Here come da judges.
The Manitoba Bar Association has an even stronger reaction to the Glenn Joyal leaks (he is that province's top judge).
"Entirely improper, and indeed false" assertions in the media about Joyal overturning LGBT/abortion rules "is most appalling." Leak "demeans" process. pic.twitter.com/dcb7dQk2mb— Dylan Robertson (@withfilesfrom) March 27, 2019
More – Welcome to the Tet offensive of Charter rights: This was the week it became necessary to destroy the village of good government in order to save it.

For the left facts don’t matter. A lie repeated often enough becomes the truth.
Even it if doesn’t become the truth the repeated lie shapes perceptions about issues and or people.
And they would not want a judge from the west, if the SOC was “negotiating” after a separation referendum…
In George Orwell‘s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, the Ministry of Truth is Oceania‘s propaganda ministry. It is responsible for any necessary falsification of historical events. The word truth in the title Ministry of Truth should warn, by definition, that the “minister” will self-serve its own “truth”; the title implies the willful fooling of posterity using “historical” archives to show “in fact” what “really” happened. As well as administering truth, the ministry spreads a new language amongst the populace called Newspeak, in which, for example, truth is understood to mean statements like 2 + 2 = 5 when the situation warrants.
The Ministry of Truth is involved with news media, entertainment, the fine arts and educational books. Its purpose is to rewrite history to change the facts to fit Party doctrine for propaganda effect. For example, if Big Brother makes a prediction that turns out to be wrong, the employees of the Ministry of Truth go back and rewrite the prediction so that any prediction Big Brother previously made is accurate. This is the “how” of the Ministry of Truth’s existence. Within the novel, Orwell elaborates that the deeper reason for its existence is to maintain the illusion that the Party is absolute. It cannot ever seem to change its mind (if, for instance, they perform one of their constant changes regarding enemies during war) or make a mistake (firing an official or making a grossly misjudged supply prediction), for that would imply weakness and to maintain power the Party must seem eternally right and strong.
This is exactly why the CBC, and tax payer funding for all media, meaning TV, radio, newsprint, and art must end. They have all become propaganda tools and parasites.
1984 is Justin’s favourite book
“1984 is Justin’s favourite book”
Well I’ll be damned. I didn’t know it came out as a colouring book.
Can he read? Comprehension might be a stretch, unless someone explains it to him JMO.
Zoolander learned his Komsomol at Uncle Fidel’s knee. He dint need no steen-keen book.
(sides: I heard he ate crayons so he wasn’t allowed them)
Prinz Dummkopf reminds me of the character of Rimmer from the BBC series Red Dwarf.
Rimmer was a complete prat who thought he knew it all and always ended up doing dumb things, at least in the episodes that I watched. Even when the character was alive, he was disliked. (“Sir, he called me a smeghead!” “Rimmer, Rimmer, that’s because you are a smeghead!”)
I’m waiting to see Prinz Dummkopf appear in public with a letter “H” in the middle of his forehead, much like Rimmer’s holograph.
First season, true. But he did learn to be more human, just like Kryten (just don’t ask to see his double Polaroid).
The CBC has been “Social Engineering” since their wunderkind became Prime Minister….and I’m not talking about our current PM Dipshit…
Like judges would ever do anything to limit government (ie. their own power).
Whoever the peon was that leaked this could theoretically be in trouble under the Security of Information Act. Of course under Section 24 of the Act, the Attorney General’s office has to sign off on any prosecution…
If you want rule of law back, you have to get out.
https://prairiefreedom.ca/jointhefight.html
There is no ‘rule of law” in this increasingly absurd nation… lets hope the whole nightmare ends soon and that Justine finishes off what his mentally deranged Father and the Liberal Party began… some things are just too far gone to fix and Turdopia is a corrupt morally adrift basket case, much like the asshole that imposed it… Love the Liberal two-step regarding Peeairs demented Charter too, never ever question the infallible wisdom of those special few judges appointed to interpret (make shit up) the Trudeau Charter unless they interpret it in a way the Liberals don’t like. All Supreme Court Interpreters must be card carrying Trudopians or else they’re, “unfit” to interpret how the nation will be dictated to. Also, Katie Telford op-ed writers = Glen MacGregor CTV, Joan Bryden CBC. Sad.
“There is no ‘rule of law” in this increasingly absurd nation… some things are just too far gone to fix and Turdopia is a corrupt morally adrift basket case, much like the asshole that imposed it.”
The arseholes who imposed it fall into two categories:
(a) That large, ovine portion of the electorate, largely urban, whose expectations of government can be accurately and completely summed up in two words: me, and now
(b) A cowardly, effete Conservative Party that consistently refuses to make the case for an alternative to the status quo
…(b) A cowardly, effete Conservative Party that consistently refuses to make the case for an alternative to the status quo….
Because they too Bend the Knee to the Quebec Corporate Cabal of Corruption AKA: Power Corp
They’re ALL Eastern Ass kissin Liberals…IMO.
They bend the knee to get votes from (a). And if the election and re-election of politicians like Nenshi and Notley is any indicator, the sheep per capita index in Edmonton and Calgary is not a lot different from that in Trawna or Halifax.
News of fresh disasters. Another bad week for Trudeau, and it’s only Wednesday morning. What can’t continue, won’t.
Whatever one thinks of the judicial system (I’m with the majority around here who think it’s way too much of a closed shop), the leak of Justice Joyal’s information demonstrated terrible judgment at least and at best. I actually sometimes feel a bit embarrassed for them (not very often).
Stonewalling on this item, on the PMO knowing about a difference of opinion within the PPSC on a DFA for SNC-Lavalin (lots of alphabet soup!) and on letting Wilson-Raybould and Philpott testify, etc. won’t work (not that I want them to quit, as it’s absolutely killing them).
Of course, they’re all hot and bothered and betwixt and between on whether to kick to ladies out of caucus, which is a side-show and non-issue, although I do like it that Sheila Copps has re-emerged from the depths to stick her nose into that one (the more harm done the better).
The downward trajectory for the Liberals has no chance of changing until all of the information comes out (which it will, regardless of their resistance). If they are afraid of that eventuality, then the only advice I can offer them is to change their leader now and prepare for eight years in the wilderness.
Agreed.
It also helps that Liberal stalwarts like Warren Kinsella and long time Liberal fa*t catchers and media scribes like Paul Wells and Andrew Coyne are speaking out about the corruption.
They are catching up. We all knew the Boy was not ready and that he was someone’s puppet.
So suddenly…it’s news??
None of this surprises me.
I still don’t have faith in the electorate…they are focused on the latest toys and the Tube, and saving the planet.. And Trudeau is so pretty.
Ken and bluetech:
There’s another point I would make (tentatively, to be sure, as it all still hangs in the balance, but it surprises me, nonetheless, by which I do not mean anything derogative to our people):
The CPC, as a result of this enduring episode, has begun to look like a government-in-waiting, while the Trudeau Liberals have begun to look shrunken and small, to the point, even, of looking like a small-minded “old boys’ club” (no descriptor could possibly be more damaging, particularly in this day and age).
This is certainly the view at my place, where it’s just me and Harry the Rottweiler vs. three highly-educated and successful women (me and Harry have no chance, I can assure you).
So, honestly, Lisa Raitt, Candice Bergen and Michelle Rempel have filled out the canvas very persuasively. This development will not be lost on a great many people.
Yes, those three ladies have certainly been carrying the ball well.
Look the Liberals have been in power in Canada for 75% of the history of Canada since 1867. All judges are basically Liberal/Leftwing. Including the useless SCOC. They have tinkered so long that they have lost the right to govern and the right to judge those who are governed without their consent.
Does no one in Canada understand about Freedom and Liberty and the Consent of the Governed.
Bastiat called it Voluntary Servitude.
Who knows how long Canadians will suffer under this tyranny.
Even a sheep in the loading chute going to the slaughterhouse, has been known to turn in the chute at the end and fight.
The old Liberal Canadian Motto. “Peace Order and Good Government”
Never Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death.
Just remember that when the Government who are sick and tired of being criticized on the internet, get all their rules on censorship of the internet in place, like in the EU, you will be gagged with your own socks, and chained at the Oars of the Slave Ship Canada.
Bingo….Sheep indeed.
Shaped by our mostly bloodless history . WWI and WWII notwithstanding.
Real Canadian History has not been taught in schools since Tommy Dougl(_i_) appeared & Public Service unions were Certified.
75 yrs of Socialist Indoctrination has brought us to this stage. I’m advising my kids to not have children…or if they do..? HOME SCHOOL them
The only way a Liberal could earn my respect is by finally realizing what they are and then stretching a length of rope.
I remember something a secretary I know told me. She had worked at a high school and a provincial court. She said “The only people that I’ve met that are more arrogant than teachers are judges”. Trudeau dragging a provincial chief court justice through the mud to save himself may have unexpected consequences. Judges have VIP status and access to people and information, too. If I was trying to hide from legal problems, I don’t think angering judges is a good move.
Anyway, I hope Trudeau hangs on long enough that it’s too late to replace him before the election. He’s in trouble, his advisors and PR people are terrible and voters think he is lying and covering up something hugely damaging.
Not all voters LC, the LIEbrawls support stubbornly is retained at a 30% support level/floor. Those voting Canadians are stuck on stupid, “our family ALWAYS votes Liberal”, or are the selfie/dreamy crowd.
Its not just Canada, western society is suffering from an immense trend of being dumbed down, and accepting it most willingly
It looks like the Liberals are in trouble in the area around toronto (905?). Apparently losing the 905 means losing the election. Its why the Liberals are in full attack mode. With the judge they’ve dragged out many of their favorite old boogeymen to smear JWR and Philpott : homophobic, anti-choice, hidden agenda. It shouldn’t be long before they reach “soldiers on our streets” level of smearing of JWR, Philpott and any conservatives around that they can drag through the mud. The same shit they’ve been using to smear “scary, right-wing” conservatives for decades. Apparently, the Liberals think that’s the winning ticket to regain support in the 905. I have doubts that this strategy will work this time.
yep.
same t’ing wit’ new(?) demoncraps.
and certain hard core right wing CONservatists.
watch for it, listen for it. they know who they are.
Remember when the Trudeau Liberals were trying to force banks to give them detailed copies of Canadians personal banking transactions :
“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is defending a decision by Statistics Canada to compel banks and financial institutions to release the personal transaction data of 500,000 people without their consent…Trudeau said his government would ensure that all personal information would be protected and the anonymized data will be used for statistical purposes only.”
After leaking confidential discussions and very personal information about a provincial chief justice whose wife was battling cancer….does anyone still trust Trudeau Liberals with their personal banking info? The cynics and critics were proved right in a spectacular fashion — governments cannot be trusted to protect your privacy or maintain confidentiality. They did it to a judge without hesitation so I doubt they’d think twice about doing this to any other Canadian citizen.
‘be used for statistical purposes only’.
Well now how the financial data are actually used would depend on the definition of statistical purposes.
Since Justin has control of all committees and the ethics commissioner is a Turdeau appointee, I am sure the data will be used for Liberal purposes.
It’s telling that the Bar Association is more worried about defending infanticide and doing damage to the mentally ill than it is about the Law…
With friends like those in the legal industry, who needs enemies?
it boils down to the TURDoo adores communism.
it’s that mindset, power above all else. power. power, power, and more power.
did I mention justturd’s bedtime reading is mao’s little red book?
reading is mao’s little red book
I don’t think so. There aren’t any pictures for him to colour in and, even if there were, he’d use nothing but red crayons.
If JWR was promoting judge Joyal it wasn’t because of his being offside on LGBPT issues……Think about it. Are those her issues?
My guess is, if she promoted him at all, he’s onboard with her thinking on native issues.
This is a false flag. Justin is relying on Canadians’ fear of social conservatism to distract from his criminality.
Regarding the SNC Lavalin debacle, it seems this bunch can’t stop stepping on their peckers. Will the voters cut them off?
