Reader Tips

There have been reports coming in from the territories that last night’s tips music selection seriously harshed people’s mellow and provoked a slew of assaults, so tonight we dial down the intensity a bit with Arthur Lyman’s relaxing version of a 19th-century Haitian song that would later have English lyrics added to it and become known as Yellow Bird.
There, that should do the trick. The comments are open, as always, for your Reader Tips.

That is so true!! I’ve seen students bused as far away as 42 miles on a ”French” bus so they can attend what Francophones refer to as ”A Francophone School.” So what happens when these poor little children are exposed to English?? Do they dream about the Union Jack?? Do they wake up with a craving for plum pudding?? It’s not the kid’s fault–it’s the insanity off the parents.
And in the end–you can thank ”Pierre” Trou D’eau!!

“No April Fool’s Prank! Parts Of Europe Wake Up To Snow! Minus 40°C At 5000 Meters Elevation! Snow For Easter”
“There’s no doubt Europe’s 2014/15 winter was a mild one, which was welcome as the continent had reeled from a string of 5 consecutive colder than normal winters in a row, from 2008 to 2013.
Unfortunately we cannot say the same for spring this year, at least so far. A blast of cold air is now gripping much of the continent and people in many areas this morning are waking up to snow (see here).”

“Wynne said Wednesday that the review found “there’s no clear unconstitutionality” so Ontario will be upholding the law.
A coalition of sex-trade workers and their supporters has previously called on Wynne to not enforce the law, which criminalizes paying for sex, communicating for sex or advertising sex services.”

  7. The federal prostitution law that criminalizes the buyers but not the sellers is a feminist’s wet dream. It’s like the sound of one hand clapping.
As for Indiana, I haven’t read much about the legislation, but “a person’s rights are not violated by a private individual’s refusal to deal with him” (Ayn Rand). Wynne is right that any business that doesn’t like the law is free to move to Ontario. The problem is that Ontario has thousands of other bad laws they’ll have to deal with.
