  1. The New York Times, the paper that was outraged by the “draw Muhammad” contest and printed a column explaining that they won’t run photos that offend the religious, Tweets

This portrait of Pope Bendict XVI is made out of 17,000 condoms

  2. “one of the most unjustly maligned foods”
    ‘unjustly maligned’, it is.
    Tasty, it is not.
Boiled organs and oatmeal stuffed into the lining of a sheep’s stomach. Not appetizing, but variations of this saved many lives.
I will always remember my granpa breaking turkey bones to suck out the marrow and telling me to do the same, and EAT the fat, it will keep you alive.
    I did.
He didn’t need to do that, not at all, but old habits die hard.

  3. I have not yet tasted hagis in my relatively short 67 years. If I ever have the chance, I will certainly taste it. I say this because only in the last 2 months I have begun eating kimchee. If you like fermented vegetables and hot pepper, it is great. I am speaking of the relatively new stuff at the local Asian Market. I’m not yet on board to try the stuff that has been buried a very long time.

  4. TimR….what a doofus the twit is! My post (before it probably gets canned)…..”OMG. What a commie/useful idiot. The ERT has been part of the show since forever. I truly hope most of the posters here don’t need help when the “moderate” Muslims are raping and enslaving your daughters, and giving LGBT etc flying lessons off of ten story buildings. Must of been a big sale on tinfoil lately. Or you all work for the public service?”

  5. Unfortunately, people will read the article . . . quite a few have posted anti-Harper remarks, and then they will not get to the explanation regarding the demonstration until a few comments at the end. I think most will not see the info about this show pre-dating Harper. Misinformation is put forward over and over again.

  6. What’s the deal with Harper repurposing ISIS fear propaganda into Conservtive fear propaganda. Conservatives and ISIS are partners in peddling fear. Don’t you guys have any standards at all.

  7. The Scots invented haggis, golf and curling – and scotch whiskey to make those three palatable.

  8. This might be Racketeering by Moveon.org. A Criminal conspiracy to damage interstate commerce. Federal
According to a new petition on MoveOn.org, at least 700,000 people want Macy’s to tell DonaldTrump, “you’re fired.” The petition follows Trump’s campaign kick-off speech in which he addressed the topic of immigration with some rather controversial comments, including references to Mexican immigrants as “rapists” and “killers,” according to the petition

  9. Toronto Sun, Monday, June 29. Gerry Nicholls nails it.
    http://www.torontosun.com/2015/06/28/free-election-speech-under-attack
“people who favored the gag law told me not to worry, since it would just infringe on free speech during elections”
“Suddenly it’s being argued we need more restrictions on free speech. [Law professor Michael] Pal, for one, regards the fact that the gag law is in effect only during elections as a ‘loophole’, which is why he’s advocating it be imposed year round.”
Not only that, but the left considers everything political, so they might try to use that as an excuse to clamp down on all speech year-round.
Would it be a surprise if that were their real goal?

  10. Michael Pal is from the University of Ottawa.
Take anything that comes out of the mouths of their ‘academics/professors’ with a huge grain of salt.
The U of O is a cesspool of hate aimed towards Canadian values. They do not like independent thought or independent society.
It is run by Allan Rock, the father of the gun registry. It is a very ‘progressive’ institution.
The U of O produces more ISIS recruits than any other university in Canada.
    That is not a coincidence.

  11. From the Maclean’s June 29 2015 story: “Maclean’s first heard of Mulcair’s negotiations with the PMO several months ago …”
I’m surprised neither Maclean’s nor the writer of the article, Martin Patriquin, were aware of Mulcair’s brief flirtation with the Conservatives.
I guess they did not read this 2011 story:
    http://cnews.canoe.com/CNEWS/Politics/2011/07/28/18483351.html
“The NDP’s new boss [MP Nycole Turmel] had to answer questions on whether one of the party’s deputy leaders – Outremont MP Thomas Mulcair – flirted with joining the Conservative Party before aligning himself with the NDP in 2007.”
Mind you, no details about the negotiations were given in that article.

  12. …Meanwhile, in Baltimore yesterday, nine people were shot in that small city of only 600,000 people.
From the comments sections of the Baltimore Sun: ‘Police have advised citizens to Be On The Lookout For two Confederate flags with guns, last seen running North on Central Ave.’

  13. I do believe that many Scots would agree with you.
What is the big deal about haggis. It is just like pork sausage, except made from sheep offal rather than pig guts.

  14. “Two dead after man sets himself on fire on Japan bullet train”
    Channel News Asia
    …-
“The Lonely End: In aging Japan, thousands die alone and unnoticed every year”
“With one of the fastest aging populations in the world and traditional family structures breaking down, Japan’s kodokushi phenomenon is becoming harder to ignore—not that the government and the Japanese people don’t do their best to sweep it under the carpet. Inaccurate statistics abound, with confusing definitions of what is and isn’t considered kodokushi being created in the process. According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, there were some 3,700 “unaccompanied deaths” in Japan in 2013. However, other experts estimate the number is nearer30,000 a year.”

  15. Remember, #LoveWins.
    “Angel: You’re an idiot.
    Jonathan: Hi, kill yourself. Thanks
Jim: You’re a f**king clown. That drivel you wrote on the Blaze is the biggest piece of sh*t since Atlas Shrugged. You call yourself a journalist? You’re a f**king mope living in a vacuum of fear and hate. SMFH.
Nikki: I kind of really hope Matt Walsh burns in hell. And that’s really mean to say. But good lord he’s an awful human..
Annie: I’d like to let you know that you are a privileged piece of trash and everything that comes out of your mouth is complete and utter bullsh*t.
Bella: the Supreme Court matters more than some bigot with a sh*tty blog and ugly kids. Try again
Anthony: Oh Matt, you are a perfect assh*le… Take your worthless version of the bible, and set yourself on fire. That would make my Sunday:)
Marc: Matt Walsh is a F**king MORON!
Steven: F**k you, you f**king worthless douche.
Maria: Matt you really are a piece of sh*t.
Brian: The world would be so much better off with you.
Matthew: Go f**k yourself, Walsh. You not only are a bigot, but you ignore facts and twist and distort truths to make your false point. It’s a common tactic I see from people like you. Equality wins out, bigot.

  16. Who knew, going off platform with a massive tax increase was “forging new role for Alberta on national stage?”
So acting autocratically, assuming absolute authority and jetting in out of province policy carpetbaggers to decarbonize Alberta is “new” is it? Sounds like the same old same old, except for the part about decarbonizing the province. It kind of reminds me of the heady days of fast ferry fiascos and the Glen Clark NDP in BC of yesteryear. One trick and one term ponies, both of them.

  17. Go easy on them. Perhaps they couldn’t find any more leftist oil hating watermelon activists who didn’t have a criminal record.
