    1. I like how one reposed the question as follows;
“Will you give up your body and privacy to the government in order to get their permission to participate in the economy?”

    2. Vac passports being tied to opening up makes no sense, since the vaccinations do not prevent transmission– or at least are not claimed to. It is getting harder and harder to live in a world with so many nutty people.

      1. Yeah, but you’re a thinking person, not a “muh house and dope is legal” folk. I’ll probably have to get vaccinated to go for my Cancer treatments at the hospital, despite being “immune compromised” by design.
        Catch 22.

        1. PO.d…I honestly dont the Vast Majority of vacuous morons in this country fit your description oh “muh house n huh dope”.

Just the opposite in fact..it’s yer everyday person over 45 that has bought in hook line n sinker to the Full on SCAM Being perpetrated here. A quick walk through Can Tire or Home depot should confirm that…or drive through downtown Calgary…

      2. Incorrect.

“when the vaccines were studied in macaque monkeys (during preclinical testing), they did eliminate asymptomatic infection — researchers swabbed the vaccinated macaques’ noses and found little or no virus. Second, the types of antibodies that are stimulated by most systemic vaccines (IgG and IgA) do tend to block viral infection in the nose (and no viral load in the nose most likely translates to no transmission). Finally, when monoclonal antibodies are given to COVID-19 patients, those antibodies reduce the viral load throughout the respiratory tract, including the nose.

The most convincing evidence, though, is just starting to emerge among real-world data. In Israel, where more than 90% of those age 60 and over have been vaccinated, “cases have plummeted in this population,””

        https://www.aamc.org/news-insights/6-myths-about-covid-19-vaccines-debunked

        #2

        1. Of course cases have plummeted, because they are dying. Israel ranks #1 in excess deaths out of 26 countries over the last 5 weeks, despite having the majority of their 70+ population fully vaccinated before this period.
Data is from Eurormomo. Countries with negative excess are shown as 0 https://twitter.com/TedPetrou/status/1375112823731281923?s=20
Antibody Dependent Enhancement or ADE following injection by Pfizer vaccines.

    3. Perhaps it would be better to make people who have not been vaccinated wear a patch on their clothes (say a red needle or something similar) so that those who have been vaccinated can avoid them. Then they can be placed in certain blocked off parts of cities, for their own good, while waiting to be shipped to “covid camps” where they can work to set themselves free.

    1. In this age of cultural appropriation, shouldn’t 200-year-old ingredients be used?

    1. I call it extinction point in evolution of a specific species.
Research people, do your research and not by government approved sources!
Species bodies adapt or become extinction and other adapted species take over.
Can’t go in space as our bodies evolution reverses.

Massive water loss (not considered by scientists or education) over our billions of years forces species to land as over population runs amuck. Water too changes as minerals interact and evaporation condenses chemicals. At some point the environment becomes more and more toxic to extinction.
Research people and stop listening to the Fake News.

    1. Lol.
Bill off the record: “The best way to empower a woman is to give them a job.”

      1. Heh. Lol! But it took me a few seconds to get it. Best smile to start the day.

      2. Clinton: “The best way to empower a woman is for them to give you a job.”

      1. Actually, it does.
Our species poisoned ourselves with fossil fuels.
Pour any of these on a plant and they die rather quickly.
We’ve also created many other nasty chemicals and nuclear exposure.

        1. Pile fertilizer of any kind 2″ deep on a plant and it dies rather quickly. Eat 20,000 calories a day and you die really quickly. When we miss a dog doo on the lawn we find it a week later by the halo of the richest grass in the lawn around the doo, with a little stunted grass right under it. Ditto oil spills, the periphery has a food source, the middle has too much until a lot of it is broken down. Or are you going to say that Alaska is still sterile because of the Exxon Valdez?

Starvation was the biggest problem for most of human history and pre-history. Stop making up things and saying they’re as bad as trying to live with severely limited resources.

          1. Okay, where did our fossil fuels come from?
            How were they created?
It is ancient evolution that we should have never tapped into as it was not designed for future species to use.
            It is a poison.
Grab a swig if you don’t believe me.

    1. The change in the alphabet tendency from a legitimate request that an adult’s private life is irrelevant to their participation in the public space three decades later has become an aggressive recruiting manouevre for non reproductive lifestyles from toddlers up, using our shared political and cultural space against dissenters. Alphabet friends who long ago were accepted and just got on with their lives are now entering childless retirement and actively resent children, or the notion that sexuality let alone gender fantasy should be restricted to adult spaces. Their concern for and investment in the future is restricted to the remaining span of their lives.

      1. ” Their concern for and investment in the future is restricted to the remaining span of their lives.”

        Damn right!

    2. Because kids suck and having them ruins your life. Abstaining from parenthood is what intelligent people do, and that lack of children lets them do things they otherwise could not, like assuming leadership positions.

  1. Loved the irrigation dog video ….

When I was a kid on the farm we would go swimming and our dog would dive down about 2 feet in the river , pick up rocks in its mouth , and pile them on shore.

Nobody trained him to do it and we had no explanation why he did it , but was sure neat to watch.

Most of the rocks were about 4 inches in diameter and he was able to swim them to shore …. but once in a while picked a larger rock … because of the weight he could not keep his head above water very long so he would drop it , take a minute to catch his breath , dive down and move it a couple of more feet until he reached shore

And he piled them neatly in one spot in a roughly pyramid style …. if we had video cameras in those days it would have gone viral.

  2. Another guilty, white liberal has been outed as a fake Injun, defrauding Canadian taxpayers….

    https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/vancouver-arts-curators-indigenous-ancestry-claims-panned-as-pretendian

“Cheyanne Turions declined to be interviewed, but referred Postmedia to her blog, where she writes that a recent review of historical sources shows no documentation to corroborate family claims to Indigenous ancestry. She has amended her bio from “mixed Indigenous-settler” to “settler,” and told Postmedia she is “continuing to learn.” ”

I could “continue to learn” too if I received a $73,000 Canada Council grant and a $30,000 Ontario Arts Council grant. I guess some of us are more equal than the others.

“In recent years, prominent authors such as Joseph Boyden and Gwen Benaway, and more recently former UBC professor Amie Wolf, have been at the centre of “pretendian” allegations.”

“Simon Fraser University said in a statement to Postmedia that Turions is still employed by the university, and “was hired based on her experience in the art community, not her ancestry,” and that the grants in question were received before her employment at the university.”

    1. Hey Chris. So, this woman can, in this present society, self identify as a man. She can also have surgery to closely resemble a man, on the outside anyways. So why not self identify as a whiny Indian? If she had the experience to do the job and there were no other viable candidates with her experience, why not let her carry on?

      1. The whole situation is stupid and illogical.
First of all, our taxes have been set aside for only certain people (Indigenous), the government who then gains control of these funds can’t properly vet the people who are given the funds, fraudsters see this and then rip-off the useless stupid government program, the people whom this money are supposed to help (indigenous) are pissed off that outsiders are “stealing” the funds (funds that have, arguably, been “stolen” from non-Indigenous).

Even when rackets like this work properly no one is happy. Those who are excessively taxed are pissed off. The people who supposedly benefit are never happy because they believe they are never given enough. The government is never happy because both groups complain to it, so they keep coming up with new, maddening, and increasingly useless programs to keep the complainers happy.

  3. Chinese Communist Party continues to manufacture discontent in Trudeau’s Canada…

    https://twitter.com/HeikyKwan/status/1374773583377960964

A rally will be held this weekend in Vancouver to protest against supposed Anti-Asian racism and hate. It is being organized by a mysterious group called the Asian Canadian Equity Alliance (ACEA). Former Richmond, BC mayoral candidate and disgrace lawyer Hong Guo is a founder of this organizing group. She is also “famous” for asserting that “there is no human rights abuse in China.”

“BUT, no one in the community have heard about these folks before or aware they were doing work to unravel systemic racism.”

Something to keep in mind as we hear breathless mainstream media reports later this weekend of “brave” progressive Canadians “standing up to” and “fighting against” the “scourge of anti-Asian racism.”

  4. .

Another “intelligent dog story” …. I am convinced they have a sixth sense that we do not fully understand.

My father retired , rented out his farm , bought a house in our small city …. kids grown up and gone …. all he had left was our Shepherd dog for companionship. Dog preferred to sleep all day in the front room where dad would sit and watch TV or whatever.

My brother-in-law Scott would occasionally take a recreational trip to the farm and always dropped by to pick up the dog and take it with him …. the dog loved it of course.

But here is the thing …. dad would say that 10 minutes before Scott arrived the dog would be at the front door excited and whining and wagging his tail expectantly … it is like he “knew” Scott was coming.

At first we attributed it to the dog recognizing the sound of Scott’s truck coming down the street …. however it was a new truck (quiet running) , and a short , busy street with lots of traffic so we ruled that out.

Long story short , dad and Scott began to compare notes …. typically Scott would have a day off , do his home chores , cut the grass etc , then on the spur of the moment decide to take a trip to the farm , he would make note of the time and dad also would make note of the time the dog went to the door ….. they reconciled exactly …. in other words the dog “knew” the moment Scott made his decision , and then sat at the door while Scott drove from the other side of town.

True story , and it continued to happen for all the years afterward until the dog passed from old age.

  5. Try to imagine how much more obscene it would have been had Trump appointed the head of the Russian-American Business Council to lead his transition team and assist in the appointment of his first cabinet ministers, then secured the guy a key Senate seat so he could serve as the Trump administration’s fixer in Congress. Imagine he’d then named a Republican time-server who’d taken $73,000 in free trips to Moscow as his ambassador to Russia.

Then imagine Trump entering into free trade talks with the Kremlin, and negotiations for an extradition treaty, then gets caught in scandalous “cash for access” imbroglios involving Russian oligarchs partying with senior Republican Party operatives, with sacks of rubles dropped off at the Trump Foundation just to add some colour to the story.

And then a conniption erupts over the arrest of a Muscovite heiress in an international fraud and sanctions-evasion case going back to the early days of the Obama administration, and Trump’s ambassador publicly takes Russia’s side over the strenuous objections of the State Department — twice — and Trump reluctantly ditches the guy only after his Secretary of State says “either he goes or I go.” And so a new ambassador is chosen, pre-approved by the Kremlin, who refuses to enumerate or name the Russian oligarchs he’d worked for while he was heading up the Russian and Eastern Europe operations for the global management consulting firm McKinsey and Company.

And then imagine that the new ambassador’s his wife runs the Russian operations for the global asset-management firm, BlackRock Inc.

None of this happened in the United States, of course.
Instead, it’s exactly what has happened in Canada.
In all of the above, replace Trudeau for Trump, China for Russia, Huawei chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou for the Muscovite heiress.

    2. This is only the tip of the iceberg – what is readily apparent to those out on the seas looking. The unseen part is buried in the realm of business and perhaps even some military collusion.

    1. For once I’m in total agreement with a politician. Never thought I’d say that…ever!

    2. Amir Attaran deserves push-back. He is a trouble maker. I agree with Quebec in this case. Ezra did a profile on him on Sun TV many years ago when he was making noise about the Afghan detainees. If I remember he was taking advantage of some subsidized housing situation. I don’t think Attaran has principles. He just likes getting attention by exploiting controversy.

    3. Attaran’s claim about Quebec racism is essentially true. By far the most racist part of Canada. The religious symbols law was basically a backhand to religious minorities.

  6. FOX News is reporting this morning, as its most prominent story, that Hishonor Governor Cuomo had received preferential treatment, as to China virus tests, at the start of the pandemic last year. (The story emerges given good investigative reporting by an Albany newspaper). What’s worse, the early preferential treatment was extended to Hishonor’s family, including luv brother Cris.

Needless to say , FOX News is making hay over the CNN Cris Cuomo connection. One would think CNN Cris is now on shaky ground. The U.S. media cartel, some weeks ago, turned 180 degrees on Hishonor Cuomo, given his extensive heterosexual activity. Luv brother Chris is now a liability at CNN with that and his early brotherly virus test. One would think, CNN CEO Zucker is a liability at the moribund network as well, with its tanking viewership and laughingstock reputation.

Look for a major shakeup at CNN soon. The ownership couldn’t be that stupid to keeping things as they are

  7. Blacklock reports that taxpayers will not get a refund for 700 million dollars worth of ventilators that China Patty ordered, and are now sitting in warehouses. And the federal government is considering blocking websites for public safety reasons.

  8. The signs are ominous, the breathless one is handing out “Covid” bucks big time and will dramatically find more vaccines shortly, election is nigh.

    1. Thanks for the bad news Mike. If there was ever a reason to get the Phony lying Liberal government out of office, this is it. The phony little prick trudeau will cripple the entire economy with this bullshit “carbon tax”. We will be spending everything we have on vehicle fuel, heating fuel, farming fuel etc. etc.

      1. Liberals are not going anywhere, unfortunately. Many of the people on this very comment board have bailed on the only party that has chance at defeating Trudeau. Maybe Max can win one or two seats in the next Liberal majority Parliament.

  9. This is a comment from alert observer in today’s Calgary Herald.
It would be instructive to check it out.

    “Target the offenders

Note the observation of the letter writer and how the media cartel have reported it.
Of course its not a surprise for obfuscation, leaving out the truth, omitting relevant information, out of context is the trade mark of those that they call “journalists”.

    1. He done…
Crossed over to the dark side of adding more policies and restrictions that is decimating our economies.
And Billions of future debt that will be massive as the interest accumulates higher and higher.
But hey, the media has another friendly politician to leach from.

  11. And now your Canadians are racist bastards story for today. Blackie’s CBC is outraged that the B.C. government won’t allow a whiny Indian to register her business in a dead Indian language. A tearful Blackie must call for a ten year, sixty million dollar inquiry into this act of genocide. Break out the feathers, drums, and chants to the sacred tree frog.

  12. I wonder if these stupid lefties realize that not one red cent of the carbon tax goes to fight climate change, it simply goes into general revenue to be pissed away by an incompetent government
