  5. I’ve sent reams of data from highly reputable sources to friends who are ostensibly conservative but highly fearful of covid. They remain completely unhinged and supportive of mandates, passports and really any draconian measure even a Liberal gov’t supports.

    Their fear of death trumps their curtailment of life. We’re in our later years and I deeply resent every day I’m forced to comply, thereby lessening the value of every day we may have left.

    BTW, since Bonnie Henry reinstated the stupid mask restriction, I’ve entered every public space maskless. I’ll put on my black crow-like plague mask just to mock them, if asked – but most often I’m not. I’d encourage everyone to go to your local ‘party store’ and buy a cheap plastic character mask, like a Porky Pig or Super-hero, just to mock the true believers as well.

  6. In a Manitoba Court Case Chief Microbiologist stated that 56% of positive cases are not infectious cause cell cultures in the lab from patient sample will not grow the virus. A bit older from May 11th but it must be true cause experts lie in their publications and on TV but never in front of the judge who is the only entity who could hold them accountable.

    1. Oh, it’s much, much worse than that. Check the actual testimony. The live cell cultures were done on PCR test samples that were run at a cycle count of 18. Increasing cycle counts mean a logarithmic increase in detectable viral load. And the same witness testified that the cycle count used by Manitoba was between 30 and 40. Without more data points it’s impossible to fit the curve, but back-of-the-cocktail-napkin calculations mean the false positive rate of Manitoba’s tests has to be between 65% and 93%.

        1. Step-dad was diagnosed with arthritis. I told him “Good, that means you can by Hydroxychloroquine as a prophyaxis and it will help protect you from Coronavirus, my mom has been on it for the last 8 years”. His reaction was a 10 minute blithering denunciation of how stupid and evil Trump is, and how anything favoured by Trump must be bad. I told him “Trump breaths Oxygen, does that mean you’re going to stop?” Another 5 minute tirade about how mean and stupid Trump supporters are.

    3. I think the fact that 75 % of Ontario residents live less than 100 miles from a border with the USA or a major airport where they can fly almost anywhere. Ontario also has a large immigrant population especially in Ottawa and the GTA, those people regularly fly to visit relatives in their former home countries. This is why a vaccine passport is receiving acceptance by a large part of the Ontario population. As other countries accept the proposal that vaccine passports will be a requirement for international travel the more necessary they will become to the travelling public. On Aug. 21st Trudeau opened Canadas border to vaccinated US citizens however Biden declined to allow Canadians to enter the US with or without proof of vaccination, so who really caved here? Vaccinated Americans are allowed to enter Canada but a Vaccinated Canadian is still not allowed to enter the USA. Doug Ford was the guy that said fair is fair and we need bi-lateral agreements while Trudeau slinked of and hid out off camera range!

      1. Don’t yield the lexical ground or you yield the field. It is not a “vaccine passport” it is a pass without which you cannot buy a loaf of bread, meet friends, get on a bus or see a hockey game. You don’t need your passport to watch a movie at the cinema.

  11. It’s awesome to see a total disconnection between positive Covid cases and mortality and that the decrease in mortality is following a long term linear decline. The funny thing is that if vaccines are actually making a significant difference in mortality wouldn’t there be a different shape to the trend? Like a trend shape that resembles a bit of a step change when the most vulnerable were vaccinated early in the spring? To me it looks like the population most vulnerable to dying from SARS-COV2 is simply being depleted. Am I wrong?
