They breathlessly reported that McCain celebrated his seventieth birthday, in August 2006 (two years before his nomination) on a yacht anchored in Kotor, Montenegro, hosted by an Italian convict with Russian ties. (Obviously, since Montenegro is a vassal state of Russia’s.) The now infamous Oleg Deripaska, also moored his megayacht in the same harbor on the same day.
There is no evidence, but no question, McCain spent part of his stay as Deripaska’s guest. I mean if he can celebrate his birthday in a Russian vassal state, he shouldn’t have had any aversion to going on board the megayacht, and it would be part of Deripaska’s grand design to influence American politics to hobnob with a U.S. senator.
At least, most of the MSM in 2008 thought so, and mercilessly attacked McCain for it. Of course, then McCain was the Republican nominee, now he was the just deceased maverick who attacked the sitting president from his own party. But the facts are incontrovertible, and the conjecture most reasonable. It was the height of hypocrisy for McCain to have attacked President Trump for supposed Russian ties. And as I believe that the truth will set ye free, I will speak it rather than not speaking ill of the dead. I have nothing but contempt for McCain for his behavior since Trump won the nomination.
