This Is Not Your Grandma’s Humane Society

Telegraph;

“The idea is to get these court cases written up in local newspapers, so that little old ladies can read about how the RSPCA is battling animal cruelty and give them lots of money in their wills,” says Mr Foster.
Of course, if those little old ladies really knew what the RSPCA was doing with their money, they might not be so enthusiastic. For example, as was revealed in one leaked report, the RSPCA “euthanises” around 50,000 pets every year, making it probably Britain’s largest killer of domestic animals.

  1. It seems that far too many SPCAs have the same operating plan. Ontario’s is nothing but a rogue agency that has been handed extra-ordinary search, seizure and confiscation authorities by a stupid and corrupt government aided by a useless opposition.
    To make matters worse, all of the MSM have studiously avoided the serial horror stories of illegal entries, confiscations and the ruination of so many lives of good, decent people. W5 and the Fifth Estate are nowhere to be seen.

  2. Another in the list of reasons I rarely donate to charities. So many have become self-perpetuating money generators for radicals and charlatans their major focus being on the enrichment of their officers and the raising of their profiles with their original raison d’être a mere theatrical side show sufficient only to keep the scams going.
    I have a charitable organization to which I donate my time and skills directly so I know exactly where they go and I know exactly who is helped and in what fashion. It’s far more rewarding that way at any event.

  3. Ditto here. I have a few charities that I donate towards and which I know spend the money honestly and properly. United Way, Red Cross not being among them them.
    It is unbelievable the extent to which the public is being cheated and misinformed by so many organizations today.

  4. These various Humane Societies have been taken over by the same bunch of idiots who founded PETA their mindless philoephies and their idiotic ideas and their mindless babbling as well

  5. “the RSPCA “euthanises” around 50,000 pets every year, making it probably Britain’s largest killer of domestic animals.”
    Cattle and chickens are domestic animals. So are the fish farmed to feed Briton’s their fish and chips. The RSPCA is probably not Britain’s largest killer of domestic animals.
    That said, old ladies and old men should either leave their wills to their heirs or donate this money to make a better life for the treatment of old people, many of whom are living abandoned lives of virtual isolation in poverty.

    Won’t happen. Baby seals, which are killing millions of fish a year, are cuter then some 80 year old couple struggling to survive. It is DEFINITELY not “great” Britain anymore.

  7. Yeah. Worse, if giving wills to the old folk’s home became widespread, it would incentivise the people who provide care to kill them to get their money. That’s why the SPCA kills their wards, unionized healthcare providers ditto, to cut down on the budget cost of keeping them and providing them the necessities. It eats up the size of their next pay raise. If people weren’t so evil…
