  1. Helen of Troy in Cuba

“Getting old must be devastating. It scares me at least. I’ve become more sensitive, more sympathetic with age.”

“How much is the coffee, madre?” I asked.

“60 pesos, mi hijito, but I’ll give it to you for 50, I need to sell it now,”

“I’m selling it so I can buy a couple cubes of chicken bullion, hijo, so I can make yellow rice, with rice my neighbor gave me because it had weevils in it, but I cleaned it properly and it’s OK now. I haven’t eaten anything since yesterday at noon, and that was just a bodega store bread roll with sugar water. They haven’t sold bread today because they’re still waiting for the flour to come in.”

  2. Return Of The Truckers – The Scariest Sequel Ever:

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/could-ottawa-convoy-come-back-experts-weigh-in-1.6661434

“After a peaceful Canadian protest turns out to be too peaceful, a terrified Prime Minister Dick Tater finds himself with no reason to run, hide, or declare martial law. In a panic he turns to Batman’s nemesis Mr. Freeze, played by The Honourable Seamus O’Regan, and together the two plot to fight global warming and kill the protesters at the same time”

    1. Yes, it was expected Trudeau could ignore them and they would head home. The bloated government services had no clue how efficient and capable people actually work for a living at getting things done. The parasites have no respect for it. Another convoy involves significant risks for those involved and anyone supporting them. Many people have paid a significant price for the last convoy while the elites have basically escaped scott free ,able to continue their damaging ways. I admire their sacrifice and they have given much hope. One thing we should of learned is the government is prepared to use any means to maintain their control up to and including sniper ,armored cars and tanks and total destruction of personal property and finances. I believe that the only reason the emergency act ended in such a short time was the large cash withdrawals and international reputational damage caused by the freezing of accounts and seizures of donations. An organized withdrawal of funds from financial institutions may well be the safest way to protest in the future. It is pretty hard for our exalted rulers to portray it as violence and I don’t think they can put you in jail for it .

      1. Concerned, a nationwide truckers strike for about a week should put the nation in a final tailspin as it come crashing down.

        1. A trucker’s strike is not a bad idea. At this point, the government seems to have no qualms about abusing the population. Justin has no remorse about the Emergency Act nor forcing Canadians to take an experimental drug. People wanting to preserve what freedom we have left have few tools at this point. A Trucker’s strike is one option for pushing back.

          1. A general strike would be better, otherwise the truckers are dangling out there alone. And what could they do if everyone filed their taxes on May 1st?

    1. Interesting DB. Just think there are now over 8 billion people on the planet If everyone had an eight-ounce dump every day that would be four billion pounds of poop a day. Talk about being up to your eyes in it.

Restricting these realistic-looking devices will ensure misleading and potentially dangerous devices are off our streets, keeping kids, law enforcement and all New Yorkers safe.”

“According to Britain’s Ministry of Defence (MoD)” –

      https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2022/11/26/uk-russia-hitting-ukraine-old-cold-war-era-nuclear-missiles-minus-warheads/

BUT, IIRC, didn’t British MoD also helped with stocking that “Steele Report”?

      1. My replies keep getting caught up in the filter. Neither story is entirely true. Will try again tomorrow.

      2. As for those nuke missiles less warheads. Sort off. Russians are not currently actively removing nuke warheads from their missiles and sending them warhead free. Rather years ago some older missiles had warheads removed and were supposed to be used as aerial targets for air defenses. Now they are fired together with life missiles as decoys to saturate air defenses.

Any questions? Suck it up Broshevicks. You did not get support from the Swedish “right wing” government, you did not get support from Italian “right wing” government, you sure as hell are not getting any support from Polish “far right” government, and you will not get any support from Canadian right wing government. Civilized are sticking together on this one, and for once they are right.

    1. That’s another strike against PP. As much as I respect the Ukraine PEOPLE fighting back and standing strong against Russian aggression, I can’t agree that the Ukraine people are free. Not under Zelensky.

    1. Here is a worthy Canadian charity I didn’t know about until this morning:
      https://www.thedemocracyfund.ca/

Worth tooling around the website. Fund strongly supports civil liberties and free expression in Canasa, through education and litigation. I’ll be contributing $10 or $15 a month, and note that donations are tax creditable.

      1. Good luck on getting a tax deductible receipt. In 2021 I gave them $1000 and never got a receipt. They ignored my many e-mails entirely.

  5. The new Disney movie Strange World, costing a whopping $180-million, is bombing at the box office:
    https://www.worldofreel.com/blog/2022/11/4abukam3k3ww1iahgiynsio78cg3k4

The underwhelming start has nothing, repeat nothing, to do with the lead character being homosexual, and flaunting his homosexuality from beginning to end in the movie. Most corporate discussions about the movie-bomb, like the one below, do not mention the homo theme:
    https://screenrant.com/strange-world-movie-ending-explained/

Most parents, it seems, want to take their kiddies and spend $100 to see pro-gay flicks. As an economic recession hits.

    1. “The underwhelming start has nothing, repeat nothing, to do with the lead character being homosexual, and flaunting his homosexuality from beginning to end in the movie.”

Indeed, there’s no reason to believe that the character’s gayness had anything to do with the movie’s issues-at least directly. It wouldn’t surprise me if teh gay was a substitute for actual character development and serious writing in general. In any event, normal people aren’t phased by homosexuality in the slightest.

I have no idea who this movie is for or why it wasn’t marketed at all as far as I can tell. This seems like a throwback to older, clunker, worse animated films. Like the kind DreamWorks used to make before people realized DW is actually a bad studio.

      1. “I have no idea …”

You don’t, in general. Normal people do not want to watch films about gays. They don’t care if the character is gay or not until they are told that the character is gay and then they turn off and tune out. It is basic psychology douchebag. When people watch fiction they imagine themselves in those situations or circumstances. Most people don’t like to imagine themselves with a cock up their a$$.

    1. LOL yes go with Nick Fuentes’ best friend and serial retard. The only big thing Trump was effective at was handing all the power to Democrats and their left-wing in particular. You lost, get over it.

Pfizer’s CEO rapped by regulator for making ‘misleading’ statements about children’s vaccines.

    1. I found that Bibbi tweet here

There will be, in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods. And this seems to be the final revolution

Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is a research and development agency of the United States Department of Defense

For past several years, DARPA has been pioneering a powerful new type of countermeasure against infectious disease called gene-encoded antibodies. They work by providing cells with genetic instructions for producing one or more highly protective antibodies against a given threat.

        2. Gene therapy acts by fixing a targeted cell. The vaccine does no such thing it just uses that cell to produce an immunogen. In any event, regardless, there’s no genetic modification.

      1. “No we didn’t that’s not how the vaccine works.”
Yes, it is. It has been observed to reverse transcribe in human liver cells.

    1. Reader – Wasn’t this paper, as well as some others, rather soft on Hitler during the ’30s? Rather think they’re just continuing the tradition.

    1. Absolute insanity.

      Go woke; go broke.

I remember back in 2015, during the federal election campaign, the local convenience store put up an election sign for the candidate I was working for (and it was my very last election campaign, but I really wanted the incumbent out).

When I went in to the store, the husband pointed out the sign to me, knowing I worked for that candidate’s campaign.

I then asked him what sort of vote did the typical winning candidate get in an election and what percentage voted against the winning candidate. When I pointed out that typically, more than half the voters vote against most winning candidates, he got my point and took down the sign. Why needlessly possibly upset many of your customers over something unrelated to your business?
