  1. Is burning a city council member’s house down considered a misdemeanor? Asking for a friend.

    1. That app seems to work for the city council, at least as far as elections go.. Gonna be a place to watch nxt week.. Can’t wait for the election. Maybe Christmas at my house.. For me at least.. My house partner HATEs the Donald. Makes for firey shopping trips.

  2. coupled with…I think it was Portland….that made stealing/shoplifting less than $900…a ticket

  3. Me: “Trump 2020! Ivanka Trump 2024!”

    Seattle: “You’re mentally ill!”

Me: “I’m glad you agree! Now give me your wallet.”

  4. Don’t remember which one of those left coast cities it was, but in one of them, these exempt scofflaws have led to the creation of a thriving business of reselling stolen goods by means of Ebay, Amazon etc. Not only is the law catering to the situation but liability fears have retailers instructing their staff not to intervene when witnessing thievery. Such is the progressive way.

    1. L-That applies to 3 major national chain stores in my prairie city, too. If it’s under $5,000.00 the courts don’t take it seriously. So the Rule of Law does not apply anymore, and the stores are afraid of social media backlash if security was caught on a smart phone apprehending a thief. So that cost is just passed on, hurting mostly the lower income shoppers.

Thieves are so bold, it’s as if they are running a protection racket. Maybe, they are with the Supremes siding with the “oppressed”.

  5. A 3 second .gif made from a short cut of the Martin Short, Chevy Chase movie “The Three Amigos” that someone posted in that thread was hidden as “sensitive and potentially offensive”. F*ck off, Twitter.

  6. Is there a hallucinogenic in the Pacific Ocean? Seems like the entire West Coast from Californicate to BC should separate from this planet and move to an alternative dimension of Unicornfartland.

  7. Oh-oh Vancouver is going to be mad, Seattle are trying to compete in the loony-tunes stakes.

  8. The Summer of Love turns into a Fall from reality, and a dark-dark winter. A Fall where it is illegal to gather family indoors for Thanksgiving … and a Winter without Christmas.

Every Democrat who still claims affiliation to that party is a raging Marxist lunatic.

  9. Why should I care again? Give me a sound bite or two from a few residents who are appalled by what’s going on in their fair city and you might… just might, bring me back. Cause hey…sometimes people get a little crazy when they vote. Alberta and the NDP comes to mind.
But as it stands…I haven’t heard jack shit.
    So I don’t care.

  10. Ok, why would the principle of being liable for crimes despite being nuts, drunk or poor – or any combination of the three – not apply to misdemeanours? Explain your reasoning dumb liberals, as this seems capricious and arbitrary.
If you understand right and wrong you are responsible for your actions, period.

    1. … and if you don’t understand then you need to be restrained and who ever let you out should be held responsible.

  11. I’m trying to figure out what kind of residents vote in politicians who seem heckbent on destroying their city. Don’t they sometimes tell themselves “Political correctness be buggered. I want to live in a neighbourhood without hookers, pushers, junkies, alcoholics, schizophrenics, homeless people, used condoms, needles, feces, graffiti, abandoned buildings, and rioting.”?

    1. Typically, voter turn-out in Local/Municipal elections is even lower than national or state.
Maybe Dems fix the Local elections, till eventually voters give up trying to elect responsible people into office. I mean, some of these cities have been run by democrats for 30, 40 even more than 50 bloody years !
Maybe rigging Local elections, are just training ground for the big State and Presidential elections.

  12. I’m living in one of Canada’s nicest areas (Van. Island) and am having e-mail discussions with our mayor and councilors. Two years ago, they built ‘temporary housing’ for our ‘tent city’ denizens. Nice ATCO style trailers with air/con, fencing and 24 hr. security to keep them safe and comfortable. I asked at that time what council intended to do with the next batch to pitch their tents and got no answer. Now there’s another 100 tents down by city hall.

On another note, some dough-head was spray painting inside a local Timmy’s and the cops were called. While the RCMP guy was investigating, the perp was standing on the cop’s cruiser, spray painting the windshield. The cop attempted to take him into custody, but not before the perp sprayed down the side of the cruiser for good measure. Crystal meth was found in the guy’s back back and he was released to appear in February. Good luck with that.

So his spray painting a business AND a cop car was a result of his meth use, so he is in fact, a victim. Not like the guy who drank a bit too much and got pulled over driving, who is obviously criminally liable and will bear the full weight of the law. If you fall into one of the ‘victim groups’ you’re pretty much ‘get out of jail free’ here.

  13. There’s something about the air or diet near the Pacific Ocean that turns people into mental patients. I’ve noticed my own thought processes clearing up considerably now that I’m repositioned inland far enough to escape the ions and the salmon.

It certainly knows no borders. I suspect that the chemical balance of the atmosphere changes thought processes (seriously). The natives who lived here before the whites and Asians arrived were crazy too. The salmon must be particularly good transmitters of the insanity, as many live on a high salmon diet in these parts. Perhaps also the disappearance of the landscape behind the cloud and fog for months at a time leads to mental problems.

It’s a bad combination, having a large street population of mentally ill people governed by mentally ill councils and local governments. The few citizens who somehow remain immune get it from both sides.

“Let’s put a bunch of crazy looking faces on a big high pole.”

That was where it all started, methinks.

  14. The giant sucking sound that you hear is the business and individual taxpayers of Seattle leaving as quickly as possible.

  15. Thug behavior just received its wet dream reward…a Get Out of Jail Free Card. I would guess 90% of the entire population can cash in because of mental illnesses.

  16. keep it up there leftoids.
and turn your city into a simulation of nuclear attack..

    (thats what they want!!!)

  17. Years ago, in a grocery store, you handed the clerk your list, you waited while he collected the items, you then paid for the items, then you got the items.
Anyone remember Consumers Distributing? Similar mode for general shopping.
I can see a return to this form of shopping.
Bread lines anyone??? Actually, the lefist preferred shopping mode, standing in lines, waiting for non existent products.

  18. Sure glad I visited Seattle seven years ago. If I was traveling down the west coast now, I would give that crap hole a pass (I already did that to Portland in 2013).

  19. So if that passes, you can get out of your DUI by claiming that you are addicted to alcohol?

What, indeed, could possibly go wrong?
