I glanced at comments to the New York Times article about the event. Some lefties there were saying that the marines’ success in stopping the Jihadi proved that citizens don’t need guns to stop criminals. That the Muslim terrorist was the only one on the train with a weapon was lost on these idiots.

It seems that only people who, like these Americans, have been raised in a nation where they have been taught that they have a right to life and to use lethal force to defend it. Elsewhere, the victims and potential victims of Jihad seem much more bovine (having outsourced their adult responsibilities of self defense to the state). The (natural) right to self defense, by extension and practicality means freedom to choose to pack heat. Our future in the West promises increased levels of Jihad activity, likely directly proportional to the percentage of domestic Islamic population. Multiculturalism will do that to a nation.

The AK-12 looks to be a serious real life advancement over the AK-47. Albeit only marginal in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare reviews!
FWIW – All military caliber ammunition is banned for civilian use in France, regardless of gun style including 7.62 x 39mm. Along with a host of Hunting and Sport shooting restrictions, ammunition purchase regardless of caliber is restricted/ limited to licencing purposes of the firearm.
