Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Just wait until Justina and Angry Tom find out about this, they will demand that the taxpayer support the same idiotic ideas here in Canada. Let the moulting homo’s set their own eggs. Build them public hatcheries with nests and turkey basters supplied…
Sick!
Do you remember when this was comedy:

In yesterday’s WSJ, James Taranto made a good point about this in Best of The Web:
Since “infertility” is inherent in homosexuality, what California is proposing to do is once again define homosexuality as a disease–not in order to stigmatize gays but in order to subsidize them.
Yet another example of unconscious liberal irony in action…
That whole state is completely buggered.
ALL same sex marriages are sterile.Didn’t these a%$hats take basic biology? Oh wait. That’s to hard for leftards.
Next things those einsteins are going to do is provide millions in funding for research on how one partner of a lesbian couple would be able to grow a penis.
Biology is hard.
Just when you think they can’t get any more rediculous…..
All kidding aside, this is their way of forcing the insurance companies to pay for surrogacies or in vitro procedures of donated sperm. The fact that they are going to still make them futiley try for a year is what makes their PC equal rights for all sound so stupid.
My post with link got caught in Kate’s filter so I’ll repeat my comment without it. In yesterday’s Wall Street Journal Best of The Web column James Taranto made an amusing and ironic point about this: “Since “infertility” is inherent in homosexuality, what California is proposing to do is once again define homosexuality as a disease–not in order to stigmatize gays but in order to subsidize them.”
I think that those couples who are “infertile” should be taxed for this entitlement benefit since those who are infertile because of vasectomies and tubal ligation have benefited from insured medical procedures.
sarcasm label flying proudly.
What used to be satire is now leftard public policy…
Thanks,Andrew, that Python clip captures the mentality of “activists” beautifully.
It’s a madhouse!

It’s simply what happens when you toss the moral compass into the garbage can. The people pushing this social experiment will be the last ones to say “oops”, we might have been wrong. After all, they are “experts” in social engineering. They have a piece of paper that says so.
It’s not a disease, it’s a mental disorder. A disorder that some people can live happy and fufilling lives, but where most suffer internally.
That said, your point is well taken.
California: old word meaning ‘land between the toilet and the cesspool’
Benefits/perks for Ontario Public Service employees :
***** fertility treatments ****
* maternity top-up payments (to 93% of salary for 32 weeks)
* parental leave top-up for new fathers (to 93% of salary for 17 weeks)* parental leave top-up for adoptive parents (to 93% of salary for 17 weeks)
* health benefits during maternity and parental leave
* extended unpaid parental leave option (beyond the first year)
* onsite daycare centre; with 76 spaces; 16 childcare workers; and a 12 month waiting list for available spaces
That would include coverage for gay couples/common-law couples
That should have read ‘old Indian word’…
Just wait until Wingnut Wynn the lesbo Preem of Ontario hears about it.
Jamie
toilets and cesspools have utility, Californicate, not so much!!!
So let’s see if I’ve got this right: a male with a sexual preference for watermelons fails after a year to produce a baby watermelon despite many nights of trying. Does the state of CA then provide him with an endless supply of watermelons? If the product of a human/watermelon mating resulted in fertile progeny, then such families could grow very quickly. We now have a precedent that’s been set and all ones needs is a lawyer crazy enough to argue this case in court and one would have an endless supply of free watermelons for life.
Presumably the same argument would hold for non-vegetable forms of sexual orientation and it would take just a years worth of night-time work to be supplied with a steady stream of sheep, goats, cows and pot-bellied Vietnamese pigs. I won’t get into expanding this to shoe fetishists but then who knows what might happen in a CA court?
