    How nice. I wonder, will the drug stores have someone trained on how to use they masks. Bet not
    Or the fact you cannot have facial hair when using these masks.
    Worse part. These masks cause all kinds of skin issues. Folks won’t wear them for long.

    Wore these things for far more years then I care to remember. There is nothing fun about them.

      1. I am currently doing insulation in my little (read: huge) semi-DIY remodel project. Installing fiberglass batt insulation isn’t the healthiest of things for an old fart to do. If I don’t wear a mask, my throat is quickly filled with fibers and I spend the evening hocking up throat invaders. I’ve used several masks for the task, including the N95 mask. A real top quality model, with rubber gaskets for sealing to my face. The first day I used one of these masks … I was gagging and choking all night. It appears as though that nifty little plastic vent which allows breathing … also allows all the insulation fibers to flow thru. What do you think these masks do to defeat a virus? Absolutely nothing. What mask works best? The simple, cheap, blue paper masks.

        The idea that N95 masks are going to “save” you from COVID is a total JOKE. There is NO SCIENCE that proves masks STOP viral transmission. So what does that old puppet-FOOL Bidinh do? He orders up hundreds of millions “Free” N95 masks for Americans. I suspect that our various mandatory-mask regulations are actually making COVID transmission WORSE. They’re certainly NOT helping. False hope, and false science are very dangerous (and costly) to human life.

          Viral particulate is between .06 – .12 nm …. No mask on the planet can prevent ingress or egress of sub micron viral particulate.

          1. I’ve never fully understood hypnosis. I’ve never understood how a functioning human brain can be hijacked by a simple parlor trick to do what some stranger bids them to do or say. They say it takes a person who is … “open to suggestion”. What does that mean? That certain people not only accept … but yearn for someone to TELL them what to do or think? That’s bizarre to my functioning brain.

            But I suspect it’s the great masses of people who are “open to suggestion” have cowered in FEAR .., abject FEAR … over a 99.7% survivable COVID. It’s been “suggested” they cower in FEAR … and they comply. The vast public has been hyp-no-tized by the CDC, WHO, and the FDA.

        2. The entire mask issue is one of subservience promoted by those with totalitarian desires like our leader Justin.

          The entire COVID issue appears to be a dress rehearsal for the Great Reset (WEF : Klaus Schwab) , of which Trudeau is a true supporter.

          Masks are just the start , then came Vax-Passports , next would be implanted VAX chips which would become social credit monitoring schemes.

          Just imagine how wonderful that would be for a Trudeau type. Once in power you would have the ability to literally starve your opponents into submission by rigging their social credit score and you would be PM for life like Idi Amin.

          One aspect Trudeau types forget (eg. Stalin vs Trotsky : Trotsky was assassinated) , is that local politicians would become irrelevant and unnecessary as there can only be one supreme leader.

        3. Unfortunately, from looking around elsewhere on the internet there are plenty of people who think that the government’s plan to provide N95s is a great thing and they can’t wait until they’re made available.

          Meanwhile, the rapid testing kits which Americans can request (4 per household) are going to take 7-12 days from requesting them just to ship via USPS. In other words, maybe the first deliveries will make it people by the end of January. Then there’s the whole issue of USPS not being able to keep up with the mail volume they’ve got now, so let’s give them a lot more!

          1. And only the first person in an apartment building to order a kit has their order processed. Everyone else in the building gets a message saying you can only order one kit per household. LOL FJB.

        1. Saw a report, perhaps here, from a Rutland, Vermont TV station that people were testing positive, and then heading directly to the ER, whether they were sick or not. A regular news report, not a rant from right wing haters like me.

  11. Our politicians are so deep in the pile, that they don’t see a way to extricate themselves that doesn’t expose how badly this has all been handled. The schools here in Alberta are so over the top – first hand experience yesterday. Little one sneezes twice. Go home, not allowed back for 24 hours. Stupid paperwork to fill out and negative test before back in school. Another day and a half of instruction lost. It was a sneeze – that’s it. Students are still masked and there are staff asking for double masking requirements or N95s. Doubling down on stupid. I get that Omicron is everywhere. About 20 close family members (yes, there are a lot of us) have all come down with Omicron in the past three weeks. Relatively mild – no worse than any annual flu/cold. We did what we have always done – you get sick you stay home and don’t visit anyone, especially elderly parents/relatives. It’s called common sense. Time to let people reclaim their lives. We, as a society, are going to be paying for what we have inflicted on our children for a long time.

      No politician that I can remember has ever apologized for a mistake and COVID will be no different. If you look closely a few health agencies are starting to quietly walk back a lot of the claims . They may be corrupt or incompetent but not all are totally stupid , and there is no question the politicians will try to blame the medical community.

      Watch Doug Ford (Ontario) try to avoid a crushing defeat at the polls this spring. He may yet succeed.

  16. Nova Scotia just updated it’s hospitalization data after a month of no reports. Double Vaxxed or triple vaxxed 80%, unvaxxed 20%, and the unvaxxed includes anyone within 14 days of any dose. Time to admit vax failure.

  22. Just back from Vegas visiting elderly parents. We’ve put off visiting since Dad is now quite frail after a broken hip and three months in a Southern Californian care facility. How he survived, I don’t know. Masked for hours on end at JAX, MDW and LAS. Very hard to breathe in even cloth masks. On trip back we apparently contracted omicron despite the masks. Slight symptoms for me, bad “cold” symptoms for better half. I reluctantly was shamed into a single J&J shot by free, no-line Publix pharmacy. Husband had double Moderna shots and associated booster. We’ve been otherwise running around maskless in the Free State of Florida for more than a year and a half. Has the country slipped this much since the days of polio? Apparently so.
