Wondering Kate if you’ve considered restrictions on user names? (i.e. limiting to perhaps only 1 or 2 per email addy , registering, if you will). It’s pretty obvious that many posters are making comments under different handles and it would be useful to know who is who, and if they are posting comments only to troll or stir up shit. A known identity would certainly be a help in analyzing any comments and outing trolls.
There’s a simple form of authentication that doesn’t require registration or passwords or anything.
You may have seen those avatars that look like coloured QR codes on other sites. They’re generated from a seed number. Different seed, completely different looking avatar. All Kate needs to do is put a poster’s handle + email address into a one-way hash function and use the result as the seed to the avatar generator. Same handle and email address will always produce the same avatar, but it’s not possible to reverse engineer a poster’s email address from the avatar. Preserves poster privacy, but makes it immediately obvious if someone is aping another poster because the avatars won’t match.
Oh Please …. Seriously, go find a site of your own, Snaggly, and make up your own rules. What do you want? To “out” “trolls” (ie people you do not agree with), look them up and flame them? Were you born without an “IGNORE” button?

I just wanted to avoid any hurt feelings by letting folks know in advance that I won’t be posting on any celebrations of reconciliation day threads.
Been seeing a lot of comments that seem fake. Something off. Like a bot or children or just someone spouting nonsense. Trying to sound like something an sda reader would say but more like a liberal’s idea of what one would say
You mean those posts about there being a hidden army of patriots about to unleash terrible vengeance on globalists?
The usual tell when somebody is here to be hall monitor is that they can’t resist turning a against b, so they drop a few bread crumbs of mild support for one position in a debate and trash another position. Or they mention that the weather in Ottawa is unusual for time of year.

Nothing but gratitude that Kate makes this place exist.
She knows who’s who because the handle is shown but she can compare it to the hidden email address to see if someone is spoofing someone else. Those who do that are the lowest form of life.
