    1. That’s ahistorical. A foolish story used as an excuse to dodge responsibility by blaming your ancestors.

Exactly the same genetic makeup produced a nation that fought two world wars with all-volunteer armies for overseas service, and were recognised as some of the most effective soldiers in existence.

Reality is that we have had it too easy, for too long….. but watch this space.

      1. “That’s ahistorical. ”

Yes, also and obvious joke. Just like the joke that Australian ancestors were all convicts. But feel free to be offended anyway.

        1. Heh….
Sorry if I didn’t assume that you were a joke.
This subject isn’t, and the theme that you quoted is being used in exactly the fashion I stated. We don’t need that.

          1. Peter the Colon needs to be ignored at times. At times he is on target and other times he isn’t.

          2. Peter, VOWG sometimes gets the point, sometimes he doesn’t :p

More seriously, your country and ours and the rest of civilized world are circling down the toilet bowl. The only difference appears to be the direction of the swirl.

      2. I thought australia was settled ,partly at least, by the victims of the Highland clearances? Nova Scotia was also used to resettle them.

        1. Mike…

We had settlers from all over. The biggest wave – for obvious reasons – was during the gold rush era. It absolutely dwarfed the transportation era.

The other common fallacy is the idea that the Australian colonies were regarded as a “dumping ground”. The published material is clear that one of the primary ideas behind it was that ex-convicts who had served their time, could more easily and successfully reintegrate into a colonial society than a traditional settled society with its more rigid class and regional classifications…… and many did.

  1. I am still in awe that a civilized and educated population would allow themselves to essentially all be put under house arrest.

And I have to wonder at how any reasonable leader could expect any Zero Covid program to succeed.

  2. Most people simply aren’t aware. It’s that simple. They don’t have a reason to think that they should be worried.

    1. This.

People see the efforts to disappear “problematic” historical figures and use the inequities of the past to reorganize the present, and think it is all about wokeness.

No, behind all of these surface efforts is their main goal. Real history must be forgotten or replaced by one rewritten by them. The leftists can’t afford to have people learn the lessons actual history would teach them, as those lessons point out the current policies they are proposing lead to failure and/or totalitarianism.

  3. Over 400,000 people at one rally in one city, according to credible estimates.

The first lockdown protest was attended by 70 people. …

    1. More lockdowns are coming , thanks to the fear porn of the ” new variant ” virus Omnicron.
Already men are shouting into phones and action is being taken on banning air travel from Southern Africa.
Gotta get that inflation under control by shutting down the economies of the world.
Where have we seen this movie before.

For too long, too many people assumed that the threat was real and that short-term measures were justified. As we have watched “two weeks to flatten the curve” , turn into something with constantly-moving goalposts, that looks likely to be repeated for any number of other loosely defined and poorly justified reasons, resistance is stiffening.

  5. If you do not force them to fight you physically and inflict damage on them they will continue their evil. Evil has to be physically destroyed.

    1. Bingo.
When some of their enforcers that go out for a day of enforcing don’t come back the message might start to get across.

  6. That article is some leftist drivel. Refugees are not citizens and that distinction is important although human rights are human rights.
Yes camps are nasty, but the alternative we see in places like Canadumb is tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people who are here and will never leave. No matter who you are as long as you get here you can stay. We can barely deport mass murderers from Rwanda let alone MS-13 gang members.
But Wuhan camps is detainment of citizens so that parallels more precisely with Jew internment especially if so many are aboriginals.
    You are tainted-unclean = dangerous.
    Omicron gonna get us now…

  7. Doesn’t take a lot in this country either.
Canadians are all too willing to drop the facade of civilization and release their inner fascist at the latest pretext.
We have a prime minister who uses the same fascist hyperbole when speaking about Canadians who are unvaxed, yet wins an elections, coincidentally by about the same percentage of the vote as a certain Austrian who rose to prominence in the last century, the media and opposition remain silent.
We have, as a country, employed concentration camps twice, not through necessity but through irrational fear and racial prejudice!
Canadians like to imagine themselves as world saviours, when in reality most Canadians couldn’t find their spine with both hands, a skeletal model, and a team of on call 27/7 chiropractors.
No, it won’t take much for concentration camps to be approved and enacted in this country of soy boy wannabes.

    1. Agreed. Nothing so many Canadians don’t enjoy more than their own smug self-righteousness.
Ratting out their neighbor for having 1 guest too many. Complaining because noise is being made by the workers building the condo next to their condo. Voting their children and grandchildren into debt thralldom so they can take nicer vacations. Wanting door delivery of mail even if nobody else gets it. Blind faith the the State has all the answers and will take care of them cradle to grave.
Canadians will make their police carry the bags of Nigerians across the border while fining-excluding a long-time taxpayer for not getting a “vaccine” that doesn’t do much for long. The will of the collective is the narrative.

    2. “… Canadians like to imagine themselves as world saviours, when in reality most Canadians couldn’t find their spine with both hands, …”

      Can’t improve on that.

  8. In the mean time we have 682 reported deaths of people who die shortly after receiving a Jab.

The TGA (who control these things in Australia – tga.gov.au) try to brush off these deaths by saying:

“Large scale vaccination means that some people will experience a new illness or die within a few days or weeks of vaccination. These events are often coincidental, rather than being caused by the vaccine.

The TGA reviews all deaths reported in people who have been recently vaccinated. As the number of people being vaccinated has increased, so has reporting of fatal events with a coincidental association with vaccination. Our review of individual reports and patterns of reporting does not suggest that the vaccines played a role in the vast majority of these deaths.”

So… People die all the time… so… ignore the deaths, but… yeah… we have changed the wording to say ‘vast majority of these deaths’ about a month ago just for reasons… and absolutely NOT because they are changing the fine print to cover themselves from legal claims in the future.

Remember, this is a zero sum game. If the ‘vast majority’ are not deaths related to the Jab, then by extension the ‘small minority’ MAY have been caused by the Jab.

Or, to word it another way, the TGA are casually admitting that yeah, some people have probably been killed by the Jab.

The other point to take away from the TGA reports is that there are 83,000+ REPORTED ‘Adverse Events’ from the Jab. Reported. Strongly suggesting that there are many more people who got ill from the Jab and didn’t bother. I have workmates who admit to this. Felt rubbish day after the jab and went home early the next day. Never reported it. So there are 83,000 reported and highly likely to be significantly more. Indeed one website that TGA linked to in their own reports suggested there was well over a million people jab related ‘illness’ and of those about 1% were so concerned they went to either their GP or hospital emergency. So over 100,000 events that required follow up medical assistance.

If you go home sick because the Jab is making your head spin then is it not ‘Lost Time from Injury’? Is not ‘Lost Time from Injury’ a major KPI for nearly ALL businesses? Strain your back lifting something you should have got assistance and that is a Lost Time incident that needs to be reported. Yet get a Jab that the government insists we need to have and spend the next day in bed? Nah, it’ll be fine!

So, we have 206,000 cases – most of which the ‘victims’ needed to be told they had with ‘tests’, and even then the test to case ratio is still under 1%, yet from the Jab we have between the official 83,000 and the more likely million plus number of people who have been made ill be giving them a ‘Jab’ that DOESN’T EVEN STOP THEM GETTING THE VIRUS.

This is the sort of bollocks that you get when ‘Health Experts’ are allowed to go around telling people you can catch COVID from an AFL football accidentally kicked into the crowd before, after being roundly mocked, back flip by saying they were ‘Clearly tongue in cheek’. Are you actually in your highly paid positions to give useful health advice, or blow smoke up your own ego in front of a tv news report.

TGA admits it can kill you. Government ministers don’t care.

    1. Reports from medical friends are that most Doctors are reluctant to sign the VAE report slip. Doing so too many times will get them labelled an “Anti-vaxxer”….. which is enough to get them hauled before the registration authority to Show Cause why tgey should not be deregisterd.

They have even resorted to telling women with chest pain and breathing difficulties that they are “hysterical”.

  9. Robert, isn’t this putting the cart before the horse? The Jab Nazis could argue the lockdowns are the reason for these low death rates. The Libertarian White Supremists, on the other hand, are arguing the low death count is reason to end the lockdown. Given the poor level of reporting from within the medical community this a stalemate anyway.

    1. There are now forty+ studies showing that lockdowns have had little or no effect upon c19 deaths. There is no correlation at a National level or US-State level, between either severity of lockdown, early lockdown or percentage of population vaccinated.

They “can” argue otherwise, but mot honestly and not with proper methodology. They are still trying to compare realworld observations with the early models which assumed universal vulnerability and exponential case growth until everyone has been ill.

  10. I think the post’s author, Robert, has made a mistake with his link. Australia’s offshore detention camps are a longstanding (and fairly successful) policy to deter huge waves of migrants / people trafficking coming via sea. The left hates them.

Australia’s Covid detention centres are different:

    https://rairfoundation.com/australia-army-forcibly-throws-covid-exposed-citizens-in-quarantine-camps-video/

It’s a (so far) small scale version of what many Asian countries do as standard.

  11. Check out the powers of the medical officer of health in NZ and look at when the last revision was made.

  12. Pay attention – The elites are dipping their toes in totalitarian waters using Australia and New Xiland as lab rats.
If it goes reasonably well expect it to come here with some minor tweaking.

  13. The medical community sanctioned the concentration camps in South Africa during the Boer War.

The medical community sanctioned the concentration camps in Poland during World War II.

It is reasonable to expect the medical community to sanction the concentration camps in Australia during this war on COVID.

    1. It is fair to point out that the largest occupational group amongst Nazi-party members was health workers, and that Joseph Mengele was a doctor.

It’s not fair to point that finger at the Boer War camps.
      1. The Boer War camps were instituted partly as a response to the BOER demands that the British defend Boer noncombatants from (allegedly) marauding blacks.
      2. The same medical conditions that killed old women and young children in those camps, killed more young, fit British soldiers than the Boers did. Battlefield Plagues had been a common part of warfare for the whole of recorded history and the British were still grappling with it in 1900.
      3. Those camps represent the first time in history that the winning side attempted to take significant responsibility for enemy noncombatants. For 10,000 years previously, it was just “too bad, you lost”.
      4. The Boer strategy relied, in part, on making their farms and non-combatants a part of their supply chain. When you do that, your farms are a legitimate military target.
      5. The British supply chain was long, slow and vulnerable to….. attacks by the Boers. The same railways being blown up by Boer Commandos, were the only way to supply food to the camps. Reporting a supply shortage to London would not result in supplies being delivered for weeks.
      6. The situation changed for the better when the BRITISH public became aware of it.

…. the comparison between the Boer War camps and those on Poland is superficial.

  14. We’re there not some questions a short while ago about a government contract request for camp type facilities in Canada? Randy Hillier brought the question up in the Ontario Parliament. Ignored by the mefia as usual.

  15. Many here have an understanding of what is happening. Remember you must also look at the full picture. The mandates alone are bad enough but could possibly be justified under public safety. However , the context is totally lost when you consider the silencing of critics , the control of speech through legislation and cancel culture ,outright lying, coercion ,threats ,detainment, fines +++. The bottom line is many have not suffered under what has happened and simply choose to not see a problem. Meanwhile , the government is destroying our economy and monetary system in their pursuit of the great reset . The strange thing is they are outright saying what they want to do and the majority don’t believe it or don’t care. I am considered a nutbar by friends and most family for even mentioning any of it. So what can I do. Well I think i will donate to Kate and the Rebel news. At least it’s a start.

    1. Concerned.

“..The strange thing is they are outright saying what they want to do and the majority don’t believe it or don’t care…”

Something I’ve railed against for 2 decades….. 9 times outa 10 ya just get this Vacant blank look…and then their eyes roll over a half dozen times as the “drone” in front of you “reboots” his system…eyes open, and off they go completely oblivious – definition of 90+% of Canadians today.

A Nationwide Screaming will commence in (or not..?) ~ 6 months from now….or earlier as they Willfully murder our Children….

Anyone still have doubts as to what and who is doing this…??? A continuation of 1930’s, German Eugenics policy now being applied to greater Humanity…..by the very same folks who financed their Initial cpl Attempts. WWI – WWII.
