Pathetic.
Don't cover the chants protesting against an Islamic republic.
Don't cover the courageous Iranian woman defiantly removing her hijab to protest the Islamic dress code.
But run this instead.

Reminder: Justin Trudeau’s brother Alexandre made a pro-Iran documentary in cooperation with their state broadcaster, Press TV. The Trudeaus love the ayatollahs like they love the Castros.

I literally just looked at the CBC and found a story on Iran from an hour ago that does indeed talk about anti-regime protests. He could have done the same.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/iran-protest-rally-arrests-students-1.4468367
Unlike Obama, the Trump administration almost immediately issues a statement in support of the protestors.
https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-administration-announces-support-for-iran-protests
Dare I say it? The collapse of the present government in Iran would be a New Year’s wish come true.
Iranians are by nature a capable, innovative people. They can do so much better for themselves than continuing to exist under this regime.
“There is discontent over unemployment, rising prices and alleged corruption. The protests have also turned political over issues including the Islamic Republic’s involvement in regional conflicts such as those in Syria and Iraq.”
Whew! For a minute I was worried. Sure glad to read that the protests have nothing to do with living under a despotic regime that tramples on every human right imaginable.
It’s OUR State Dept. again. I am proud to be an American again today. Thank you, President Trump, Thank you, Trump voters … each and every one of you. I really LOVE ya maaaan. Supporting people’s of the earth yearning for FREEDOM. Freedom from the chains of fundamentalist Islamic oppression.
Now … do you suppose the CBC will broadcast the … ‘pro government’ … smashing of heads and torturing of protestors ?
I would have thought the CBC’s mission would be to bring you the news and that you shouldn’t have to go looking for it. As of right now, the CBC’s main page for World News is still showing the story referred to in the tweet. If you are relying on the CBC as a reliable news source you are a fool.
At the end of the day Iranians all love Islam and hate everything else. Screw them all six ways from Sunday.

“unme squeals… found a story on Iran”
unme, sweetie… i thought you be embarrassed to show your face
after mounting a defense of canada’s biggest opiod dealer ever…
“The only outrage here is the continued persecution of people for
committing non-crime such as drug dealing and owning guns.”

Not just if he’s relying on the CBC as a reliable news source.
Make sure to life with your knees when you’re moving those weighty goalposts.
That’s your answer – an insult? You are the one moving the goalposts. Or don’t you think what news sites choose to feature on their home page is important ?
Maybe you happened to see this story while you were perusing CBC searching for Iran stories?
Berlin to set up safe zone for women at New Year’s Eve party
Care to comment since you are the one who usually insists that these assaults never happen?
Well if they have their way, pretty soon ya won’t be seeing stuff like that on Twatter or Feces Book either.
Why aren’t you guys on Gab?
It’s the CBC. It’s the Canadian Pravda. Of course they would run something anti-Trump and pro-Iran or pro-socks. It’s in CBC’s nature.
*
believe it or not… there are actually folks out-cbcing the cbc…
i give you the “bataclan love story“…
“The film is understood to centre on a fictional romance
between a single mother and an Afghan refugee who meet
on the night of 13 November as they rescue survivors of
the attacks.”
somebody hand unme a handkerchief.

I can’t keep track any more … who are the good guys? Is there a list somewhere?
*
“ace asks… who are the good guys?”
well, i guess this guy is supposed to be one…
“a single mother and an Afghan refugee”
you know, a fictional afghani muslim who doesn’t
get all murder-y when he comes across an
unwed infidel mom.
out in the real world, your guess is as good as
anybodys.

I prefer BBC News. Not because they are less biased (all news is inherently so in some way or another by its very nature) but because they at least report the news in a useful, hierarchical manner: the big global events come first, reported by journalists actually in location, before finally arriving at the more mundane and the outright fluffy.
By contrast, CBC News is all over the map; its line-up is a hodge-podge of news items interspersed with tedious “Canadian issues” and the always inevitable indigenous angle. Sorry, Nahlah Ayed standing on the street in London while reporting on the situation in South Sudan does not constitute “international news”.
Incidentally, am I alone in finding the latest iteration of The National to be a hopeless muddle? I’m almost inclined to yell: “Come back, Peter Mansbridge! All is forgiven!”
So much this. BBC may be leftist, but they’re professional. They know how to do the news and can actually do some good reporting. The CBC is so…weak. Even their website sucks.

“jjm says… tedious ‘Canadian issues’ and the always
inevitable indigenous angle.”
oh, c’mon…. what have you got against “haida darth vader?”

Perhaps this time the US President will assist, rather than the previous one who opposed, these desires for lirerty. Remember, no mullah is a moderate, including Ruhani.
The Trudeaus love the ayatollahs like they love the Castros.
And the Chinese, all good basic dictatorshps he’s envious of.
Tim … don’t be silly … this is just life in the big city now. The new normal. The REAL Islamo-tic.
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/28/nyregion/times-square-new-years-eve-security.html
The people of the world (all us infidels) simply need to barricade themselves … like we were living in a walled Medievil city. Get used to it. This is our future … until we totally ELIMINATE Islam from the face of the planet. Or … until Islam wants to advance a few centuries and join civilization where it is today.
“Talked about” is the right description. Talked about, not reported.
The linked report said:
At the same time, social media postings said a third day of protests broke out in cities including Tehran, Shahr-e Kord and Kermanshah, where a video showed dozens of protesters booing after police announced on a loudspeaker that any gathering would be illegal. The footage could not be authenticated.
It “talked about” what social media said which “could not be authenticated.” Apparently, only the “pro-government” report can be trusted. That is not reporting. Reporting is to go to Tehran (largest city in Iran, shouldn’t be a problem getting there) and see the protesters and talk to them first hand. If the police tries to stop it, then that fact in itself is worth reporting.
“Apparently, only the “pro-government” report can be trusted. ”
Your dishonesty is breath-taking. You are clearly capable of rationalizing anything you want to fit any narrative you want.
If someone could simply explain to the dictators / mullahs that rule over Iran that this “rebellion for freedom” is a step to the return of the Twelver that’d be swell.
The CBC is working for the other side, not just of political bent, but against freedom, liberty, and all that is good.

“Leftists always project.” ~ Vox Day
They aren’t the only ones as this place makes clear.
Unthing, I looked up extra-stooped in the dickshonairy, and your name came up instead.
CBC? What’s that? When their ads were superimposed on FOX (a dreadful CRTC allowance by the way) for the new National, their byline was this whining line “LISTEN, JUST LISTEN!” Dreadful bleating from Pravda.
Sorry, the Corpse is not on my dial anymore, if it was, I would be buying new TVs, replacing those being thrown rocks at Corpse reporters, lying through their teeth.
Its a despicable waste of taxpayers dollars. ALL SJW Propaganda, ALL the time!
By the way, the Spawn’s brother is an avowed communist. The apple doesnt fall far from the tree.
“The CBC is so…weak.”
Understatement. However when the taxpayer provided funding continues regardless of performance, what incentive is there to improve? It’s like having a guaranteed six figure salary and only showing up for work when you want and then doing a p*ss poor job anyway.
The list of things that could legitimately use a billion plus per annum is almost endless yet government insists on staying the course and flushing it down the big CBC toilet. It would be borderline laughable if it wasn’t so tragic.
I hope they not only succeed in removing the dictators in Iran but do it fast enough to take possession of government information that will make clear all deals had with the prior USA administration, and any other related “charitable” foundations. (cough cough …Clinton…cough).
They will need the million in the street level of commitment though.
That photo of Justin’s bro Alexandre DOES prove one thing: Castro definitely ain’t the daddy of Justin. Those two look so much alike,it’s like they’re BROTHERS,with the same Mommy and daddy,Pierre and Margaret.
Sorry, the Corpse is not on my dial anymore, if it was, I would be buying new TVs, replacing those being thrown rocks at Corpse reporters, lying through their teeth.
I’ve found that changing channels or switching off the telly might be considerably easier on my bank account….
The CBC is not my Canada.

‘Protests are due to the economy’. In related news, the Benghazi attack was caused by a film.
“… who are the good guys?”
Define your good. Those who define it the same way are the ‘Good guys’.
Alternately, the Good guys could be the guys who don’t see any reason why they should interfere with what you view as being good because it doesn’t cause or prevent anything that is bad to others-minus-their-minset and they don’t want to tax it just because you want it and should have it.
YMMV, just my opinion.
Freedom. You were born free plus nothing you added, why shouldn’t you live free with what you did add?
They need to throw of the Islamic yoke.
