  1. I am certain that Putin will draw a RED LINE for Isis … only it won’t be a FAKE red line like our feckless outgoing president likes to scribble in crayon.

  2. If countries were people, Russia would be a psychopathic gangster. The Russian president is an evil man who does evil things. I have no admiration or respect for the brutal tyrant. However, Putin does understand geopolitics in a way Obama never did. If an adversary hits you with a stick, you run him over with a tank. The next day, without any further provocation, you run over his family with a tank. The next day, without any further provocation, you level the town where your adversary lived (past tense). The next day you ask your adversary if they have any further problems. There will be a terrible price to pay for the assassination of the Russian ambassador. By contrast, the US under Obama and Hillary did not even try to save their ambassador, their ambassadorial staff or their security personal in Libya. Trump and Putin will find common cause to eliminate, to a great degree, the scourge of islamic terrorism rather than to rationalize and justify it as Obama and Hillary did. Does that make Putin a good man? Absolutely not, but if the allies could find a way work with Stalin to stamp out the nazis, perhaps Trump can find a way to work with Putin to stamp out islamic terrorism.

  3. I wonder if the shooter was named Mohammed Gavrilo Princip?
Hopefully Putin will direct his ire at ISIS and the Sunni supporters of ISIS.
Turkey is still a part of NATO, and the US is required to defend Turkey. The Democrat US Administration is also saying that Russia has been hacking the US Government and both political parties, which sounds like an act of war committed by Russia. Thirty two more days to go. I can’t see Barack deciding that a nuclear war is one way to extend his reign of error.

  4. Obama’s leaving a scorched earth in his wake. By design. Intentional. Malicious. He essentially wants to leave Trump a big steaming pile of poo on the desk in the Oval Office the morning of January 20. And he’s going to make sure to chow down a rather large Indian/Mexican fusion meal the night before.

  5. Well they have no compunction about shooting you in the back.
Welcome to the battle of “Aleppograd”.
I can see ‘peace’ breaking out for Christmas.

  6. All right, media – how is a dead ambassador the result of an “attempted assassination”? It sounds rather successful to me.

  7. The assassin is a cop.
They checked everyone at the door for weapons, except,of course, the cops, because they are there to protect you.
This is why only the police and the military should be allowed to own guns, because you just never know…………..

  8. A truck plows into a christmas market in germany… Breaking…wonder if akbarr is contagious.

  9. They promised attacks during the Christmas holidays so there will be attacks. The only thing the West doesn’t know is where and when.
If the driver turns out to be a Lutheran, then this was an accident.

  10. This is being breathlessly reported on both CBC and CTV, they don’t know what to call the perp,as “gunman” isn’t appropriate. So far,10 dead, over 50 injured. No motive.
    Truckman?

  11. Does one “act of war” cancel out another? Because I’d bet my touque on a -30 degree day that the Americans are doing the same thing.

  12. The assassin was well dressed in a suit. One of the stations(CTV or CBC) showed the shooting, seems to me he was shot in the back, I saw the front of his clothes pop out.

  13. Putin sez…..
“There can only be one response – stepping up the fight against terrorism. The bandits will feel this happening.”
You can put your bet on that.

  14. “Assassination attempt…..”?
Smells like Obamba was successful according to the rules of Nobel Peace Prize 2.0.

  15. CBC – Forget dead Germans, we need to figure out a way to spin the gun in Turkey as western made and not made in Eastern Europe or Third World!
    TODAY PEOPLE!!!!

  16. A handsome well-dressed intelligent-looking clean-shaven guy who would be the last person suspected in a crowd.
We can be sure that very soon the liberal press will interview his co-workers, friends and family and we’ll all learn what a really nice guy he was, and they’re completely surprised.
Most likely studied the Qua’ran daily, did the ritual daily prayers and attended the mosque regularly.

  17. Original report said he gained entry with police ID. Want to bet whether it was real or fake?

  18. Jamie MacMaster >
‘…he gained entry with police ID. Want to bet whether it was real or fake?’
CBC – OMG, fake ID? You must be a “birther”, and that means RACIST, Homophobe, Xenophobe and and……

  19. Too soon for “Did you hear the Russian diplomat to Turkey changed underarm deodorants; his Right Guard was killing him” jokes?
