Coast”, far too many British Columbians didn’t even notice, let alone try to pressure the government into doing something effective to help those who lost their jobs because of this action by the US.

  22. A smart man surrounds himself with smart people. A wise man surrounds himself with wise people. A foolish man surrounds himself with fools. A stupid man surrounds himself with stupid people.

  23. It’s just an ice breaker! Oh that Justin … ha ha ha ha. Now he is convinced that he’s got Trump over a barrel.

In a related story … the DOW was UP 341 points today!! Markets are scared to death of Trudope’s sleeping bag retaliation.

  24. Funny, I seem to remember Trudeau recently apologized on behalf of Canada for the Chicoltin incident in 1861.

So there was a Canada pre-1867 when we need to be sorry for something, but there was no Canada in 1812 when the government needs to leak the contents of a personal call and ridicule the American president.

    We’re governed by idiots.

    1. No, you are governed by a cadre of congenitally retarded foreign Monarchs that subjorn the day to day business of the lowly serf plebes to their Ruling Class led by a commie frog bimbo Barbie Doll Governor General.

  25. Bongo’s going to get tough……the Trumpster is going to face some very tough questions. …. sure bongo you pussi.
Then what? Once you tune up Trump you gonna go and get in Putins face – like you promised…..
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  26. Did Turdeau’s team leak it or did someone in TRUMP’s office (which has so many leaks it can’t keep any secrets) ?
    Both men are total idiots
    both are prolific liars
neither one has done an honest days work

  27. It’s a sad day for our country when Canadians have to stick up for an idiot like Donald Trump. Especially when he insults our nation and our PM. I’m not a fan or a supporter of Pierre Trudeau. However I fail to relate to Brian Lilley’s analysis that somehow or another, our PM is at fault for being insulted over what is one of the most idiotic and outrageous statements Trump has yet to conceive. Whether Canada existed or not in 1812 is not the issue. The point is that it’s irrelevant to what is happening today. Yet tomorrow Trump may go on anther tangent. Who will he blame next?? Rocket Richard?
    http://allthatsinteresting.com/mental-illness-leaders

    1. Maxine, that you??? Trump is playing an idiot called TurDough. You should be blaming those who elected this idiot. Trump is smarter than you, richer than you, and will piss on your pride minister for you. Trump is using “street smarts” to drain a swamp. It ain’t always polite nor pretty, but it is getting the job done to some extent. Now pi$$ off!

    2. PM Socks brought this on himself when he and his fellow juvenile cabinet insulted Trump on numerous occasions even before Trump’s election. Trump is going to give it back.

    3. If Trudeau wants to bring up long-past history (Canada’s contributions to the world wars) while he squawks that Trump’s being a big meanie towards Canada, he doesn’t have the right to turn around & continue whining when Trump does the same to him.

    4. stop importing china’s steel and dumping it in America. Stop being stupid.

    5. look above, I provided a link to the SMITHSONIAN and they say it was CANADA who burned the White House in 1812

is the Smithsonian a bunch of idiots too?

  28. Canada has always spun the narrative that ‘we’ won the war of 1812.
The truth is the US was largely disinterested with this skirmish and chose not to finance it.
Fresh off the Napoleonic wars Britain had a large well trained force ready to fight. Many troops expertise and weapons were assigned to Canada.
Yes the ‘Canadians ‘ won some battles but keeping it in perspective we hardly defeated the United States of America.

  29. Harper warned us they weren’t ready, that they would quickly, given their statist solutions, be in way over their head.

We can see he was not wrong at all. What he predicted has generally happened.

Statism doubled down leads invariably to outgroup/identity politics, the bane of civil society, which only worsen.

  30. PS Allan. I think the real problem is NAFTA, and the threat is on our Southern border, not any real
problem with our Northern brothers. America and Canada have been trading forever and I
do not think much will be done to change things between our countries. By splitting Canada
and Mexico, he gets to negotiate two separate deals. His primary goal is to gain concessions
from Mexico in order to stem the tide of illegal immigration, drug smuggling, etc.

As a master of the art of the deal, Trump knows that it is all about the give and take. I have often
likened him to Cal Worthington, the famous owner of a chain of Ford dealers in California. I used
to watch his TV ads as a kid. When I grew older and understood more about economics, I realized
that his salesmen would start out high and allow the customer to negotiate the price down to
a number that he had in mind all along. Whatever the outcome is between Canada and America,
Trudeau will walk away with a smile on his face because a happy medium will be found that
satisfies both Canada and America. I cannot say the same for Mexico because Trump is going
hammer the Mexican government over the issues on our Southern border.
