Personally I think the University of Delaware has every right to do with their employees as they wish. I also think there should be some leeway in holding employees accountable to the mob for speech made outside of the office. I understand she wasn’t an employee but just a contractor awaiting renewal and that does change things.

The “professor” scrunt is sort of right, but for the wrong reasons. Seems to me young Warmbier thought he could blithely misbehave in in Nork-land because he was some kind of special snowflake with good intentions, and warm fuzzies for the regime, not because of “white privilege”.

I am so glad to learn this educator-cretin is only an adjunct professor. Hopefully, that means she is not now (nor ever will be) tenured. You do realize that the only side of the story we have ever heard was the one provided by the North Koreans. If you choose to believe them and the coerced confession, go ahead. But remember they have been doing this kind of stuff since the Korean war.

Going to North Korea especially as an American is giving a corrupt communist regime a juicy bargaining chip. It is a pretty stupid thing to do and it doesn’t matter what you do in the country.
