    1. Decades of Propaganda of Global Warming…
      Okay then, WHY?
If our planet is supposed to be warming…
Do we still not have record breaking temperatures constantly taking over the daily temperature records?
You would think that each year would have new records constantly being broken…which hasn’t been happening.
365 days should be having current heat records constantly broken, if it was actually happening.

    1. You mean you aren’t excited about JustinVision? Imagine an entire channel devoted to his socks. How about one that shows nothing but his wisdom, knowledge, and insight? (To be accurate, it would have to be dead air.)

We shall be endlessly entertained and informed……

  1. 100% of all Netflix Documentaries are Leftist Propaganda. The CBC couldn’t be any worse.

    1. I will not watch the crap on any of those on that list. They’re all in the same Marxist camp.

      1. Don’t forget 2-spirit … Chief Wannum male or female … whichever is available in the teepee. Is that a teepee in your loincloth?

    1. Well c’mon now, Ontario John. You’re not just limited to that! I mean, there are also hundreds upon hundreds of documentaries about species extinction, the impending AGW Apocalypse, and the troubling rise of populism.

And, what Scott said at 12:33.

    2. I’ve never watched any documentaries about those sorts of people. Did I miss something important?

  2. All documentaries should have their opening start with who paid and how much was paid for the information that the viewer is about to watch. Contact information for any questions or corrections.

No ambiguity or manipulation as to what is about to be ingested.

That would help clarify and garner supporting the documentary presenters for future projects.

    1. That should apply to all programming, especially the “news”.

I recall in the distant past when programs would be interrupted by ‘pause for station identification’. It should be reinstated, with the addition of a list of major sponsors.

  3. Even 2% is high. Must be from people flipping channels and staying by mistake a bit more on CBC.

    1. My thoughts exactly… who are this supposed 2%… must be bureaucrats and Turdhole/NDP cultists.

Tubi is quite a good service for documentaries… its a free service so just sign up… watched a fairly decent doc on the WW2 battle of Stalingrad last night, not bad at all.

CBC is for racists, bigots and fascists, the same demographic as the people that work for the CBC.

  4. “We’re all not watching it together”, but that’s okay – we’re all paying for it together!

  5. l dropped shaw after the 27th rerun of the history channel 3 part ‘stalin bad’ series.
l implored them to DO SOMETHING about this dearth on new programming.
naturally they claim ’nuffin we’se cn do youse gotta call dem’.
uhuh. soooooo their producers and pencil necks gonna heed the call from
a schmuck and ignore YOUR CEO?
it gave me great satisfaction to remove their dish, take a sledge hammer to it and dangle it off a parking sign for the scrap scroungers. then sold all the channel selector eqpt.
me and FOUR tenants and they thumbed their g.d. nose at me?
currently havent had a flat screen for better part of a year, dont miss ANY of it.
    not even ‘withdrawal’ symptoms.

    1. Darn! I could have used a dish like yours for amateur radio experiments……

      1. I have a Shaw dish that I recently removed from my house (they upgraded me to a small 1’ square model). You can gladly have it if we can get together somehow. I have a brother-in-law living near Tofield that we’d like to visit this summer.

        1. That sounds like a good idea. How large is it? Being in an apartment, space is at a bit of a premium plus it has to fit into the back of my truck.

The other thing is that I’m still travelling to and from northern B. C. I’m bringing the remainder of my stuff from Fort St. John back to Edmonton, so timing would be important for me.

What prompted my original comment was an apartment clearout in my building a number of years ago. The last tenants abandoned a lot of items and I noticed a small TV dish in the stuff that the crew hauled out. I’m kicking myself for not having asked if I could have it. It might have been fun to see what sort of antenna set up I could have built with that.

          1. The dish is approximately 24-30” in diameter, I’m not at home right now to give you an accurate measurement but should be in a couple of hours.
We haven’t made any solid plans to go to Alberta yet ( we live in Saskatchewan about an hour south of Saskatoon – song lyric, I know) so our timing is quite flexible, probably mid July or early August.
I’ve been an SDA reader since the emails were leaked from East Anglia University (hiding the decline) and SDA broke the story. I’ve very much appreciated and agreed with your comments over the years on many subjects, keep up the good work.

          2. I don’t think I’ll have much problem getting it into the back of my truck.

I could meet you in Tofield, though I’m not familiar with the town itself. It’s been many years since I’ve been there, but I should be able to find my way around.

I’ve very much appreciated and agreed with your comments over the years on many subjects, keep up the good work.

            Thank you.

            P. S., I’m an ex-Stooner myself, as I was living there in the early 1980s.

  6. As a person somewhat to the right of centre who hasn’t been able to stomach the CBC for a couple of decades, I find this to be encouraging because it means to me that even a majority of the 30% or so who evidently support the Liberals and our Prime Minstrel™ do not also support the CBC. This in turn seems to make it more likely that cuts to CBC funding will (eventually) take place. I hope.

    1. No, that makes it more like that the CBC will be funded.

Because, apparently, Canadians don’t know that the CBC exists. More must be done to promote this hidden gem we pay millions for!

  7. I remember Simpsons re runs and jays games after school when we had no cable. How could they mess that up? It’s been a few decades.

  8. Even the mindless mushy middle voters who swing left for free stuff don’t watch the CBC ministry of propaganda. It’s now only the refuge of the hard core watermelons, LBGTQXYZ activists, glue sniffers, CBC employees, and professoriate.

  9. That like a tax payer subsidy of a billion dollars a percentage point a year. Thank god viewership is not higher!

  10. This only speaks of documentaries on CBC, but what about all the other CBC programs, how do they rate?
I know( from articles at CBC) that “Kim’s Convenience” was viewed by more Canadians every week than watched the famed 1972 Summit Series, and “Little Mosque on the Prairie” was watched by 9 out of 10 Canadians.
Trying to find the weekly ratings for TV shows in Canader is like searching for an honest politician, damned near impossible to find.
The only solution to these low ratings is MORE FUNDING,and I’m sure de guvvermint will come through on this.

    1. why am I skeptical about 9 of 10 for Little Mosque? Perhaps .0009 of 10 is more realistic?

      1. Your skepticism is well founded.I simply made that number up because I could never find the program’s real ratings.
I watched the show twice,it was NOT funny even though it was billed as a comedy.

    2. The last show on CBC TV that I watched and actually liked was The Arrow about the Avro Arrow when it was shown more than 25 years ago and the only reason I watched it was because I’m a fan of the plane.

  11. I never watch CBC Garbage… ever.
Is bad enough that HIC constantly pushes their BS at me during a game….good thing I have Mute Button.

  12. All we have is an over-the-air antennae but we still get a lot of channels: Fox, CBS, CTV, CBC, 6 x PBS, TVO, CityTV, CHCH, Circle, Start, ION, THIS, MOVIES, and several Quebec (French) channels … and I probably missed a few.

But most evenings, the TV is off.

  13. 3rd attempt
the irreconcilable contradiction in that fiasco that NO ONE esp. hard core CONservvvatists and ‘dief the chief’ turd catchers REFUSED to answer was this:

-scrapped because obsolete, unsuitable, etc a slew of excuses.

well, if that’s the case, howcum ALL TRACE OF IT HAD TO BE CUT UP OR RUN THRU A PAPER SHREDDER. cant we keep jusss *whun* as a museum pc? OH NO OH NO OH NO THE RUSSKIES MIGHT GETS AHOLD OF IIIIIITTTT!

    ?

so on the one hand they use the ‘unsuitable’ excuse, as if ALL cold war opponents are on the same page relying on missiles, but, But BUUUUUUUUT can’t lets da teknologgy gits in da grubby hannns ub da rooskies. nope nope nope.

? but you just claimed its all useless in the missile era, so which is it?

useless uninteresting, or highly sensitive ‘cutting edge’ that must be guarded by destroying every trace post cancellation? which one o hard core dief fans? hmmm?

all l ever got was lip and excuses. even to THIS DAY.

l concluded at it was confirmed in a poli sci lecture that dief was a petty man and resented the popularity of the LIBERAL support of CanaDUH’s aviation SUCCESS.

ps which *other* country in the WORLD leaves their military aviation entirely in private hands? its ALL government funded and that baby was the BEST in its day and would have sold hundreds if not friggin thousands. jeezuz murphy it could accelerate UPWARDS to get to operating altitude.

until miserly petty resentful petty (did l mention that?) dief scuttled it.

    1. aha my trick worked again!
can ANYONE point out whut is SOOOO offensive about this message other than bashing conservatists aint permitted on SDA?

p.s. th extra line spacing came from the ‘copy paste as text’ process. so THAT aint it.

AND was supposed to be a reply to BA’s reference to the Arrow documentary

    2. What are you on about? I can’t translate this nonsense. Please write in the accepted Standard English so that it is understandable.

    1. Some people your age do, it is an employment program for gender studies majors, etc., etc. In other words otherwise useless idiots.

  14. “Few Canadians, only two in a hundred, turn to CBC-TV for informative documentaries, says in-house federal research“.

    Informative documentaries!!!!???? AHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Oh my God, I can’t stop laughing. I guess they have to believe their own lies.

  15. The only thing good, a hole 5 minutes, on the Ceebs was “Coach’s Corner”.
More laffs, hockey insight, truth, patriotism, respect for those who serve and pay the ultimate price.
    “You people”!
