Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I live in country with government medicare. We’re more prosperous than the US and have less debt any way you measure it.
I have relatives in the states. If you factor out what we’d pay for health care our taxes are similar.
Apologies to the rabid right, but the squabbling in Washington doesn’t seem to be for the benefit of every day working Americans.
Yeah, the ACA is a job creator. We just haven’t seen the results yet.
L, I could ,butt will not list those (besides myself) close to me who were failed by our great kommunist health care fiasco here in Kanadar, only a couple of those are dead.
Nice country they had there. Be a shame if someone broke it.
Exactly, we solve our waiting lists in the morgue. Ask my doctor. From what I see, much of Europe has a superior health care system, and that being a mix of private and public, and no waiting lists. Britain may the only exception.
C, you are a little late, the US is already broke.
I’m 67 years old. I started paying for government mandated health care in my 20’s. If I had the opportunity to spend my money on a private health care plan, I would have much better
coverage than I do now. Not just the premiums but the additional taxation through income tax, GST, Ontario health care “levy, etc.
It’s all a house of cards that is destined to fall. You can take that to the bank.
