Red Rose Country

Notley calls BC chaotic and unstable.

“It would cause nothing but chaos and instability,” said Notley. “And it would absolutely stop dead in its tracks, the economic recovery that our government is proud to be leading right now.”

Ralph is rightly deified for his moral clarity in cutting AB’s credit card. If the UCP under Kenny could do that he would achieve a similar legacy.

  1. “If the UCP under Kenny could do that he would achieve a similar legacy.”
First he has to win the leadership. Doesn’t have my vote.

  2. Klein was wrongly deified for getting back to a balanced budget. Steve west and a few others did the heavy lifting. That and a recovery in oil prices.

  3. Shows the marxists are clueless about economics.
Running 10 Billion dollar deficits is not a sign of success. Remind the Dummy in Ottawa, between rehearsing his middle class Schtick, that 25 Billion deficits does not entertain a hot economy, but can help interest rates rise. Oh, jeez, look at that! Another legacy he wants to emulate from his evil sperm donor

  4. Just to be clear, she didn’t call BC “chaotic and unstable”, she claimed that ALberta would be, if they followed Kenny’s plan.
Much as I disliked the previous Clarke Gov’t., BC’s new NDP/Green collaboration is hot to follow Notley into debt.

  5. …”the economic recovery that our government is proud to be leading”

    Huh..what???
The details of that leadership must not have made it through to us here in BC, from what I hear, her government is impeding recovery.
But then lefties don’t have a firm grasp on reality, if they did they wouldn’t be lefties.

  6. Knowing that Kennedy is just saying this to get elected, I have the feeling his strategy would lock in Rachael’s second term. The big elephant in the room is low oil prices and the lack of diverse markets for Canada’s oil. Our major buyer is pumping out record amounts of oil for themselves.

  7. What many people don’t realize is thanks to Ralph’s tax rates Alberta became home to a oil based but diverse economy where oilfield related manufacturing plays a major role. Yes the exploration and production of oil and gas is down but the demand for oilfield technology is still strong and Alberta based manufacturing companies are shipping their state of the art products all over the world. Rachel has a solution for that. She simply wants to spend Alberta into a position where it must increase its tax burden and have those manufacturing jobs leave her jurisdiction. She is socialist after all and as Hayek famously said, “If socialists understood economics they wouldn’t be socialists”.

  8. Knowing Kenney for 14 years I know that he means it. He will be the most conservative premier in Canadian history.

  9. Schweitzer is sane on social issues, and has come out for partly reversing the $15 an hour min wage back down by a few dollars. No one else has. Kenney achieved nothing while in government except to impose S13 limits on free speech at the border, and making it harder for employer to get temporary foreign employees which damaged the Canadian economy.

  10. Thanks GORD TULK for letting us know who you are behind. Now we know who to vote against and where to send the money. I will let Kenney’s people know that their chances of winning are mushed thanks to the cooler GORD TULK!! You are the political equivalent of the kiss of death.
