It’s hard to actually describe how big a chasm of knowledge and understanding there is between McCullough and Christakis. Its literally night and day. If you want to know what’s going on in these peoples heads and how they think, this is probably about as clear and depressing a picture as you’ll find.
If you can’t stand to listen to it all, just jump around and listen to a few minutes hear and there to get the gist of things.

Regarding the interview , it reminds me of a Dirty Harry quote … ” A man’s gotta know his limitations” … unfortunately they don’t.
One of his arguments for kids getting vaccinated was that they could get covid, give it to you, then you could die, and then the kids would be poorer off.
An admission that your vaccine doesn’t work if your kids can infect you.
An extension of the ‘My vaccine won’t work unless you get one too’.

As you say, you already know their points, they generally don’t know yours.
Explain to them that if they don’t know your argument then they cannot argue that their argument is the stronger of the two.
If they don’t know the value of both X and Y then they cannot argue that X is greater than Y.
Be blunt and condescending , openly explain to them that you are using that trick to try to get them to educate themselves.

Jumped around a bit, but the bits I did here were the Dr. repeatedly blaming Trump, talking about his narcissism , and about how there is no evidence that Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine work. As Dr. McCullough said on his Twitter feed, this is information warfare. This new interview which goes against many peer reviewed scientific studies is allowed on YouTube, but the unpopular opinion which is backed by data is removed. We truly do live in Orwellian times.

Here is the slide deck for Ontario’s COVID modelling. There is no serious information in that deck. There is no back-testing their methodology against past history. There is no clear statement of assumptions used as factors within the model. I expect their correlation coefficient is less than the 0.15 that passes for social science research. Utter garbage.

As an example, the vast majority of deaths occur in the 40+ age group. Within that group there may be a relationship between cases and deaths. The relationship is different in younger age groups. Adding more cases from kids means your correlation coefficient goes out the window. What is your methodology? Are you even trying to forecast something here? This is what “Fear Porn” looks like.
