As published a few hours ago, it is absolutely true that the weak corporate cowards at GoFundMe have succumbed to the pressure from “powerful forces”.  To that end, and following up on what Tim Pool wrote, here’s a related message posted on Telegram:

So, if you have donated via GoFundMe, please contact your bank and dispute the charge to your credit card or bank account.

  1. Sadly, I suspect that the banks and credit card companies will not follow through with the charge-backs and disputes. I would not be surprised if the banks start closing the accounts of people who try to get their refunds this way.

    We all realize that this is now about far more than vaccine mandates, right?

    1. If one makes a purchase, or donation, and the transaction is not followed through with then the money MUST be returned. Anything short of this is theft & fraud.

    The bankers look at the Convoy now in horror, convinced they see Major Douglas, Rev. Aberhart and the good men and women of the Alberta Social Credit movement of ’35, risen from the dead.

    More fools them. Unless the bankers succeed in destroying western civilization, Social Credit will never die.

    Let the bankers try to starve the Convoy of finance. While bankers plan, truckers laugh. Bible Bill is laughing with them.

  6. I finally got through on GiveSendGo. Triple the amount I originally donated to GFM.

    It’s a good thing that commies aren’t very smart. This GFM nonsense is going to blow up in their face big-time.
    The fund is already over $250,000 and the servers are overloaded (or being DOS’d, which would suck).

    1. I eventually got through too (3am). I wanted to give $500 but kept getting a deny, lowered to $200 and got through and got that contributed.
      Will go back tomorrow go contribute more.

      PS. plus $50 to Democracy Fund and $50 to Judicial Centre. My original $100 to GFM has multiplied!

  8. When I started my donation process on GSG they are at 312,000 and change… after filling out the form, and the process, they had gone up to ~323,000. I believe it’s in $US.

    Everyone knows Go fund me is Marxist.
    Why would they use that platform in the first place? There have been multiple high profile instances of Gofundme getting extreme left political, and similar things happening. I do not donate through them as I suspected it was just a Marxist front to get everyone’s names and credit cards to go after them for being supporters.

    The convoy “wisdom” in selecting this extreme communist left platform, raises several doubts in my mind.

    1. Don’t forget, when this started, they had no idea how big it was going to be. And like zoom, FB and other questionable businesses, Gofundme was just kind of the default setting that most people went to when it came to fundraising.
      I am more than willing to cut them some slack on this, especially when they were just getting started.
      They have done far more than I have.
      I am thinking of heading to Winnipeg…..should be fun.

  14. My refund request to GFM seems to be going ahead; we’ll see. At the moment I can’t get through to givesendgo.com…multiple tries.
    I sure hope that’s because the Convoy supporters are overwhelming their servers. 🙂
    I haven’t heard anything from BJ Lichter for the past few days; is everything OK with him?

  16. Filing a chargeback with GoFundMe is all well and good, but you can do better. File for arbitration.

    Arbitration costs are ruinously expensive, sometimes costing up to $10,000 for arbitrating, even before any settlement has occurred. THEY PAY THE FILING FEE!

    The terms are found here and they state that you must file for arbitration individually, this puts them on the hook for $$$ for each person that files…

    Refuse to do any work in a media office, ie, phone repairs, IT problems, refuse to do service calls for plumbing back ups, etc?
    Refuse to service any vehicle owned by any media company?
    Boot them out of restaurants?
