    1. This is f***ing embarrassing.And the situation here in the frozen North is even worse. An acquaintance in the military said we would be hard pressed to field 30 fighters and 50 tanks.

      And we probably have lots of “two mommies” in our armed forces, but not in charge of the Patriot missiles we don’t have. The Chinese video showed more military equipment and men than we’ve had combined for the last fifty years.

      Was that the Chengdu J-20 or the Chinese version of the Mig-29,they were on-off screen so fast I couldn’t tell.

      We’ve come along way from our glory days in WW2, and mostly down hill. We may have to hire Russian or Chinese Generals to run our forces though as all our officers above Captain seem to be awaiting trial for sex related charges. Which language is easier to learn,Mandarin or Russian? We took French in high school but I don’t know if our Russian and Chinese officer corps speak that language.

  3. Well, I’m 74 and did my 4 years in the US Army a long time, ago, but if the Navy gets to the point of an all-gal nuclear submarine needing a token man or two, I will re-enlist. My son and grandsons are also willing to give the Navy a try under those circumstances.

  6. The Roman Empire fell. One could argue that the barbarians who conquered the Romans were, in many ways, better people. The Romans were effete and fat and lazy and decadent. The barbarians cut through the crap, and, as everyone was forced to go back to hand-to-mouth existence, the decadence disappeared for centuries.
    Strong and smart people can rebuild from the collapse of a civilization. Those of us who see what’s happening … we just might be ok. We can adapt and survive.
    All the poncing and mincing about, and effete behavior, and the authoritarian “cancelling” of decent people that the decadent class indulges in right now, will disappear in a flash if the West is destroyed and a militant, masculine China or Russia or South America dominates. Let’s just keep our loved ones close and do our best to survive.

Because I have never been so dispirited by anything or any system until now, until I’ve experienced life under woke awfulness, lies, corruption and evil. I currently live near a city that’s being destroyed before my eyes by wokeness. I’ve given up on the West.

    1. Russia will gladly accept Westerners who share their values, will learn the language and culture, commit to preserving Holy Mother Russia come what may, love country, family, and hard work, and above all, are thoroughly comfortable living in a country with a state Church.

      There has been an explosion of Orthodox Christian revivalism and worship, the economy has been forced by sanctions to become largely self-sufficient, and apart from the occasional leftist Europhile rent-a-mob (and the cops beat the shite outta those twats on a regular basis), the country is basically united.

      It is a country that rewards nation, religion, culture and honour.

  28. My cousin much older than I, fought the Chinese in Korea for 3 years, from start to finish. He was Reg. Sgt Major of the Canadian Black Watch. He never talked about it. But many years ago, an Australian vet came on a job I was on. He was in Korea. He was very messed up still with PTSD. His outfit had been overrun by the Chinese. He said they came in waves and climbed over their own dead to get at the Aussies. He said they just kept coming like robots no matter how many they killed. His trench was over run, and he lay in the bottom of the trench, under the dead bodies of Aussies and Chinese, he said he drank putrid water from the bottom of the trench and finally started eating human flesh at night. 10-14 days the Chinese were pushed back again but his mind was cracked. After telling us the story, he was gone never returned to work. Very broken man. Very crazy eyes.
    Don’t think Emma would make it very far.

  30. You want to see a proud military? Watch Russia’s annual Victory Day (May 9) parades on YouTube. Every major city in Russia has one, together with a March of the Immortals remembering the war dead. Whatever you think of Putin, he revived Russian national pride and belief in themselves.

  32. Unpopular opinion:

    In a hot war between the West and China, the West loses (attrition is a thing, even with their long supply lines). In a nuclear war with China, nobody wins, except maybe Russia. Even then, they may have sufficient anti-missile capabilities to blunt any such attack. But the West will cease to exist in any meaningful way with either course of action.
